Streams in the Desert (William Lyon)

from Living Rock Podcast · host Living Rock Church

In this message, William shares a prophetic word for the church titled “Streams in the Desert.” Drawing from Ezekiel 47 and John 7:37–39, he shows that the river flowing from the temple represents the Holy Spirit, who now lives within God’s people. Wherever this river flows, life, healing, and fruitfulness follow. William explains that when we are filled with the Spirit, streams of living water flow from within us — refreshing those around us and transforming even the driest places.Referencing Isaiah 35:6, Isaiah 43:19, and Isaiah 55:1, he reminds us that God is doing a new thing, bringing breakthrough and renewal through His people. As “streams in the desert,” we are called to bring His presence into homes, workplaces, and communities, showing His love through hospitality, unity, and compassion. When the banks burst, William says, the geography will change - a picture of the Holy Spirit’s power to bring life wherever He flows.
