It's not our job to save them but we often grow up wanting to. Wanting to know if we're worth more than those few minutes of high. The constant reconnection can be draining. The end game isn't always a happy ending. Just know that you are not your parents. It's ok to want to be their savior but know that the only one who can save them is them.
