The immune system - A complex and intelligent network

from The Liquid Green Health Show · host The Liquid Green Health Show

The immune system is a complex andintelligent network that works around the clock to defend our bodies fromharmful invaders like bacteria, viruses, and toxins. It’s made up of specialized cells, tissues, and organs that all communicate with one another to identify threats and launch the right response, like a well-coordinated security team. What’s truly fascinating is theimmune system’s ability to 'remember' past infections, helping us build immunity over time. However, when it becomes overactive or misdirected, it can mistakenly attack the body’s cells, leading to chronic inflammation or autoimmune conditions.Helping us unravel some of the complexities of this intelligent network is Dr. Charles Waana of Green World Canada, a R&D company that combines Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with modern scientific technology. Dr. Charles Waana is also a Certified International Trainer in Health and Wellness. He has spent most of his adult life learning about herbalism and other holistic practices. Dr. Waana has a Master’s degree from the University of Toronto in Nuclear Medicine and a Ph.D. from the University of New Brunswick in the application of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance techniques to biological systems. Dr. Waana is a steadfastadvocate for natural healing and feels proud, honoured, and privileged to share his knowledge for the benefit of humanity.
