The Road to Emmaus: Plant Life

from Ruby Valley Baptist Church · host Eric Brown

Jesus, on the road to Emmaus, talked with two disciples.  They were confused by the recent events concerning Christ’s death and resurrection.  Jesus began in the law of Moses, and all the prophets, and expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the thing concerning Himself.  In this ongoing series, we will do the same thing. When God divided the waters above from the waters below, that did several things.  The waters above the firmament protected the earth from all the harmful radiation in space and cause the atmosphere to be near, if not, 100% oxygen.  This allowed the people before the Flood to live for 800-900 years.  The waters above also were the source of the rain for the Flood. Plant life is the first thing brought into existence that can reproduce.  Just as plants die in the winter and come to life again in the spring, so Jesus died, was buried, and rose again on the third day.  Our resurrection is compared in Scripture to seeds that go into the ground and die and resurrect to new life.  In plant life, we see the resurrection of Jesus!DOWNLOAD NOTESDOWNLOAD SLIDES
