Are You Living In the Promised Land? (Part 2)

God intended the people of Israel to enter the promised land immediately upon receiving the word of God at Mount Sinai. He led them to Kadesh Barnea and commanded them to go up and claim the land that God had given them. Yet they did not go in because of unbelief. They, then, had to wander for forty years in the wilderness. Many Christians are still living in the wilderness. They have been redeemed out of “Egypt”. But they have not enter that life of blessedness because of unbelief. Do not hesitate to go up and claim the land by faith that God has given you!

Are You Eating Food Offered Unto Idols?

You may be eating food offered unto idols and not even know it! What does the Bible say about food that’s been offered unto idols?  What are we, as Christians, to do about it?  Pastor Mark Biltz, El Shaddai Ministries or Bonney Lake, WA, first brought this to America’s attention earlier in Jauary 2011 during one of the services at his congregation.  Pastor Brown wants his congregation and others to be aware of what is going on in America. NOTE:  The audio quality about half way through the messages gets degraded.  We apologize for this.  We will try and resolve it before our next message!   HALAL FOOD VIDEO

The Road to Emmaus: Two Great Lights

Jesus, on the road to Emmaus, talked with two disciples.  They were confused by the recent events concerning Christ’s death and resurrection.  Jesus began in the law of Moses, and all the prophets, and expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the thing concerning Himself.  In this ongoing series, we will do the same thing. When God divided the waters above from the waters below, that did several things.  The waters above the firmament protected the earth from all the harmful radiation in space and cause the atmosphere to be near, if not, 100% oxygen.  This allowed the people before the Flood to live for 800-900 years.  The waters above also were the source of the rain for the Flood. God brought into existence two great lights.  Light was not created, but light was given a body.  We can clearly see Jesus in the greater light that rules the day.  The lesser light is those of us who have been born again; we, too, are the light of the world.  We are to let your lights shine before men by reflecting the light of Jesus and His word.DOWNLOAD NOTESDOWNLOAD SLIDES

    Rubies of God's Word 1-31-11

David prayed, “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” The word “wondrous” literally means “miraculous.” There are miraculous things in the law of God, or Torah. Torah does not mean law; it means teaching or instruction. God’s law is not done away with or abolished. Even Paul says that in the New Testament!

The Road to Emmaus: Plant Life

Plant life is the first thing brought into existence that can reproduce.  Just as plants die in the winter and come to life again in the spring, so Jesus died, was buried, and rose again on the third day.  Our resurrection is compared in Scripture to seeds that go into the ground and die and resurrect to new life.  In plant life, we see the resurrection of Jesus!DOWNLOAD NOTESDOWNLOAD SLIDES

The Road to Emmaus: Living Water

Water speaks not only of Jesus, but especially of His salvation.  There are certain characteristics of water that are also true of the salvation Jesus provided.  DOWNLOAD NOTESDOWNLOAD SLIDES

Walk In the Old Paths: The Road to Emmaus

God told Israel, through the prophet Jeremiah, to stand in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way. He told them that therein they would find rest. We live in days much like the days of Jeremiah. We, as Christians, need to ask for the old paths, where is the good way. There are many ways before us; many different ideas, different thoughts and understandings. Which one is the good way? Jeremiah was exhorting God’s people to return to God’s word! They had forsaken the word of God. We, too, need to return to God’s word and learn about Jesus, our Saviour!

Was Jesus Born on December 25th?

We traditionally celebrate Christmas, the birth of the Lord Jesus on December 25th. The church has done this for almost 1700 years. Yet is this when Jesus was born? Does it really matter when Jesus was born, so long as we celebrate His birth? Does the Bible tell us when Jesus was born? Pastor Brown teaches the biblical truth of when Jesus was born.

    Rubies of God's Word 12-27-10

On this past Sunday (12/26), Pastor Brown taught, from the Bible, when Jesus was born. It can be found from study in the Bible that Jesus was born, not in December, but in the biblical month of Tishrei, on the Feast of Tabernacles. But does it really matter? Is there anything wrong with celebrating Jesus’ birth on December 25th? Is it alright for Christians to be ignorant of the real date of Jesus’ birth? It would seem that since His birth coincides with one of God’s appointed times, that we should know and praise God for the dress rehearsals He has given us!

The Gift of Christmas (Part 2): Who We Are In Jesus

Christmas is not really about the birth of Jesus. It is about His humbling Himself, taking on weak human flesh, so that He would be able to die for our sin. The gift of Christmas is that when Jesus took our place on the cross, He paid the price and atoned for all of our sins. The price of all our sins were paid on Calvary. God, was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself. Because of that atonement, we now stand before God, in Christ, just, godly, and righteous. That is the gift of Christmas!

The Gift of Christmas (Part 1)

Christmas is not really about the birth of Jesus. It is about His humbling Himself, taking on weak human flesh, so that He would be able to die for our sin. The gift of Christmas is that Jesus took our place on the cross. You and I deserve to die on the cross; the most awful, torturous death imaginable. Not only that, but Jesus suffered all of God’s wrath while on the cross. And He did it for you and I; He did it in our place. That is the gift of Christmas!
