The Toronto Van Attack - 3 - Alek Minassian is Guilty

from The Canadian Gothic · host CanadianGothic / Curiouscast

Although Canada is no stranger to murder, madness and mayhem, we have been very fortunate to have largely avoided the type of mass murders and shootings that have become common fixtures in other countries with similar cultures to our own. On April 23, 2018, Younge Street in Downtown Toronto was the setting of an event that many Canadians had taken comfort in thinking could never happen here. 25 year old Alek Minassian hit the gas and jerked the wheel of the rented cube van he was driving forcing the vehicle onto a busy sidewalk. For several city blocks Minassian used the vehicle to target pedestrians, killing 10 and injuring 16. In this episode of Nighttime, I am again joined by my best friend Scott to continue our discussion of the Toronto Van Attack. For the third part in this series, our focus is on the judge's decision in the case against Minassian.  Links: the Toronto Van Attack part 1 - https://www.nighttimepodcast.com/episodes/toronto-van-attack the Toronto Van Attack part 2 - https://www.nighttimepodcast.com/episodes/toronto-van-attack-2 Credits: Musical Theme - Noir Tokyo by Monty Datta Provide feedback and comments on the episode: nighttimepodcast.com/contact Nighttime Links: Premium Feed: https://www.patreon.com/nighttimepodcast Website: https://www.nighttimepodcast.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/NightTimePod Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NightTimePod Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nighttimepod Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/nighttimepod Premium Feed: https://www.patreon.com/Nighttimepodcast Learn more about your ad choices.
