The Truth About You Being You...

from The Nicola Moras Show · host Nicola Moras

This morning on the Coffee Run we were talking about the truth about being YOU. About being who you are, fully, in every situation, you find yourself in. One of the things that I find comes up a lot, is the topic of authenticity... The way I see it is that it’s an environmental thing. You can be authentically you at the football, relaxed and jovial and you can be authentically you if you had to give a keynote at a church. You would likely, however, adapt your delivery a little out of respect for the environment you find yourself in. I used to apologise for my energy. Personality. Words. The way I love. How I am. How I look. My values. nd grit. You have to let go of the need to be liked and loved by all... as much as our ego would love it. You have to let go of the shoulds and the have to's. I used to apologise for being me. Literally, I would shrink and adapt myself because I thought that being ME was 'bad and wrong'. I used to apologise for my energy. Personality. Words. The way I love. How I am. How I look. My values. The thing is, you’ve got to let go of the ‘shoulds’, the limits the how you think you have to be. It’s about REMEBERing who you are at every level. I gave a bit of a homework task in today's The Coffee Run and I'd love to hear what comes up for you and what your biggest take away was from today. N x
