The Wait For It Moment

from Verse-By-Verse Ministry With Heather Darnall · host Heather Darnall

How often has something happened to us and we call upon the Lord but nothing comes of it.  And because nothing took place to make us feel like the Lord hears us, we feel like - well, I guess Jesus doesn't care.  The thing is, that's what Satan wants us to think and believe, but God wants us to live in expectation of Him coming through, only He never says how or even when.In today's message, I'm going to discuss the gospel of John 11:17-44, a time when Jesus's closest friends were depending on Him.  So much so, that it was a matter of life and death, yet Jesus seemed unbothered by their urgent request, or like He didn't love them as much since He didn't budge.  But what we tend to dismiss is that He did care, it's just that we don't like the fact scripture says He only takes the council of His will, not ours.  That said, He didn't have to run it by the two sisters who wrote to Him about how He was gonna handle it, or when.  He just wanted them to trust that they'd experience a wait-for-it moment that was gonna blow their mind beyond any miracle He ever performed, just as we're to do the same and asks us the same question He asked one of the sisters, do you believe?  Please note that this is my personal interpretation of the scripture to the best of my current knowledge and understanding.  I encourage anyone to please check and verify as the scripture encourages believers to do so.  There may be times where I have overlooked and/or misunderstood information by mistake which is why verifying is important if you feel lead by the Holy Spirit to do so. Support the show
