Today we listen and learn about a great Italian restaurant called Tufano's and we talk about Italian culture. Our co-host Salvatore is Italian and what was great to discuss is our current times from an Italian point of view. What a lot of people don't know is that Sal comes from a long history of Italian immigration into Chicago. From penniless, humble beginnings his family was able to start a restaurant that's been a Chicago staple for 4 generations. We then discuss the recent spotlight given to Christopher Columbus and calls for the removal of his statue. With so much attention being given to the legacy of revered individuals we thought it important to speak to an Italian and get their feelings. Good Morning Aurora is proud to be a sounding board and a place where all ideas can be discussed freely. Knowledge is power, and when we speak to each other we become more powerful.
