Understanding Strengths within in the Context of Marriage

from The Leadership Vision Podcast · host Nathan Freeburg / Sara Schlipp-Riedel

Send us Fan MailWelcome to the next installment of the Leadership Vision Podcast where we share our expertise in the discovery, practice, and implementation of a strengths-based approach to people, teams, and culture.During today’s episode, Sara Schlipp-Riedel and Nathan Freeburg will be talking about how to utilize Strengths in the context of marriage. They'll be sharing some examples from their own marriages about how they have utilized the language and philosophy of Strengths to better understand their partners. The benefits of having more tools to construct a more accurate image of the people we live with can’t be overstated. That said, there aren’t any shortcuts to understanding this, but if you’re like us, you likely have a plethora of examples to pull from. Sometimes it can be easy to become overly critical and focused on the, let’s call them quirks, of our partners. We fail to notice how those things are likely tremendous Strengths we need to be paying greater attention to. They will also share some ways you can take the first steps towards using this tool with your partner if you’re not already. We believe there is some serious next level, Jedi level understanding, and awareness that can happen when two people, who know each other well (the good, the bad, and the ugly), come together around this shared language and invest into figuring out how to set that other person up for success. This happens by playing to their Strengths more often.About The Leadership Vision PodcastThe Leadership Vision Podcast is a weekly show sharing our expertise in the discovery, practice, and implementation of a strengths-based approach to people, teams, and culture.
