Vulnerability is a Pathway to Power

What makes a man powerful?  It’s not how loud he can get, it’s how vulnerable he can get.  Jeff once had a mentor that told him a boy doesn’t become a man until he no longer fears disapproval, and a man doesn’t become free until he no longer needs approval.  When we no longer need approval, our cup is full.  When our cup is full we are free to be who we are.  Vulnerability is a pathway to power that more often than not will be met with compassion and kindness if we’re brave enough to go there.  So, the next time you’re searching for your power, try going against your instinct to put up walls and instead let them down.
