Jamicka Edwards has a genuine love for life and all people. Although Jamicka has experienced many life trials, she overcomes obstacles and strives to give others hope. She greets everyone with an infectious smile. When you leave her, you will know that You Matter. Jamicka was born and raised in a south suburb of Chicago, IL. After graduating from High School and going to college for one year, she joined the U. S. Army. Her High School Counselor had told her that she wasn't smart enough to attend college. After 14 years of attending six different colleges, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Now an Army Veteran, she currently works for the Department of Veteran Affairs - Veteran Administration Hospital. She motivates and inspires others to live life to the fullest. In 2014, she published her first book - "You Matter, What would living in your purpose every day look like?" She created her own book tour and traveled across the country. She was able to get her book into several public libraries in her home state of Illinois. She recently relocated to Indianapolis, IN raising her three amazing sons as a single mother. She volunteers at their schools, and she does her best not to miss any of their sporting and school events.
