Der CDU-Spitzenkandidat für Thüringen, Mario Voigt, diskutiert am heutigen Donnerstag in einem TV-Duell mit Björn Höcke, seinem Konkurrenten von der AfD. Das Rededuell, das das erste dieser Art ist, wird live bei Welt TV übertragen. Voigt und Höcke wollen unter anderem über den von AfD-Chefin Alice Weidel geforderten Austritt Deutschlands aus der EU debattieren. Ob Voigt es schafft, die AfD inhaltlich zu entlarven, und ob seine Strategie Schule machen könnte, analysiert ZEIT-Politikredakteurin Mariam Lau. Die chinesische Regierung hat im vergangenen Jahr Exportkontrollen auf den Rohstoff Gallium eingeführt. Wer das Mineral kaufen will, muss seitdem eine Genehmigung bei den chinesischen Behörden beantragen. Auch Unternehmen aus Deutschland sind auf den Rohstoff angewiesen, etwa für die Herstellung von Halbleitersubstraten. Laut der China-Strategie, die die Bundesregierung letztes Jahr verabschiedet hat, sollen die Risiken dieser Abhängigkeiten reduziert werden.
