Black Birds No Offence, But is a series of conversations with a range of artists, creatives and professionals where we break away from stereotypes and get to the core of peoples' work and what drives it. We talk about dating, triggers, race, culture, letting go of trauma, body image, self-love, mental health - we laugh, we spill the tea, we cry and we hold space for one another. Hosted on Acast. Animals at the extremes: the desert environment - for iBooks The Open University Animal life has adapted to survive in the most unlikely and inhospitable habitats. This unit looks at the surprisingly diverse desert climates throughout the world and mammals, birds, lizards and amphibians that survive there. It splits these animals into three groups according to their strategy for survival: evaders, evaporators and endurers, then discusses how these strategies work on a biochemical and physiological level. This study unit is just one of many that can be found on LearningSpace, part of OpenLearn, a collection of open educational resources from The Open University.
