The tricky part about having a disorganized attachment style is that the desire for closeness is as strong as the desire for independence. But when you meet a person that activates the desire for closeness, you’ll often overlook red flags due to inner child wounding. And because you grew up in an unsafe (unsafe being emotionally safe as well) environment, the things a ‘secure’ person would react to, you tend to ignore.
