Why the world is more angry today

Ever wondered why anger has become the growing emotion and has replaced joy and happiness. Why in a world where we can communicate instantly, we seem to rub each other up the wrong way. I grew up before the internet and perhaps my generation learned more from direct communication then anything else. This shaped our entire being, respect, empathy and integrity is knowing when you have offended somebody, and more importantly apologizing.
