Self Improvement:" Strategic or Detrimental? | PODCAST | EP 170

Today, we are challenging the idea that "self-help" is a negative concept within Christianity. While our character should be rooted in becoming Christ-like, it is also important for believers to seek excellence and self-improvement.If a concept isn't directly from the Bible, should it be ignored? Even Jesus used real-world examples in his teachings, demonstrating that wisdom can be found outside of scripture to help us live biblically.Self-improvement materials should not become "gospel" or replace the Word of God, but should be filtered through a biblical worldview. Don't forget learning from others is important, even those you may disagree with, as it's a sign of spiritual maturity and security in your relationship with God. The goal is to use all available wisdom to glorify God and to be "good" at what we do, just as the biblical figure Daniel was known for his excellence. This approach should lead to lives that are visibly improved, not just spiritually, but in every area, from health and finances to work ethic, so that others can see that faith truly works.#podcast #christianpodcast

    Reconciliation | PODCAST | Episode 169

In this episode, we dive into the complex and often misunderstood concept of Reconciliation in a biblical context. Reconciliation, at its simplest, is about removing hostility and adversity from situations and relationships—whether with God or with other people. This isn't just a suggestion; it's a central theme of the New Testament and the Kingdom of God. The Bible teaches that because we have been reconciled to God, we are now given the ministry of reconciliation—a responsibility to represent Jesus in our relationships with others.Ultimately, the ministry of reconciliation stems from the love of Christ, which should control and direct how we respond to others, even those who are difficult or annoying. It's a powerful message that challenges the common individualistic approach to faith and reminds us that our relationship with God is meant to bleed into our relationships with one another.#podcast #christianpodcast

Greed Runs Deep | Villains of the Faith | Dr. Tony Soldano

In this sermon, we explore the book of Jude, which warns against those who have a "taste" for things other than God. Jude highlights three Old Testament figures, with a special focus on Balaam, a prophet who could hear from God but was corrupted by greed.Though hired to curse the Israelites, Balaam was only able to bless them. Motivated by a reward, he instead advised the enemy king to seduce the Israelites, causing them to break their covenant with God and bring a plague upon themselves. This story serves as a powerful reminder that the greatest threats often come from within. The sermon challenges us to fight for our faith and not let a "taste" for money or power compromise our integrity. We are encouraged to choose righteousness over material reward, even if it means losing out in the short term, because our true treasure is found elsewhere.#sundayservice #sermon #villain

The Way of Cain - Villains of the Faith | Moses Khan

Join us as we begin a new series called "Villains of the Faith". In this series, we will examine bad examples from the Bible to gain wisdom and learn what not to do. Obtaining virtue from their vices. This week, we're focusing on "The Way of Cain". The Bible is full of good examples to emulate, but it also contains bad examples that we should examine to find warnings and wisdom."The Way of Cain" is characterized by a high view of self and a low view of God. It manifests in three ways:📌Defiant Sin: This is knowingly and intentionally disobeying God's Word and refusing to repent.📌Destructive Relationships: These relationships are marked by a lack of respect, love, and emotional health, which can cause emotional, mental, and spiritual damage. A low view of God always results in a low view of others.📌Distorted Worship: This occurs when we offer God what we want instead of what He asks for. It is a high view of our own preferences, placing ourselves at the center rather than God.The problem with Cain wasn't his sacrifice, but his inability to respond to God's sacrifice. Worship is a response to who God is and what He has done. Just as Jesus was the once-for-all sacrifice, we are called to be a living sacrifice in response. When we truly understand this, we can shift our focus from ourselves to God.✨Don't forget to like and subscribe! ✨#cainandabel #villain #bible #sundaymessage #churchonline

Does the church have "Cancel Culture?" | PODCAST | Ep 167

We're tackling a big topic today: "cancel culture". While we know it's toxic and harmful in the world, the question is, does it exist within the church? Pastor Moses Kohn and Dr. Tony Soldano discuss how the church might be seduced into accepting things the Bible teaches against. We explore the idea that in an effort to be popular and show "love and acceptance," the church may be cancelling holiness and righteousness. However, we also look at the other side of the coin: are we guilty of cancelling people who are on their own spiritual journey? We are in the business of transformation, and that takes time and a lot of patience. We delve into biblical stories like the Prodigal Son and the Woman at the Well, and are reminded that we, too, were once in a place of sin. The Mission We Accept | Relational Intelligence Series | Dr. Tony Soldano

In this sermon, we explore the powerful message of reconciliation with God. We delve into the idea that God has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus and given us the "ministry of reconciliation".We discuss how this mission, while seemingly impossible in our own strength, becomes possible through the Holy Spirit's empowerment. We are not alone; God has sent someone just like Jesus to be with us.We also differentiate between the "gospel of salvation" and the "gospel of the Kingdom," emphasizing that salvation is merely the starting point. Finally, we highlight the ABCs of this mission:Accept the Mission: Our salvation is not private; we must embrace the responsibility of reconciliation.Believe the Mission: We must genuinely believe that Jesus is the only way, truth, and life.Carry Out the Mission: We are called to live out this mission daily, acting as ambassadors for Christ in a world desperately searching for answers. We are simply passing through, our job is to bring as many people with us as possible.

Reconciliation: The Truth About God's Transforming Love 🤝 | Dr. Tony Soldano

Join us as we dive into the powerful truth of reconciliation! 🤝 We explore how God transforms us into new creations, not recycled versions. ✨ This isn't just a mindset; it's a complete change where the old is gone, and everything becomes new through God. We'll challenge the idea that all reconciliation is godly, highlighting that God only wants us connected to what's right. We'll also tackle "cancel culture" in the church and how it pushes aside forgiveness and reconciliation. We believe God has the solution for all, through Christ! Learn how living for Christ means accepting Him as Messiah, not just a good teacher. Consider your relationship with God: Is He a demanding Pharaoh or a loving Father who has already approved you by grace? God is still in the business of redemption, turning messes into testimonies of faith! 🙏 Reconciliation begins with God's pursuit of us. Sin created separation, but the cross brought restoration. It was God in Christ reconciling the world, and now that ministry lives in us! #relationalhealth #reconciliation #church #sundayservice #sundaymessage

Can you have Spiritual Growth without Self-Awareness? | PODCAST | Ep 163

What's up, everyone! 👋 In this episode of "What Was That About?", we're diving deep into something super important: how self-awareness ties into your spiritual journey. We're talking about how your spiritual growth actually has a ceiling, and that ceiling is your self-awareness. We're going to break down why this idea, which a lot of people might not agree with, is actually spot-on. Plus, we'll look at some classic examples from the Bible – think Cain, David, and Peter – and see how their lack of self-awareness held them back spiritually. We also get into "the mind of Christ" and how it's not just something you automatically get. It takes real effort and an open mind to tap into it. And we'll tackle the tricky situation where some spiritual leaders, kind of like the religious bigwigs in Jesus's time, might seem super spiritual but are actually missing that key self-awareness, using their faith as a "crutch".So, how do we actually build this self-awareness? We've got three practical tips for you:1. Get real and honest with yourself and God. Like David said, "Search me, God, and know my heart".2. Invite others into your life for accountability. Sometimes you need a "Nathan" to point out those blind spots you can't see. Leaders, especially, shouldn't be isolated.3. Keep learning and be open to unlearning old habits and emotional responses. It's about growing into a healthier you. Thanks for tuning in to "What Was That About?"! Tongues and Interpretation of Tongues | Dr. Tony Soldano

In this powerful sermon, delve into the spiritual gift of speaking in tongues and its interpretation. This isn't something we create, but rather a gift bestowed by the Spirit of God.This message emphasizes that the initial outpouring of Pentecost, where 120 people in the upper room spoke in tongues, was the first manifestation the Spirit of God gave. This included both known and unknown languages, as evidenced by devout men from various places understanding these "uneducated people" speaking in their native tongues. The gift of tongues is described as a "hotline of the spirit" , a language that bypasses the cognitive mind, allowing direct communication between God's Spirit and ours. It's a way to pray prayers that one might not in their cognitive mind, as the spirit knows what is needed. The purpose of tongues is for:Personal edification Spirit-led prayer and worship A sign to the unbeliever Evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit An expression of surrender and praise #speakingintounges #holyspirit #pentecost
