    Already Won - Brian Davidson - S4:E11

Send us Fan MailBrian Davidson has lived and led between the lines, on the sidelines, and in the stands He’s a four-time Hall of Fame soccer inductee as a player and pioneer who co-founded the Charlotte Eagles and Sports Friends ministries, has served as chaplain for numerous teams, and now pioneers a sports ministry track with The Navigators. With an undergrad degree from Houghton University and a Master’s in Ministry/Discipleship from Liberty University, Brian has taken the gospel to over thirty nations through sport.  He and Christine, his wife of forty-four years, have seven children who have participated in twelve different youth and school sports – one only played at the recreational level, another currently is a football player at Clemson University, and the other five played at all different levels in between. The Davidsons also have ten grandchildren – seven who currently play youth sports. Their family motto is - Love God. Like Sports. Their compelling life vision is this: To always be in position to experience the glory of the impossible—whereby God works in and through them beyond anything they could dream or imagine, and God and God alone receives ALL the glory. "Davidson's 'Playbook of Deception' is a brilliantly convicting and powerfully imaginative work that exposes the subtle spiritual battles waged on the sidelines of youth sports. Inspired by C.S. Lewis's The Screwtape Letters, it translates Lewis’s timeless insight into today’s sports-obsessed culture with unnerving accuracy and deep biblical wisdom. Every letter peels back the layers of how good intentions can drift into idolatry—and just as importantly, how families can reclaim their calling as disciple-makers in the arena of athletics. This book is a wake-up call for Christian parents involved in sports, reminding them what truly matters most. This book will challenge, disturb, unsettle, and inspire you to see youth sports through the lens of eternity and not just earthly metrics." - Brian Smith, author of The Christian Athlete: Glorifying God in Sports and Away Game: A Christian Parent's Guide to Navigating Youth Sports.#AlreadyWon #MoreThanGoldSupport the showFollow us: YouTubeFacebookX (Twitter)InstagramSports-Friends.og
