The Living Witness: Reimagining the Anglican Parish.
Today we are tackling a question that sits at the very heart of the Anglican mission in the 21st century. We live in what sociologists call an "atomized" society. We are more connected digitally than ever before, yet profoundly lonely physically. The neighborhood is often just a place where people park their cars, not a place where they know each other's names. In this landscape, the local parish church can feel like an island of the past, a relic of a time when everyone knew everyone else. But what if the parish isn't a relic? What if, in the post-modern world, the local parish is actually the most radical, necessary, and "living" witness of the Kingdom of God we have?

In this pod tract, Bishop Kevin is emphasizing that the liturgy itself—the structure of the Mass, the rhythm of the Church year, the use of sacred music, and the lectionary is the most fundamental forms of Christian education. It would make a case for why traditional worship is not just a preference, but an essential pedagogical tool for teaching the faith.

PODTRACTS FOR OUR TIMES :Discovering the Anglican Via Media Today
The original Tracts for the Times (1833-1841) were a series of pamphlets written by the leaders of the Oxford Movement—John Henry Newman, John Keble, Edward Pusey, and others. Their purpose was to call the Church of England back to its historic, catholic roots. If a similar series were produced today, the titles and topics would have to speak to the ecclesial, theological, cultural, and ethical challenges that confront not only Anglicans but all Christians who cherish ecumenical fellowship—especially those seeking deeper connections among the legacy churches. This series' aim is to preserve the original spirit of doctrinal depth, ecclesial breadth, and moral seriousness, while framing the discussion for twenty-minute bi-monthly podcasts that function as catechetical teaching moments. Each episode invites listeners to think deeply about serious questions, both within and outside the church.
