Using Your Time Wisely?
When God places an assignment on your heart, excitement often comes with hesitation. You want to step forward, but fear, doubt, or even distractions can cause delay. How many times have you put off a calling—choosing comfort over courage?David understood the value of time. Though known as a warrior king, he spent time developing his gifts—playing the harp, dancing, and even refining his archery skills. More importantly, he never let fear keep him from saying yes to God.Each moment presents a choice—will you invest in God’s calling or let hesitation hold you back? The time you’ve been given is not random; it’s a divine opportunity to walk boldly in purpose."Today, ask yourself: Is something holding me back from fully embracing what God has placed in my heart? As you reflect on that, remember these words: “I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work you gave me to do.” John 17:4 (ESV)This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.Share today’s message, and follow us @bluestoblessings on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. So today, take one small step forward. Be Reflective: Where in your life are you delaying action because of fear or uncertainty? What small step can you take today to move toward what He has called you to do?Be Prayerful:Heavenly Father, help me to use my time wisely. Remove my hesitation and fear so that I may step boldly into the purpose You have placed before me. Guide my steps and remind me that every moment is an opportunity to glorify You. Blindsided...Again
Webster defines “blindsided” as being “surprised unpleasantly,” and many of us know that feeling all too well. One moment you’re standing tall, hopeful about a long‑awaited season, and the next, something hits you so hard it knocks the wind out of you. And often, when we get back up, we don’t rise the same way. We stand guarded. We whisper, “Never again.”But even in those moments, God offers a path forward.First, trust even more in the unseen. The only way out of what you couldn’t see coming is to lean into the God who sees everything.Second, guard your heart. Not with walls, but with wisdom — processing the pain so it doesn’t poison your spirit.Third, keep pressing. You were born for this moment, and God promises a harvest for those who don’t give up.Even when you’re blindsided, He is with you.As you reflect on that, remember these words: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 (ESV)This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.Share today’s message, and follow us @bluestoblessings on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. So today, stay your course.Be Reflective: How can you continue to press forward with hope and perseverance, even when faced with setbacks? In what ways can you guard your heart to ensure it remains pure and focused on God’s love and guidance?Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, in moments when I am blindsided by life’s challenges, help me to trust in Your unseen work and greater plan. Help me to guard my heart and fill me with the strength to persevere in faith and good deeds. May Your promises restore my hope and guide me through every storm. Amen. Letting Go of the "Just in Case" Life
There’s a quiet freedom that comes when you stop carrying what God never asked you to hold. When Jesus sent His disciples out with no purse, no bag, no backup plan, He wasn’t being harsh — He was inviting them into a life anchored in trust rather than fear. A life where provision meets you on the way, not before you start. As the spring travel season approaches, it’s easy to pack our minds and hearts with “just in case” worries — extra tasks, extra pressure, extra expectations. But Jesus gently calls you to travel lighter. To release the weight of what‑ifs and rest in the truth that your Father already knows what you need. When you loosen your grip, you make room for joy. For presence. For the quiet assurance that you will not lack.As you reflect on that, remember these words -- “When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?”Luke 22:35This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.Share today’s message, and follow us @bluestoblessings on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. So today, choose faith over fear. Be Reflective: What “just in case” burdens are you carrying that God may be inviting you to release? How might your days feel different if you trusted God to meet your needs as they arise?Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, teach me to travel light. Help me to release the worries, expectations, and extra weight I’ve been carrying. Remind me that You know my needs before I speak them and that Your provision never fails. Make my heart spacious with trust and filled with the joy of Your presence. Amen.Be Fed: Psalm 23:1; Psalm 37:3; Matthew 10:9-10✨ Subscribe & Review Join me for a sacred pause with B Moments. And Still, He Calls You Forward...
There are moments when life feels like a threshold—when something new is stirring, and you sense God inviting you forward. It’s thrilling, yes. But also daunting. What if you step out and stumble? What if the path doesn’t unfold the way you hoped?God knows your heart. He sees your excitement, your hesitation, and the unfinished work. And still, He calls you forward. In His light, you see light—not just direction, but life itself (Psalm 36:9). Even when fear whispers, “Stay back,” faith says, “Step forward.” You are not alone. His eye is upon you. His instruction is sure. And every moment of your life is already known and held (Psalm 139:16).So take the next step. Not because you’re certain, but because He is.As you reflect on that, remember these words: “…Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal…in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14 This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.Share today’s message, and follow us @bluestoblessings on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. So today, step into it.Be Reflective: Where do you sense God inviting you to step forward, even if the path feels uncertain or unfinished? What fear, hesitation, or “what if” is holding you back, and what might God be saying to that fear? How have you seen God meet you in past moments when you stepped forward without full clarity?Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, when I stand at the edge of something new, steady my heart. Quiet the fears that tell me to stay where it feels safe, and help me to trust the steps You’re calling me to take. Give me the courage to move forward, not because I know the way, but because I know You are walking with me. Father, lead me in Your light and let every step draw me closer to Your purpose for my life. The Living Water of Resurrection Sunday
Today is Easter Sunday, and I am rejoicing over God’s living water, that water we can drink from and never thirst again. We know from the Scriptures that at the time of Jesus’ death, the veil in the temple was ripped from top to bottom. This ripping represented the free, unlimited access people would now have to God through Christ’s sacrifice. Those people included the Samaritan woman who talked with Jesus at the well.As the story goes, the Samaritan woman came down to the well with her bucket to fetch water, and Jesus told her that if she turned to Him, there was a water that he had, called living water, which would allow her to never thirst again. Here’s one of the most poignant points in the passage for me. This woman had been married five times and was currently living with a man who was not her husband, yet nothing she had done placed her outside the reach of God’s grace and partaking in His living water. When she learned that Christ was the Messiah, she forgot all about the water that she had fetched from the well because all she could focus on was this new living water. Once she learned of her free, unlimited access to the living water, she converted an entire town.Who do you know who needs to hear that by turning to Christ, they too will have free and unlimited access to this living water? Let us spend the day rejoicing as we remember these words -- “Whoever believes in me… ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” John 7:38 (ESV)This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.Share today’s message, and follow us @bluestoblessings on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. So today, He is Risen. Be Reflective: How does being reminded that the veil in the temple was torn and you now have full access to God to reshape the way you approach Him? Who in your life might need to be reminded that their past does not disqualify them from His living water?Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son and the living water that never runs dry. Today, I come to You with an open heart, grateful for the access Your sacrifice has given me. Help me to drink deeply of Your grace and to share Your love freely. When God's Peace Catches Up to You
Lent has a way of slowing you down just enough for God’s peace to catch up with you. Not the peace that comes from everything finally making sense — but the peace that comes from knowing you’re not walking this season alone.Even when you can’t quite name what’s stirring in your heart, He knows. Even when your prayers feel scattered or unfinished, He meets you right in the middle of them. Lent reminds you that God doesn’t wait for you to be settled before He draws near. He comes close because you’re unsettled. This is the peace that doesn’t push or pressure. It simply rests on you. Covers you. Holds you steady while God does the quiet work only He can do.So breathe. Let this season soften you. Let His presence find you again. As you reflect on that, remember these words -- “…my peace I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27 (ESV)This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.Share today’s message, and follow us @bluestoblessings on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. So today, be covered in His peace.Be Reflective: Where in your life do you sense God inviting you to slow down so His peace can reach you? What unfinished prayers or unspoken worries might you need to place back in His hands this Lent?Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, during this Lent season, quiet my spirit so I can recognize Your nearness. Meet me in the places where I feel restless or uncertain and cover me with the peace only You can give. Help me release what I’ve been holding and trust the gentle work You’re doing within me. When God's "Yes" Looks Nothing Like Yours
Sometimes you pray with a very clear picture of what the answer should look like. In your mind, it’s simple — either God does it, or He doesn’t. No gray area. No mystery. Just a yes or a no.But God rarely works inside the narrow frame we create.Mary felt that way when she sent for Jesus to heal her brother. She could only imagine one outcome: Lazarus healed before death. She had no idea Jesus was preparing something far greater — not just healing, but resurrection. Not just relief, but revelation. In one moment, she moved from knowing Him as Healer to seeing Him as the Resurrection and the Life.Your prayers may feel one-dimensional, but God’s answers never are. He is working in layers you can’t see yet, preparing something that reaches deeper and blesses more than you asked for.As you reflect on that, remember these words -- “What no eye has seen…nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (ESV)This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.Share today’s message, and follow us @bluestoblessings on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. So today, expect the unexpected!Be Reflective: How has God surprised you in the past with an answer that looked different – yet turned out to be deeper or better than what you prayed for? Where might you be holding tightly to a specific outcome instead of watching for the unexpected ways God may already be moving?Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, help me release my narrow expectations and trust the fullness of Your wisdom. Open my eyes to the quiet, surprising ways You are answering my prayers even now. Give me faith to believe that Your plans stretch far beyond what I can imagine, and courage to rest in Your timing and Your goodness. When God Has You in a Holding Pattern
Have you ever been in flight, anxious to land, only to hear the pilot say, “We’ve been placed in a holding pattern”? Your heart sinks a little. You were ready. You had plans. You thought you were moments away… and suddenly, you’re circling instead of landing.Life with God can feel the same way. You’ve prayed, prepared, and positioned yourself, yet nothing is moving. Not because you’ve done something wrong, but because the timing isn’t aligned with His purpose just yet. A holding pattern isn’t punishment — it’s alignment. It’s God waiting for the conditions to match the calling. And while you’re circling, He’s strengthening your trust, and settling your spirit. What feels like stillness is often strategic positioning. When the moment is right, God will clear your path. And you’ll land exactly where He intends. As you reflect on that, remember these words -- “…but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength…they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.Share today’s message, and follow us @bluestoblessings on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. So today, trust His timing!Be Reflective: Where in your life do you feel like you’re circling, ready to land, but God is still saying, “Not yet?” How might this holding pattern be an invitation to trust His timing more deeply?Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, help me trust You when I feel stuck in the air. Strengthen my heart to wait with faith, not frustration. Align my steps with Your timing, and prepare me for the moment You release me to land exactly where You intend.” Amen.Be Fed: Psalm 27:13-14; Lamentations 3:25-26; 2 Corinthians 4:16✨ Subscribe & Review Join me for a sacred pause with B Moments. When You're Not Sure What to Believe
There are moments when you feel so certain about how something will unfold. Everything seems aligned, the timing feels perfect, and you start making plans because you’re sure you’ve read the situation correctly. But then… it unravels. What you expected doesn’t happen, and suddenly your confidence wobbles. You start wondering what else you might be wrong about, and your thoughts begin to spiral. If that’s where you find yourself today, take a breath. And even if you’re not in that place at all, Lent still offers a sacred invitation: to lift your eyes from whatever distracts, disappoints, or confuses you, and turn them toward Christ. No matter the season you’re in, all roads lead back to Him — the One who guides, steadies, and lovingly reorients your gaze.As you reflect on that, remember these words -- “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made the heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2 (ESV)This has been your B Moment. What distractions, disappointments, or assumptions might God be inviting you to release as you enter this Lent season?Be Prayerful: Merciful Father, I come to You with an open heart. When my confidence wavers or my plans unravel, steady my gaze and draw me closer to You. A Drop Here...A Drop There
Sometimes God prepares us in ways we don’t recognize until much later. Think of a gardener who tucks away seeds long before the season changes. At the time, those seeds looked small… even unnecessary. But when the soil warms and the need arises, what was once overlooked becomes exactly what allows new life to grow.God works the same way with us. He places a drop here… a drop there — a conversation, a resource, a connection, — and we often have no idea why it showed up. Some drops feel random. Others feel purposeful, only for us to discover we misunderstood their timing. But none of it is wasted. God is always orchestrating, always preparing, always giving you what you’ll need when the moment is just right. So when something unexpected lands in your hands, hold it with trust. Its purpose may bloom later. As you reflect on that, remember these words -- “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:7 (ESV)This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.Share today’s message, and follow us @bluestoblessings on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. So today, trust Him.Be Reflective: What “drops” – conversations, resources, connections – has God placed in your path that you may have overlooked or dismissed too quickly? How would your posture shift if you trusted that nothing God gives you is random, even when the timing feels unclear?Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, help me trust the seeds You’ve planted in my life, even when I can’t yet see their purpose. Strengthen my faith to believe that every drop You place along my path is part of Your divine plan for my life. When God Turns the Game Around
Some days it feels like you’re too far behind to ever catch up. The path twists, the timing feels off, and you wonder if you somehow missed your moment. But God has a way of stepping into what looks impossible and turning the whole game around.Think of my team, the Chicago Bears -- down 3–16 in the fourth quarter — the kind of deficit that makes fans head for the exits. And yet, with one unexpected play, momentum shifts. Hope rises. What looked finished suddenly becomes winnable. That’s what God does in your life. He calls plays you couldn’t see coming. He opens doors you didn’t know were there. And what felt delayed begins to unfold right on time.Your story isn’t over. God is still moving behind the scenes for your good.As you reflect on that, remember these words -- “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 (ESV)This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.Share today’s message, and follow us @bluestoblessings on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. So today, stay in the game!Be Reflective: Where in your life do you feel “behind,” and how might Go be inviting you to trust His timing instead of the scoreboard you see? What would it look like for you to stay faithful in this fourth-quarter moment, believing God can shift momentum at any time?Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, I release my timelines, my fears, and the places where I feel behind. Strengthen my faith to trust Your timing and Your direction. Help me to keep doing good, and when those weary feelings hit me, whisper to my heart, reminding me that You can turn things around in ways I could never imagine. Amen.
