  30. -27

    Who Will You Honor?

What we fear controls us, and for most of us, the fear of man is an ever present battle. The problem with that is that when we fear man, we are actually worshipping people rather than God, and we're unable to leave either people or God the way we were made to. What is the way forward? That is the question this sermon seeks to address.

  31. -28

    Who are you insisting on?

The Lord has a design for marriage, and if we're honest, it can be terrifying! How can we do these things well? By insisting on the Lord first, our spouse second, and ourselves last.1 Peter 3:1-7

  32. -29

Trusting a Just God in an Unjust World

How do we live as good citizens in an unjust world? The same way Jesus did it - by entrusting Himself to the One who judges justly. Even when it hurt the most.

  33. -30

    An Upside Down People

What does it mean to be God's chosen people? How do we know He is with us? How do we, as His people, grow up in our faith? 1 Peter 2:1-12 helps answer these questions.

  34. -31

1 Peter 1:22-25 - Loving When It Hurts

  37. -34

    1 Peter 1:1-2 - The Pilgrim's Promise

What do we need to know about life on this side of Heaven? First of all, this is not our home. We are pilgrims bound for the promised land. This is the first sermon in our series on 1 Peter.

  38. -35

It's Time to Start Living (Easter)

Jesus' Resurrection was not His alone - believers share in it. We have both resurrection life now, and we will one day enter into glory with Him. What does that mean for us today? It means that the darkness has been pushed back, and we live in marvelous light. It is time to step out of the shadows, and to finally start living.

  39. -36

When the Permanent is Undone (Good Friday)

On Good Friday the end of hope for those who loved Jesus was etched in stone. Their Christ was dead. The tomb was sealed. All that was left was to mourn. But we know that is not how the story ends. For the Scripture tells us that God the Father loosed the Son's pangs of death, as He was not able to be held by them. Though on Good Friday we mourn, we also look ahead to Easter Sunday, when the death that seemed so permanent was undone, and the disciples (and our) mourning came to its end.

  43. -40

    Help! There's too much drama!

Do you ever feel like your relationships are filled with drama? You're not alone! What does the Bible say about relational conflict? As it turns out, a lot.

  44. -41

Help! How can I love people when I am so weak?

Have you ever felt too weak yourself to really love other people? Good news! God's love for us shined the brightest in His weakest moment. Yours can too.

  45. -42

What does it mean to share my life with others?

This is the fourth installment of the sermon series, "Help! The pastor said the word "community" again!" What does it meant to be in community? How do I meaningfully share my life with others? If you've ever had this question, we hope you find this sermon to be a help. It is a little bit different as this was preached on a "House Church Sunday", and it was a recap of the previous three sermons, not simply a new one. It is, however, another look at the previous three objections, and God's design for people to be a "life-on-life" people.

  46. -43

Help! I have skeletons in my closet!

Have you ever wanted to share something about yourself with a friend, but were too afraid to do it? Have you ever wondered what someone would think if they really knew you - the real you - and not just the person you show to the world? This sermon is for you. This is the first sermon in our sermon series, "Help! My pastor said the word "community" again! As in all of our sermons, there is interaction between the preacher and the congregation, and sometimes it is hard to hear the congregation's questions or answers. Those moments are few, however, and we hope that God uses this sermon to bless you richly.
