This is another exercise is the fact that the SCOTUS is hearing and decision on cases that are outside of their jurisdiction. Their jurisdiction extends only to the US Constitution, Laws of the land and Treaties. The ACA is not a law under the Constitution. Now if this was a male teacher, could he cut a similar deal? In New Jersey, 3rd grade teacher, Marilyn Zuniga, is suspended after she had her students write "get well" letters to convicted Philadelphia police killer Mumia Abu-Jamal. Tonight we talked about a new interesting twist regarding teens thugging around and killing folks and how the system on the streets may be the factor in why this is happening. Sure, the parents are part of the problem because who the hell is raising them, but they have to try and fit in where they will encounter the least resistance on the streets. Tonight we discussed Facebook's new rules in affect that will ban or terminate any page or user for hate speech against protected groups or support of any criminal syndicates or organizations. Well, this obviously means that derogatory statements about the criminal syndicate in Washington, DC may now get you banned. Crazy stuff and we wonder how many will jump the Facebook ship over this extreme fine line between free speech and infringement on the First Amendment.Also, the Texas Senate passed a bill 20-11 that will allow Conceal Carry Permit holders (approximately 850,000 state-wide) to open carry their handguns. There is opposition from different groups but most seem to be a stretch and this bill will probably quickly pass the Texas House and be on it's way to a signature by the Governor.

Why, well because she tweeted this statement on Twitter herself:And so her would be boss announced that she would not be starting as she was fired. This is a great example of why you should be careful what you say on social media, but this seems like a good timely decision on her part to make it known that she has no real interest in being a contributing member of society or at work. Basically someone phones you and says that they are a representative of the IRS and they berate you and threaten arrest and prison time if you do not pay the "money you owe". Keep in mind that the IRS will NEVER call you or send you an email to contact you for any reason; it will always be in the form of snail mail. Also, the federal government reports that 3-6 million people will owe the IRS the tax penalty of $95 or 1% of your household income for NOT having healthcare...see how affordable this is? As of show time, two suspects were in custody and one suspect was dead according to NBCNews.We also discussed John Boehner winning the bid to remain as Speaker of the House and newly elected conservative Mia Love (R-UT) explaining why she voted for him, a first day controversial decision.Schools are closed or delayed around the nation due to the extreme cold weather. First we talked about the police shooting in North Carolina this past weekend by an officer who shot and killed a defenseless 90 pound schizophrenic teenager for apparently no reason. Police Brutality at its best, right?Later on the show we reviewed the day one sales of marijuana in the State of Colorado. Basically in one day there was more than $1 Million in retail sales netting $290,000 in tax revenue for the state. Economically speaking, Colorado may have stumbled on to something here.
