Can Christians Become Sinless?
Send us Fan MailCan Christians actually become sinless? In this episode of Beyond Sunday, Pastor Nic tackles one of the most debated theological questions in the church today: What does the Bible really teach about sinless perfection? While Christians are absolutely called to holiness and spiritual growth, does Scripture teach that believers can completely stop sinning in this life? Or is sanctification a lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus?Through passages like Romans 7, 1 John 1, and 2 Corinthians 5, this episode explores the tension every believer feels between loving God and still battling the flesh. Pastor Nic breaks down the difference between justification, sanctification, and glorification while offering biblical clarity, practical encouragement, and hope for Christians who feel discouraged in their struggle against sin.If you’ve ever wrestled with guilt, frustration, spiritual growth, or questions about holiness and grace, this episode will encourage you to keep pursuing Jesus without pretending to be perfect.Perfection is not the evidence of salvation—persistent pursuit of Jesus is. Why You Can’t Fight Alone: Community as a Weapon in Spiritual Warfare
Send us Fan MailSpiritual warfare was never meant to be fought alone. In this episode, Pastor Nic explains why Christian community is essential in spiritual warfare and how isolation makes believers vulnerable to discouragement, temptation, and spiritual drift. Drawing from 1 Peter 5:8 and Ecclesiastes 4:12, this conversation highlights the power of biblical community, small groups, and shared faith in standing firm against the enemy. A timely reminder that victory in spiritual warfare is personal—but it’s never private.www.nic-williams.com Support the show

Don’t Be Devoured: Why Spiritual Warfare Matters More Than You Think
Send us Fan MailStarting 2026 Awake, Anchored, and AwareAfter a season of silence, the podcast is back, and this episode sets the tone for what’s ahead. In this relaunch episode, Pastor Nic shares why stepping away wasn’t about burnout or lack of vision, but obedience. Over the past several months, God led him to slow down, wrestle deeply with Scripture, and write a book on spiritual warfare not from a place of fear or sensationalism, but from biblical clarity and pastoral concern.Spiritual warfare is real, but it’s often misunderstood. Some see it everywhere. Others dismiss it entirely. Scripture calls us to neither extreme but to be alert and sober-minded.In this episode, you’ll hear:Why spiritual warfare is less about panic and more about perceptionHow the enemy’s goal is often erosion, not explosionWhy many of the fiercest battles are internal before they’re externalHow isolation quietly makes believers vulnerableAnd why we don’t fight for victory, we fight from itThis conversation isn’t about obsessing over the enemy. It’s about being anchored in Christ. As we step into 2026, this episode is an invitation to live spiritually awake, grounded in truth, strengthened by community, and confident in Christ’s finished work.📘 Don’t Be Devoured is now available, along with a small group video series and curriculum launching February 1.👉 Learn more and purchase the book here: https://www.nic-williams.com Support the show

He Will Finish What He Started
Send us Fan MailFeeling like your spiritual growth has stalled? You're not alone. Many of us look at our lives and wonder, "Why am I still dealing with this? Why am I not further along?" That frustration of being an unfinished work can be overwhelming.Philippians 1:6 offers a powerful promise: "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." This isn't a maybe or a hope—it's a confidence that God finishes what He starts. Unlike our abandoned DIY projects that sit collecting dust after we hit a roadblock, God never sets His work in you aside. He never walks away mid-process. When He starts a transformation, He's committed to seeing it through to completion. What's particularly freeing about this promise is that it's not up to you to complete the work—it's up to the One who began it. Think of an artist painting a masterpiece. Halfway through, it might look messy—smudges of color and shapes that don't quite connect yet. But the artist knows exactly what it's becoming. That's how God works in you. The areas where you feel most unfinished may be precisely where He's doing His most beautiful work. Your character, heart, and faith are being refined, even when progress feels slow.Take a moment today to write down one area of your life where you feel unfinished or discouraged. Next to it, write this simple truth: "God is still working here." Then take a deep breath and release the pressure to have it all together. You're a masterpiece in progress, and the divine Artist hasn't put down His brush. Subscribe to continue this journey of anchoring in God's promises, and share this encouragement with someone who might need it today. Support the show

God Works All Things for Good
Send us Fan MailThe promise that God works all things together for good is beautiful on paper, but how do we hold onto it when life falls apart? Today's meditation dives deep into Romans 8:28, one of scripture's most beloved yet challenging promises. We often define "good" as comfortable, convenient, or pleasant. But God's definition runs much deeper—anything that draws us closer to Him and shapes us into who we were created to be. This shift in perspective changes everything. Just as Joseph could eventually look at his brothers who sold him into slavery and say "what you intended for evil, God used for good," we too can develop this divine viewpoint on our difficulties. The promise doesn't just apply to some things—it covers all things. Your unexpected diagnosis. The relationship that didn't work out. The lingering grief. The unanswered prayer. God's sovereignty extends beyond Sunday services into hospital rooms, traffic jams, and tear-stained pillows. Nothing is wasted in His economy, not even the pain.Think of your life as a tapestry. Right now, you might only see the tangled threads and knots on the backside, but God sees the masterpiece taking shape on the front. He's weaving every thread—the bright and the dark—into something meaningful, purposeful, and ultimately good. Not because the struggles themselves are good, but because He is good, and His purposes prevail even in our most broken places. What situation in your life seems impossible to redeem? What disappointment feels wasted? Today, write it down and beneath it affirm: "God is working in this too." You might not see it yet, but the Master Weaver is faithful. Subscribe to continue this journey through God's promises, and share today's verse with someone who needs to remember they're not alone in their struggle. Support the show

Do Not Fear, For I Am With You
Send us Fan MailFear has a way of gripping our hearts when we least expect it. Whether it's uncertainty about the future, worry about loved ones, or anxiety over circumstances beyond our control, these emotions are real and valid parts of our human experience. But what if there was a divine promise specifically designed to anchor us when fear threatens to pull us under?Today we dive deep into Isaiah 41:10, unpacking the powerful assurance that transforms how we face our fears: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." This isn't just ancient poetry—it's a living promise that speaks directly to your situation right now.The heart of this promise isn't asking you to suppress your emotions or manufacture courage. Instead, it offers something far more profound: God's unfailing presence when you feel most alone. Like a father who doesn't just shout encouragement from the porch but runs to steady the handlebars when his child is learning to ride a bike, God doesn't stay distant in your struggles. He comes close. We explore how the same God who parted seas, formed mountains, and conquered the grave is personally invested in holding you steady today.Remember, just as the young girl remained calm during severe airplane turbulence because "my dad is the pilot," you can face life's storms with unexpected peace when you truly grasp whose hands are guiding your journey. Your fear is real, but God's presence is more real. Join us as we learn to interrupt fear with truth and rest in the capable hands of the One who promises: "I will uphold you."Take a moment today to write down what's causing you fear, then add these powerful words beside it: "but God is with me." Let that truth redirect your thoughts and settle your soul. If this episode encouraged you, please share it with someone who needs to remember they're not facing their fears alone. Support the show

He Who Promised Is Faithful
Send us Fan MailEver feel like your day starts in chaos before your feet even hit the floor? Imagine instead beginning each morning anchored in truth that steadies your soul.Welcome to the very first episode of our Daily Devotional Podcast, created as a sacred space to ground yourself in God's promises before the demands of the day take over. Whether you're commuting, sipping your morning coffee, or intentionally setting aside quiet time, this devotional creates space to center your heart on what matters most.We begin our journey exploring God's promises with Hebrews 10:23: "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." This powerful verse reminds us that true hope isn't tethered to our fluctuating emotions or circumstances but anchored firmly in God's unchanging character. When bills pile up, work feels overwhelming, or your heart just feels heavy, remember your hope stands on solid ground—the perfect faithfulness of God throughout history. The word "unswervingly" paints a vivid picture of gripping the road without veering off course, holding tight not because we're strong, but because the Promise-maker is trustworthy. Today's simple challenge invites you to speak aloud: "God is faithful. I will hold on to hope."Join us tomorrow and each day this month as we continue exploring God's promises. If today's devotional encouraged you, subscribe so we can start our days together in God's word, and consider sharing with someone who might need this same reminder of hope. Support the show

Moses: Leading After Long Delays
Send us Fan MailHave you ever felt like you missed your chance? Like the window of opportunity has closed because of past mistakes, delays, or detours? Moses' story might be exactly what your heart needs to hear. Most of us know about Moses leading Israel through the wilderness for 40 years, but we often overlook another crucial season in his journey—the 40 years he spent as a shepherd in Midian. From privileged prince to fugitive to shepherd to deliverer, Moses' path was anything but direct. Yet those seemingly wasted years became the very training ground that prepared him to lead a nation. This episode unpacks how God uses wilderness seasons to shape our identity and calling. We explore why passion without preparation leads to disaster, and how the mundane role of shepherding taught Moses the exact leadership skills he would need later. You'll discover why God often reveals Himself not through dramatic circumstances but through faithful obedience in ordinary moments. The burning bush appeared not in a temple but in Moses' everyday workplace—a powerful reminder that divine encounters can happen anywhere when we're paying attention.Perhaps most encouraging is how Moses responded to God's call with hesitation and self-doubt. "Who am I?" "What if they don't believe me?" "I am slow of speech." His objections reveal a man humbled by time and aware of his limitations. Yet God didn't need Moses' confidence—only his obedience. The promise wasn't "you've got this" but simply "I will be with you."Whether you're leading a ministry, raising a family, or navigating career transitions, this message offers hope: delays aren't dead ends; they're divine development. God isn't just preparing something for you—He's preparing something in you. Your current season of waiting might be the very soil where your most effective leadership will grow. Support the show

The Hidden Classroom: Lessons Only the Wilderness Can Teach
Send us Fan MailEver feel like you're wandering through a spiritual desert with no oasis in sight? Like you're working hard but seeing no fruit, waiting endlessly for clarity, or stuck in a place that feels too small for your dreams? You're not alone—and your wilderness isn't a mistake. The wilderness seasons of our lives aren't where God forgets us; they're where He forms us. Drawing from Deuteronomy 8:2, Pastor Nick unpacks the profound truth that God intentionally leads us into challenging seasons to humble us, test us, and reveal what's truly in our hearts. These barren times strip away the distractions and expose our default responses—whether panic, defensiveness, or doubt—not to shame us, but to heal us.Like Joseph's years in slavery and prison, the wilderness refines our character in ways that comfort never could. Romans reminds us that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope. When we feel hidden or overlooked, God is often preparing us for future influence. As with John the Baptist, obscurity can be the birthplace of calling—the training ground where God equips us to carry what He wants to entrust to us.Whether your wilderness comes from others' mistreatment like Hagar's, from calling like John's, or from your own choices like Israel's at Kadesh, God remains faithful. He sees you, He hears you, and He meets you there. So stay rooted in truth when the enemy whispers lies, remain consistent in spiritual disciplines, look for God's lessons rather than just seeking escape, and celebrate the small wins along the way. The God who led you into this season will lead you through it and into His purpose for your life. What wilderness are you facing today, and what might God be revealing and refining in you through it? When the Struggle Feels Stronger Than Your Faith: Finding Hope in the Battle Within
Send us Fan MailHave you ever felt like two completely different people battling inside you? One version genuinely wants to love God and make choices that honor Him, while another seems determined to sabotage it all? That gnawing disconnect between our spiritual intentions and our actual behavior isn't just frustrating—it can make us question our entire relationship with God.Drawing from Romans 7, this raw, honest exploration dives deep into Paul's startling confession: "I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing." These aren't the words of a spiritual novice but one of Christianity's most influential apostles. What Paul reveals transforms how we understand our ongoing battles with sin and shame. The surprising truth? Your struggle isn't evidence that you're failing God—it's proof you're alive in Him. Dead hearts don't wrestle with sin. This episode unpacks the critical difference between our position (justified before God) and our condition (still battling sin in our mortal bodies), offering both theological clarity and practical steps forward. You'll discover how to acknowledge the war without being defined by it, why running toward Jesus (not away) after failure changes everything, and how daily surrender, community, and remembering your identity create a pathway through the struggle. When you feel the gap between who you are and who you want to be, let that push you toward grace, not away from it. Your weakness isn't the end of your story—it's where Jesus shows His strength. Whether you're drowning in shame or just tired of fighting the same battles, this message offers hope: the One who began this good work in you will be faithful to complete it. Support the show
