    A Mission Without Boundaries

Session: 6 Date of First Use: May 24, 2026 Title: A Mission Without Boundaries The Point: Sharing the message of Christ is a privilege that could take you anywhere. Life Connection: America has become an amazingly diverse country of ethnicities and backgrounds. We can be thankful for the many opportunities to do “international missions” in our own backyard. The nations have come to us, but that does not negate the call for us to go to the nations. The world needs to know about Jesus, and we have a role to play in that. Session Passage: Acts 13:1-3,44-52

  2. 327

A Mission Outside Your Comfort Zone

Session: 5 Date of First Use: May 17, 2026 Title: A Mission Outside Your Comfort Zone The Point: The gospel crosses cultures—and so should we. Life Connection: It’s tempting to stay within the circle of those we already know. It’s easier to talk with people just like us, but those are not the only people we encounter on a daily basis. America is becoming ever more diverse, and we see that in our local communities. These are people made in the image of God, ones for whom Christ died, and we should embrace the privilege and opportunity to introduce them to Jesus. Session Passage: Acts 8:26-38

  3. 326

    A Mission Soaked in Prayer

Session: 4 Date of First Use: May 10, 2026 Title: A Mission Soaked in Prayer The Point: God empowers and emboldens us to share the gospel. Life Connection: As we learn a new skill, we get progressively more confident the more we practice and hone that skill. We become less dependent on a teacher or mentor. That’s a good thing in every area but one. We should never lose our dependence on God. No matter how skilled or confident we become in ministry and sharing the gospel, it is critical that we maintain a dependence on Him through prayer.  Session Passage: Acts 4:23-31

  4. 325

    A Mission Met with Courage

Session: 3 Date of First Use: May 3, 2026 Title: A Mission Met with Courage The Point: God gives us courage to speak boldly about Christ. Life Connection: We are familiar with the cynical expression: “No good deed goes unpunished.” That is not a biblical statement, but good deeds do occasionally get us into hot water. In Acts 4, Peter and John did a good deed that drew attention to Jesus Christ, and that got them in hot water with the religious leaders who opposed them. God gives us courage to stand strong in the face of adversity.  Session Passage: Acts 4:1-3,8-12,19-20

  5. 324

    A Mission with a Message

Session: 2 Date of First Use: April 26, 2026 Title: A Mission with a Message The Point: We can have a relationship with God through Christ alone. Life Connection: Our world abounds with religions and spokespersons telling us their version of how to know God, but there is only one way to know Him. The world may fuss about the exclusive nature of such a claim, but it is no less true. The death and resurrection of Christ opened the way for us to come to God. Because there is only one way to God, it is imperative that we share this message. Session Passage: Acts 3:12-20,24-26

  6. 323

    A Mission Full of Opportunities

Session: 1 Date of First Use: April 19, 2026 Title: A Mission Full of Opportunities The Point: We intersect daily with people who need Christ. Life Connection: Whenever we drive any distance at all, we pass intersection after intersection. Many times, we just pass through those intersections without noticing what’s around. These intersections are like our lives. Every day we intersect with people, but we should take the time to notice them without simply passing by. God put us on this pathway to impact and influence lives along our journey. Intersections become opportunities. Session Passage: Acts 3:1-10

  7. 322

    God Is Eternal

Session 7 Date of First Use: April 12, 2026 Title: God Is Eternal The Point: Those who trust the eternal God will live with Him forever. Life Connection: Few things last. Even the best-made products eventually wear out and the healthiest among us still age and die. With the temporary and transitory nature of life, the world still places most, if not all, the attention on this life. But there is an eternal aspect to life, and we would be wise to make it our focus. God is eternal, and when we trust Him, we are given a life that outlasts this life we know on earth. Session Passage: Psalm 102:18-28

  8. 321

    God Is Life-Giving

Session: 6Easter – Evangelism Session Date of First Use: April 5, 2026 Title: God Is Life-Giving The Point: The resurrection of Christ changes everything. Life Connection: Based on the increased church attendance on Easter, it’s not surprising that two-thirds of Americans believe Jesus rose from the dead.1 That might sound encouraging, but unfortunately, not all of them believe everything the Bible says about Christ’s resurrection. For many, it’s a nice thought they acknowledge once a year without considering the life-changing importance the resurrection has for their daily lives. The resurrection is infinitely important because it means that, just as Jesus lives, we too can live. That sure hope impacts how we approach each day.  Session Passage: Mark 16:1-6; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4,20-22

  9. 320

    God Is Faithful

Session: 5 Date of First Use: March 29, 2026 Title: God Is Faithful The Point: God is faithful to His people and His promises. Life Connection: No one gets married with the intention of getting a divorce, although the divorce rate hovers around fifty percent of all marriages. However, we have all been guilty of failing to keep a vow, pledge, or commitment. We live with people who say one thing but do another. We become cynical when someone makes a promise to us. To know what faithfulness looks like, we need only look to God. The Bible shows us that God never falters in what He says or promises.  Session Passage: Deuteronomy 7:6-16

  10. 319

    God Is Omnipotent

Session: 4 Date of First Use: March 22, 2026 Title: God Is Omnipotent The Point: There is nothing God cannot do. Life Connection: The very concept of God—a Supreme Being—implies that, because He is supreme, He can do as He pleases. Yet so many religions limit the ability and power of the god they believe in, or they water down its power by throwing it in with a host of other gods—which negates calling it a supreme being! The reality is that there is only one God who is supreme, omnipotent, and fully capable of doing anything He sovereignly chooses to do. Session Passages: Isaiah 44:6-9,21-28

  11. 318

    God Is Just

Session: 3 Date of First Use: March 15, 2026 Title: God Is Just The Point: Because God is righteous, He alone establishes justice. Life Connection: When we are wronged by others, our typical response is to call for justice. However, when we are the ones who have committed the wrong, we cry for mercy. We demand fairness, but we define fairness based on what we want. God is fair, in the sense that His justice holds everyone equally accountable for their actions. God is completely just, but He is merciful to those who turn to Him.  Session Passage: Psalm 7:1-13

  12. 317

    God Is Love

Session: 2 Date of First Use: March 8, 2026 Title: God Is Love The Point: We can only truly know love by knowing God. Life Connection: For many people, love means whatever they want it to mean. They can express a deep and profound love for someone or something, but later that love disappears. Too often our examples of love disappoint or fail us. We see in God a whole different example of love. He is the very embodiment of love because He is love. The Bible shows us that we can know and experience that love through Jesus Christ.  Session Passage: 1 John 4:7-19

  13. 316

    God Is Holy

Session: 1 Date of First Use: March 1, 2026 Title: God Is Holy The Point: God is set apart from everything else and deserves our worship. Life Connection: Every culture has some religious element, but each culture makes God in its own image. That god tends not to be too different from the people who worship it; there is nothing unique about their god. We desperately need a God who is beyond us and beyond our ability to fully explain or understand. That God has revealed Himself. He is holy—completely separate from His creation—yet He calls us to know Him and walk with Him.  Session Passage: Psalm 99:1-9

  14. 315

    Jesus Shared

Session: 5 Date of First Use: February 22, 2025 Title: Jesus Shared The Point: Our daily connections with people can be opportunities to share Christ. The Bible Meets Life:  America is a diverse country of cultures, ethnicities, worldviews, and preferences. It is our human nature to gravitate toward people who are most like us, but the beauty of the gospel is that it is not only for people “just like us.” The gospel speaks to any culture, any time, and any place. In Acts 17, Paul gave us an example of how to communicate the gospel in any situation. Session Passage: Acts 17:16-18,22-23,30-31

  15. 314

    Jesus Displayed

Session: 4 Date of First Use: February 15, 2025 Title: Jesus Displayed The Point: We can share Jesus with others as we step into their shoes. Life Connection: We tend to define people by the demographics of our church and the circle of Christians we regularly encounter. People who match those characteristics certainly need Jesus, but so do people outside our circles. To share Christ with these other people requires us to take the gospel into their culture rather than expecting them to come into ours. This calls for us to step outside our comfort zone, but leading people to know Jesus is worth it. Session Passage: 1 Corinthians 9:16-27

  16. 313

    Jesus Saves

Session: 3Evangelism Session Date of First Use: February 8, 2025 Title: Jesus Saves The Point: Jesus saves all who trust in Him. Life Connection: Religious groups want to come up with their own idea of salvation, and many in our society don’t think we need salvation at all. Yet even the most self-focused, self-satisfied individuals can have moments when they feel something’s missing or there’s something more to life. That “something more” is Jesus. We do need salvation, and when we look to the only One who can save us, we find what has been missing. Session Passage: Acts 2:22-24,32-41

  17. 312

    Jesus Matters

Session: 2 Date of First Use: February 1, 2025 Title: Jesus Matters The Point: Jesus is God, and no one has done what Jesus has done. Life Connection: Pontius Pilate once asked, “What is truth?” (John 18:38). People still ask that question today. Many people might acknowledge that truth resides in God, but different religions and philosophies have skewed what exactly that means. To understand truth fully and rightly one needs to look to God as He has revealed Himself in Jesus Christ. The truth found in Jesus matters because Jesus matters. Session Passage: Colossians 1:15-22

  18. 311

    Truth Matters

Session: 1 Date of First Use: January 25, 2025 Title: Truth Matters The Point: Truth does not reside in our own opinions and reasoning. Life Connection: In today’s culture, people want us to assume that truth is what the individual makes it to be. If that is true, then the concept of truth becomes non-existent because two opposing views can’t both be true. That viewpoint might lead some to conclude that truth doesn’t matter, yet because that notion is so illogical, we should be driven to the opposite conclusion: there must be a singular truth that applies to all people. Session Passage: Proverbs 16:20-25; 30:1-6

  19. 310

Special Focus Session: Compelled to Act

Date of First Use: January 18, 2026 The Point: Let the fear and majesty of God compel you to look out for others. Life Connection: Justice is the ideal in almost every culture. Unfortunately, the reality of injustice is just as universal. We all want justice when we’ve been wronged, but are we ready to step up when it’s someone else who needs help? People such as unborn children, the poor, orphans, and widows are often overlooked. Job was a man who sought to stand up and help others because he saw them as the handiwork of God.  Session Passage: Job 31:13-23

  20. 309

    When Your Confidence Falls Short

Date of First Use: January 11, 2026 Title: When Your Confidence Falls Short The Point: We can stand victoriously because of Christ. Life Connection: Living for Christ is not always easy. We get physically tired. Our confidence and resolve can weaken in a sinful world that continually calls to us. Sometimes it feels easier to give in than to stand strong. Thankfully, we are not meant to stand alone. Christ stands with us because He indwells His followers. There is nothing that comes against us that Christ has not already gained the victory over.  Session Passage: 1 John 3:21–4:6

  21. 308

    When Your Finances Fall Short

Date of First Use: January 4, 2026 Title: When Your Finances Fall Short The Point: Trust in God is far richer than financial prosperity. Life Connection: Six out of ten Americans believe money can buy happiness, or it would if they made $284,000 every year. [https://www.empower.com/the-currency/money/research-financial- happiness] Others joke, saying, “I know money doesn’t buy happiness, but I’d like to find out on my own.” We’d settle for creature comforts, satisfied with a flush bank account, when God wants so much more for us. There’s no true security or contentment in these things that do not last. God offers us something more secure and comforting—and it’s eternal. Session Passage: Luke 12:13-21; 21:1-4

  22. 307

    When Your Provisions Falls Short

Date of First Use: December 28, 2025 Title: When Your Provisions Fall Short  The Point: God provides what you need when you need it. Life Connection: We live in an instantaneous world. Microwaves quickly heat up ready-to-eat meals. TV offers us video on demand. Online shopping expedites the shopping experiences and offers us home delivery, often on the same day. Consequently, we can become frustrated or impatient when things aren’t available the second we want them. God does not work on our timetable, but He provides what we need when we need it.  Session Passage: 1 Kings 17:5-16

  23. 306

    When Your Understanding Falls Short

Session 3Date of First Use: December 21, 2025 Title: When Your Understanding Falls Short The Point: God can do great things through you. Life Connection: Believers know there is nothing we can do to save ourselves; it’s all the work of Jesus. Yet once we’re saved, we too often attempt to live the Christian life in our own strength and understanding. God wants to work through us, and He wants to do it in a way that goes beyond our own natural abilities. When He does, it points to the power and presence of God in our lives.  Session Passage: Luke 1:26-38

  24. 305

    When Your Circumstances Fall Short

Date of First Use: December 14, 2025 Title: When Your Circumstances Fall Short  The Point: God’s grace will sustain you through life’s circumstances. Life Connection: Christians learn quickly that following Jesus does not lead to or guarantee a life of ease. While we may wonder why God is not removing our difficulties or blessing us with pleasant circumstances, God does promise us one thing: His presence. “I will never leave you or abandon you” (Heb. 13:5). As our difficulties lead us to look to Him, we discover that His gracious presence in our lives is more than enough. Session Passage: 2 Corinthians 1:8-10; 12:6-10

  25. 304

    When Your Faith Falls Short

Session 1Date of First Use: December 7, 2025 Title: When Your Faith Falls Short The Point: A faith that looks to Jesus is a powerful faith. Life Connection: A common misconception among both believers and non-believers is that, if one has enough faith, anything can be accomplished. This view wrongly places the emphasis on the one believing. This view concludes that if a person doesn’t see what he wanted accomplished, it was because he didn’t have enough faith. Such false belief misses the point of faith. The power of faith comes from the One in whom we are placing our faith. When we place our faith in Christ, He is more than enough to even move mountains. Session Passage: Matthew 17:14-20

  26. 303

    From Problems to Praise

Special Focus Session Date of First Use: November 30, 2025  The Point: Thank God and praise Him for how He answers prayer. Life Connection: It’s easy to thank God when all is well, but when life takes a hard turn, we too often see the problem and not the solution. Problems should drive us to pray, and as we pray and trust God, we see His gracious and loving hand at work. In turn, we can express thanks for His presence and involvement in our lives. Session Passage: Isaiah 38:9-20

  27. 302

When Doing God’s Work is Interrupted

Session: 6Date of First Use: November 23, 2025Title: When Doing God’s Work is InterruptedThe Point: God may interrupt us to move our ministry in a new direction.Life Connection: One of the greatest joys in life is serving God and doing what He has called you to do. But what happens when that same service is cut short or comes to an end? When God ends a season of ministry, it does not necessarily mean you were ineffective. God often interrupts your service to redirect or bring you into a new area of service.Session Passage: Acts 16:4-15

  28. 301

When a Time of Inactivity Slows You Down

Session: 5Date of First Use: November 16, 2025Title: When a Time of Inactivity Slows You DownThe Point: Use unexpected downtime to prepare for what’s next.Life Connection: We lead busy lives, but sometimes an unplanned event puts a stop to our plans. It might be a delayed flight, staying at home with a sick child, or something else that causes us to sit and wait. We can get frustrated, or we can make use of the delay to prepare for what God may have waiting for  us. We can make “the most of the time” (Eph. 5:16) to focus on our walk with God.Session Passage: Acts 1:4-8,12-14; 2:1-4Host: Ryan J. Sanders; Team Lead, Bible Studies for LifeCo-Host: Chris Johnson; Content Editor, Bible Studies for Life: SeniorsGuest: P. J. Dunn is the Discipleship Consultant for Georgia Baptist Mission Board and Adjunct Professor at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

  29. 300

When WellMeaning People Interrupt Your Plans

Session: 4Date of First Use: November 9, 2025Title: When Well-Meaning People Interrupt Your PlansThe Point: God-ordained interruptions call for a sensitive heart.Life Connection: Our lives are interrupted every day: a phone call, catching a red light, a neighbor asking to borrow a tool, or someone stopping us in the hallway at church. Sometimes those moments are just brief blips in our day, but at other times God may want to use that interruption in a meaningful way. We must learn to be sensitive to what God may want to do.Session Passage: Luke 8:40-50,54-56Host: Ryan J. Sanders; Team Leader, Bible Studies for LifeCo-Host: Chris Johnson; Content Editor, Bible Studies for Life: SeniorsGuest: Lloyd Stilley, Mission Strategist for the Bledsoe Baptist Association in Gallatin, Tennessee. Lloyd served as writer of the Personal Study Guide for BSFL Adult and Seniors for this study.

  30. 299

When Your Actions Cause an Interruption

Session: 3Date of First Use: November 2, 2025Title: When Your Actions Cause an InterruptionThe Point: God can redeem our mistakes.Life Connection: We are sinners, but God redeems us in Christ. Even when we fail, God does not leave us  in our failure. The wonder and beauty of God is seen in how He redeems us, even using our past  experiences to further accomplish His purposes through us. We may falter, but in His faithful love,  God does not abandon us.Session Passage: Exodus 2:11-22; 3:5-10

  31. 298

    When Life Goes Terribly Wrong

Session: 2 of How to Handle Life’s InterruptionsDate of First Use: October 26, 2025Title: When Life Goes Terribly WrongThe Point: Even hard interruptions place us where God can use us.Life Connection: We often find ourselves in places and situations we’d rather not be. We often sulk or feel sorry for ourselves, but that doesn’t change our situation or do us any good. However, if we look at every situation as an opportunity to represent God, even the harshest circumstances can take on new meaning. We can move from despondency to dependency on God.Session Passage: Genesis 39:21-23; 40:5-8; 41:10-14

  32. 297

    When God Interrupts Your Life

Unit: How to Handle Life’s InterruptionsSession: 1Date of First Use: October 19, 2025 Title: When God Interrupts Your LifeThe Point: The best interruptions come from God.Session Passage: Hebrews 11:8-19Life Connection: Many adults look back on their lives and realize they are not doing or living the way they thought they would in high school. Our interests change and new people come into our lives that often change the trajectory of our lives. Many of these changes are good and others feel like a serious setback. However, when God steps in and interrupts our lives, we can trust that where He is taking us is the best path to be on.

  33. 296

    The Greatest Return

Unit: The Greatest Truths of All Time Session: 6 Date of First Use: October 12, 2025 Title: The Greatest Return  The Point: Jesus will return one day, and we should be ready. Session Passage: 1 Thessalonians 4:16–5:8 Life Connection: For many of us, when we want to know something, we want to know it now! We want every blank filled in and every detail explained. When we don’t know all the facts, we attempt educated guesses for what we don’t know. History is full of times when medical treatments and military strategies were based on educated guesses. When it comes to the return of Christ, no educated guess will do. We can read the signs, but we have to trust God for the actual timing.
