Jesus Waters | Plant a Garden (April 26, 2026)
In this installment of "Plant a Garden," Pastor Jim Ellis explores the "if" statements of John 15:6–7 and what it truly means to be united with Christ. We look at how Jesus "waters" our lives through His Word and prayer, inviting us to be vulnerable in our requests not to change God’s mind, but to deepen our trust in Him as co-laborers in His kingdom. Jesus Is the Creator | Jim Ellis | 12-14-2025
This week, Pastor Jim Ellis continues our "Journey Through Scripture" series with a study of Colossians 1:15-20. In a world where many are pressured to turn away from the Gospel, Paul’s message remains clear: it is all about Jesus. He is not merely a man or a prophet; He is God the Creator. The Main Point: Jesus is the Creator of all things and the one who holds all things together. But what is He creating now? Jesus is building a Kingdom movement where hearts are changed from the inside out by agape love that lays its life down for others. Today, He invites us to be part of that story. #BCC #Gospel #JourneyThroughScripture #ReadBible #Unity #BibleStudy #ChristianLiving #JimEllis #BiblicalTruth #BCCBismarck #GodsStory #JesusIsCreator #Colossians #DiscipleshipSupport the showFind out more about us at BismarckCC.org.We would love for you to join us in person on Sunday mornings at 10am for worship service. This week, in our "Journey Through Scripture" series, Pastor Jim Ellis examined the command in 1 Corinthians 11:1: "Imitate me, as I imitate Christ." This was presented as a direct calling for every believer to become a living, imitatable example of the Jesus we follow. This week in our "Journey Through Scripture" sermon series, Pastor Jim Ellis delivered a message based on Luke 8. Pastor Jim pressed us to look inward, asking for our personal response to Christ. Forgive From the Heart | Jim Ellis | 10-26-2025
Pastor Jim Ellis kept our "Journey Through Scripture" series moving this week with a personal message on forgiveness. He looked at the parable of the servant who was forgiven an astronomical debt but then refused to show mercy for a tiny one. Jim reminded us that forgiveness is ultimately a decision that starts in the heart, even when our emotions feel complicated. It's also vital to remember that forgiving is not the same as automatically "forgetting" the pain. The core challenge Jim left us with is to find a personal process or tool that allows us to do the difficult but worthwhile work of truly letting go. Through Christ's example, we’re invited to step into this new, lighter way of living. #Bismarck #church #BismarckCommunityChurch #BCC #Gospel #JourneyThroughScripture #ReadBible #Unity #BibleStudy #ChristianLiving #JimEllis #BiblicalTruth #BCCBismarck #forgiveness #ForgiveFromTheHeart #TheDecisionToForgive #LiveForgiven #NewWayOfLiving #WorthTheWork #BiblicalForgiveness #ParableOfTheUnforgivingServant #GospelLifeSupport the showFind out more about us at BismarckCC.org.We would love for you to join us in person on Sunday mornings at 10am for worship service. The Author Has All Authority | Jim Ellis | 10-19-2025
In this message, Pastor Jim Ellis continued our "Journey Through Scripture" series by examining several key passages (including Mark 8:23-9:8) that confirm the complete authority of Jesus. Jim explored the connection between the words "Author" and "Authority," noting that as the Creator of all things, God possesses all authority, which He has entrusted to Jesus. This foundation set the stage for the week's central challenge: If Jesus holds absolute authority all things, what does that demand of our allegiance and our lives? #Bismarck #church #BismarckCommunityChurch #BCC #Gospel #JourneyThroughScripture #ReadBible #Unity #BibleStudy #ChristianLiving #Sermon #JimEllis #BCCJourney #SermonSeries #BiblicalTruth #BCCBismarck #AuthorityOfJesus #ChristTheAuthor #authority #AuthorHasAuthority #JesusIsLord #CreatorGodSupport the showFind out more about us at BismarckCC.org.We would love for you to join us in person on Sunday mornings at 10am for worship service. Help Me Believe More! | Jim Ellis | 10-12-2025
This week, Pastor Jim Ellis continues our "Journey Through Scripture" series by examining a deeply human moment in Mark 9: the man who cries out to Jesus, "I believe; help my unbelief!" This message reminds us that doubt is a universal experience, and we can boldly cry out to God—trusting Him to meet us in our uncertainty and help us believe, regardless of our circumstances #Bismarck #church #BismarckCommunityChurch #BCC #Gospel #JourneyThroughScripture #ReadBible #Unity #BibleStudy #ChristianLiving #Sermon #JimEllis #BCCJourney #SermonSeries #BiblicalTruth #BCCBismarck #HelpMyUnbelief #IBelieveHelpMyUnbelief #Mark9 #FaithAndDoubt #HonestFaith #TrustingGod #DoubtIsNormalSupport the showFind out more about us at BismarckCC.org.We would love for you to join us in person on Sunday mornings at 10am for worship service. You Are Greatly Loved | Jim Ellis | 9-14-2025
This week in our "Journey Through Scripture" series, Pastor Jim Ellis guides us through an often-overlooked passage in the book of Daniel. Instead of the familiar stories, he focuses on the first 23 verses of chapter 9, where Daniel confronts his own sin and the sins of Israel. Through Daniel's confession, we discover the profound truth of verse 23: that despite our unrighteousness, we are greatly loved by God. #Bismarck #church #BismarckCommunityChurch #BCC #Gospel #JourneyThroughScripture #ReadBible #Unity #BibleStudy #ChristianLiving #Sermon #JimEllis #BCCJourney #GreatlyLoved #Daniel9 #SermonSeries #YouAreLoved #BiblicalTruth #ConfessionSupport the showFind out more about us at BismarckCC.org.We would love for you to join us in person on Sunday mornings at 10am for worship service.
