The True Meaning of Dharma with Swamini Brahmaprajnananda Saraswati | Ep 39

In this episode, I’m in conversation with a very special guest, Swamini Brahmaprajnananda Saraswati, someone I deeply revere. Our connection is rooted in a shared devotion to freedom, and in the living legacy of our teacher, Swami Dayananda Saraswati, whose work revived the traditional teaching of Advaita Vedanta as a precise means of knowledge. I first met her during my time attending courses in Coimbatore. I remember meeting her before she had taken on the role of a Swamini, and it feels meaningful to reconnect here in this way. Swamini’s background bridges two worlds. She holds a PhD in psychology and worked closely with children, yet even with a deep understanding of the human mind, there was still a sense of something unresolved. In this conversation, she shares how that led her to Vedanta, and how what she discovered brought a clarity that psychology alone could not provide. We explore how psychology supported her journey, where its limitations began to show, and how that understanding now informs the way she teaches. We also speak about the role of the guru, the challenges around trust, and how dharma can be understood in a grounded, practical way, not as rules, but as values that shape how we live and relate. This conversation is both personal and precise, rooted in lived experience and a teaching that continues through a living tradition. If you’ve ever felt that understanding yourself still leaves something unresolved, this conversation may meet you there. Keynotes -Swaminiji's Journey to Vedanta -The Meaning of Guru and Its Significance in Vedanta -Differences Between Traditional Vedanta and Neo-Advaita -The Role of Ishvara in Spiritual Practice -The Concept of Dharma and Swadharma in Daily Life -The Importance of Systematic Study and Lineage in Vedanta -Overcoming Misconceptions About Scriptures -Challenges with Organized Religion -The Influence of Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati -Personal Transformation Through Vedanta ABOUT Swamini Brahmaprajnananda Saraswati Swamini Brahmaprajnananda Saraswati Ph. D has dedicated her life to serving Sanatana Dharma by teaching Advaita Vedanta. Seamlessly flowing from the breadth of self-mastery to the depth of self-discovery, her teachings span the full range of the tradition: regular online Vedanta courses, workshops, and residential retreats in India and internationally; faculty teaching at the Hindu University of America of three core courses; one-one mentoring sessions with disciples, and a podcast Vedanta: The River of Wisdom, along with video teachings that reach students across the globe. She is the founder of SHINE (Spiritual Heritage of India for Next-gen Empowerment), a teaching program to help children live a powerful life of Sanatana Dharma. She is the author of You Matter: Insights from Vedānta which helps beginners to Vedanta, glide into the teachings. A direct disciple of the revered Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati, she completed an intensive three-year residential course in Vedanta, Sanskrit, and Vedic chanting at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam across Coimbatore and Rishikesh — one of the most rigorous programs of traditional Vedantic learning available today. Prior to this while balancing her work commitments she had deepened her study over twelve years under Swami Brahmavidananda and later Swami Sakshatkrtananda, the Acharya of the course in the gurukulam. Before entering monastic life, in a career of 15 years, Swamini Brahmaprajnananda served as Country Head (India) of an international humanitarian organization whose work transformed the lives of over 150,000 street children. She has a Ph D in Philosophy and an M.Phil in psychology. A trained psychologist by background, she carries that understanding of the human mind into the heart of the wisdom of Vedanta, pointing students to what they truly are, boundless and ever free. Sacred Offering into the Fire of Knowledge for Freedom Moksha in Mother Bali with Ingela Indirā Devī | Ep 38

I have to be honest with you… this episode is something I have been wanting to create for a long, long time. Not because I was waiting for the right moment, but because she usually wouldn’t do this kind of thing. And then she said YES. So here we are. In this episode, I’m not just welcoming a guest. I’m sitting with someone who has walked beside me for years… Ingela Indirā Devī is not only a dear friend, she is my Guru Bai, my sister in the same lineage. We have been neighbours in Bali for more than a decade. Shared teachers, shared devotion, shared moments of being deeply “cooked” by life. Here, we speak about Bali, not as a place you visit, but as something that meets you… challenges you… transforms you. A place that doesn’t let you escape yourself. A place that invites you into the fire again and again, until something deeper stabilizes. Ingela shares her journey of arriving here with nothing but a knowing. Of living through uncertainty, not even knowing if there would be enough for the next day… and discovering that in that exact place, something sacred reveals itself. And then life brought her into an even deeper fire. Her home… completely burned to the ground. I also shared something deeply personal in this episode… a dream pattern that had lived in my body for decades, and how, through the grace of ritual, prayer, and this land, something finally released. It wasn’t forced. It wasn’t figured out. It unfolded when I was ready to meet it. And that’s what this conversation keeps pointing back to… We don’t bypass the fire. We offer ourselves into it. Again and again. She embodies sacred service through her unwavering dedication to her children, to their school in North Bali, to the Norwegian school in Sanur, and to her Sanskrit students. She is also the co-creator of Bumiyatra Sacred Tours and Pilgrimages, which she has lovingly organized for many years with her dear brother Bruce Dharma. Together they guide people on authentic sacred journeys and treks, far beyond the ordinary tourist path, into the deeper heart of Bali and its spiritual essence. Ingela has risen like a phoenix through life’s many transformations and stands as a living embodiment of Vedantic wisdom—the vision of oneness and the remembrance of the limitless Self. Rising Like a Phoenix with Razwana Ananda | Ep 37

In this episode of the Born to Be Free, I welcome Razwana Ananda Devi into a deeply intimate conversation on transformation, devotion, and inner awakening. Born in Scotland to Pakistani parents, Razwana’s journey led her across the world to New Zealand, where the ending of a long-term relationship became a sacred turning point. What once felt like heartbreak opened the doorway to profound self-discovery, guiding her into feminine embodiment, healing, and spiritual inquiry. Rising like a phoenix from heartbreak, she devoted herself to self-love, expanded into abundance, and began to recognize the limitless essence within. Through her deep immersion in sacred feminine teachings and the Devi School pathways, including The Heroine’s Journey, alongside her devotion to Vedanta, she anchored into the recognition that nothing outside of us can complete what is already whole. In this conversation, Razwana also opens the doorway into her journey with money and abundance, gently unraveling the limiting beliefs shaped by her upbringing and transforming her relationship with wealth. She speaks to money not as something to fear or chase, but as a tool for growth, self-worth, and conscious living, reminding us that abundance is not scarce, but infinite and available. Now, as a holistic life coach, she guides women back to their inner abundance and inherent worth, supporting them to create love and life from wholeness rather than lack. If you are ready to soften into both love and abundance… this conversation is for you.   KEYNOTES: -Introduction and Background of Razwana Ananda Devi -Razwana's Journey of Transformation -Healing Through Feminine Empowerment -The Power of Self-Discovery and Coaching -Navigating Relationships and Personal Growth -Embracing Self-Love and Vulnerability -The Journey to Finding True Love -Challenging Gender Norms in Relationships -Personal Growth and Life Reflections -Understanding Money Mindset and Beliefs -The Flow of Money and Abundance -The Role of Support and Mentorship -Conscious Wealth and Social Responsibility -The Journey of Self-Discovery and Abundance ABOUT Razwana Ananda Razwana Ananda is a holistic life and relationship coach who supports professional, high-achieving women to attract conscious love, aligned partnership, and abundance through deep inner transformation, embodied self-leadership, and intuitive practice. Returning to the Roots with Purnama | Ep 36

What if the place that shaped your wounds… also holds a piece of your belonging? There are places we learn to turn away from. Places where we felt too different. Too foreign. Too much… or not enough. Places where we tried to belong… and quietly decided, “maybe I don’t.” And so we leave. We search for ourselves elsewhere, in other lands, other people, other ways of being… hoping that somewhere out there, it will finally feel like home. We reinvent. We adapt. We become who we need to be to survive. And yet… something in us remembers. A quiet pull. A subtle ache. A feeling that something is still unfinished. But what happens… when life calls you back? Not to relive the past, but to meet it differently. Not to become who you were, but to reclaim what was left behind. In this episode of Born to Be Free, I sit with Purnama Melissa, a singer, songwriter, sound healer, ceremonialist, and keeper of indigenous wisdom. Born to a Swiss father and a Balinese mother, Purnama carries two worlds within her. A life shaped by both richness and rupture, by cultural depth and deep personal challenges. Her younger years were marked by trauma, disconnection, and a profound sense of not being understood, leading her to leave home at 18 in search of healing. And yet… through that very path, something sacred began to unfold. Through music. Through prayer. Through returning to the land of her ancestors. This conversation opens within a solstice space, a threshold of transition and deep remembrance. From Switzerland to Bali, from disconnection to devotion, from silence to voice, this conversation reveals what it really means to return. Not by becoming someone else… But by remembering who you have always been. Because the journey is not about choosing one identity over another. It is about learning how to belong… to all of yourself.. to your roots.. To the parts shaped by love. And the parts shaped by pain. To the cultures that formed you. And the spaces where you felt you didn’t fit. There is something tender here. The quiet ache of not fitting in. The in-between spaces. The longing to feel at home, somewhere, anywhere. And also… the beauty of discovering that belonging is not something you find outside of you. It is something you allow yourself to return to. Again and again. What if nothing was wasted? What if the places that didn’t hold you the way you needed… are still part of your path to wholeness? If you’ve ever felt like an outsider in your own life… If you’ve ever questioned where you truly belong… If something in you is being gently pulled back, to your roots, your voice, your truth… This conversation is for you. - KEYNOTES -  Growing up between cultures and feeling like an outsider The belief that art cannot be a real career Discovering music and voice as a spiritual path Returning to ancestral roots and Balinese culture A spiritual awakening through nature and travel Understanding the meaning behind Balinese offerings Devotion as the heart of Balinese life Music and sound as portals for healing The wound of not belonging and the search for tribe Finding community through sacred gatherings Healing the relationship with one's homeland Nature and mountains as living elders Gratitude for both spiritual and material abundance The danger of competition in spiritual spaces Spirituality as contribution rather than competition The impact of colonialism on cultures and traditions Protecting the sacred traditions of Bali Recognizing the wisdom of indigenous cultures Living in harmony with the seen and unseen worlds The responsibility to give back to sacred lands Remembering that humanity is one family   ABOUT Purnama Purnama Melissa is a singer, songwriter, and sound healer, as well as a ceremonialist, yoga and philosophy teacher, and keeper of indigenous wisdom. Embodied Sensuality with Meher Malik | Ep 35

Sexuality is not pleasure chasing. It is alchemy. In this deeply intimate and expansive conversation, I sit with Meher Malik, a mover, mentor, mother, embodiment coach, and graduate in Buddhist Studies, to explore Embodied Sensuality as a lived spiritual path, one that moves through motherhood, lineage, sexuality, emotion, and values… We speak about what happens when women are severed from their senses, from feeling, from intuition, and how that quiet disconnection shapes the way we love, relate, choose, and inhabit our lives. How sensuality becomes externalized. How intimacy becomes performative. How longing replaces truth. Embodied Sensuality begins not in sex, but in sensation, in the hips, the breath, and the capacity to stay with what we feel without leaving the body. Meher shares how raising a daughter has become a profound spiritual initiation, a daily mirror of consent, presence, and emotional truth. We reflect on children as embodied teachers, on parenting as a way of re-parenting the self, restoring what was never modeled, and on what it means to raise girls who know their bodies belong to them. This episode moves gently through sexuality as alchemy rather than gratification. As a force that reveals shadow, vulnerability, values, and inner responsibility. We speak openly about why so much sacred sexuality work skips the essential groundwork, the emotional, somatic, and philosophical foundations that allow intimacy to become conscious rather than compulsive. Embodied Sensuality, as it lives here, is not about being more expressive, desirable, or powerful. It is about slowing down enough to feel without self-betrayal. About letting the body set the pace. About allowing intimacy and spirituality to grow from a ground that can actually hold them. If your body is tired of being pushed. If your desire wants honesty instead of performance. If something in you knows there is another way to inhabit sensuality, motherhood, and spirit. Come listen. ______________________________KEYNOTES: Motherhood as a spiritual initiation and mirror of embodiment Children as Embodied Teachers Lineage Healing Through Parenting Embodied Sensuality Sexuality as Alchemy Disconnection from the senses as the root of women’s disempowerment Intuition as bodily wisdom Groundwork before sacred sexuality, trauma, emotion, and belief systems Sex inseparable from emotion, consciousness, and existence Neo-tantric bypassing without dharma and values Women’s spiritual paths differ from masculine models Absence of women’s embodied voices in sacred traditions Values as the ground beneath beliefs and relating Modern intimacy patterns rooted in lack of emotional language Slowing down as the essence of discernment and spiritual maturity Embodiment as remembrance, not performance Juiciness as aliveness, presence, and inner fullness ______________________________ ABOUT Meher Malik Meher Malik is a mover, a mentor and a mother. Embodied Awakening and Long-term Integration with Tanya Kaps | Ep 34

We are opening this year with a conversation that was recorded earlier, yet arrives with precise timing. Some teachings are not meant for the moment they are spoken. They wait. They ripen. And they meet us when we are ready to receive them. Sitting beneath the Banyan tree in Bali, and I'm very happy and I have some butterflies in my heart, excited to introduce my dear sister, Tanya Kaps, a person that I met a long time ago.. Tanya and I return to the roots of our spiritual lives. To lineage. To recognition that happens before language. To the body knowing yes before the mind understands why. This conversation carries the energy of beginnings, not the kind that push us forward, but the kind that draw us inward. Tanya brings a depth shaped by decades of practice and inquiry. With over 25 years devoted to yoga, Vedanta, and self inquiry, and a background in Integrated Science and Transpersonal Psychology, her presence bridges lived wisdom and grounded understanding. Years of close study with our same Vedanta teacher, Swami Vagishananda, along with her own experience of kundalini awakening and long integration, inform the way she meets students, without urgency, without bypassing, and with deep respect for the human pace of unfolding. Vedanta shows up here not as theory, but as something lived. Not an idea to understand, but a clarity that continues to unfold through relationships, the body, and everyday life. Seeking softens, yet life does not disappear. If anything, it asks to be met more fully. The conversation opens into the often misunderstood terrain of kundalini awakening and spiritual emergency. Awakenings that arrive without preparation. Experiences labeled as psychosis. Moments of insight that come before the nervous system has the capacity to hold them. Integration is not treated as a phase, but as an ongoing process that unfolds over years. Again and again, we return to embodiment. To the understanding that transcendence without embodiment can leave parts of us untouched. That spiritual bypassing, even when subtle, delays healing. That realization matures when we are willing to meet emotion, fatigue, relationship, and ordinary life as sacred ground. Birth, parenting, exhaustion, tantrums, love, and service reveal Vedanta through flesh and blood. The child as pure prakriti. The body as teacher. Judgment, rather than identity, quietly shaping suffering. What remains is a grounded reflection on paradox. Being both divine and deeply human. Structure and flow. Ha and Tha. Masculine and feminine principles as partners rather than opposites, and the wider return of feminine wisdom in yoga and spirituality, honoring cycles, birth, menopause, trauma informed embodiment, and relational depth that were long left unspoken. Long term immersion supports integration in ways peak experiences cannot. And underneath it all, a quiet reassurance. That nothing on the path was wrong. That every stage served the unfolding. That all is well, has always been well, and will always be well. If your heart has ever known truth before language, if your awakening asked you to come back into life rather than leave it, this conversation is for you. KEYNOTES: Returning to Under the Banyan Tree as a place of lineage and remembrance Sacred recognition and the meeting of a true teacher Vedanta as lived experience, not philosophy Kundalini awakening and spiritual emergency The need for context, nervous system capacity, and embodiment Transcendence without embodiment leading to spiritual bypassing Spiritual bypassing and its shadows Motherhood as embodied non dual initiation The child as pure prakriti and spiritual teacher Judgment as the true source of suffering, not identity Roles, fluidity, and dharma in daily life Ha and Tha, structure and flow as nervous system wisdom The feminine return in yoga and spirituality Paradox as the living heart of realization Long term immersion vs peak experiences Teaching as devotion and mutual unfolding Kundalini Tantra as demystification Spiritual sovereignty lived in ordinary life Trust in the intelligence of the unfolding ABOUT Tanya Kaps: Tanya Kaps has dedicated her life to the path of Yoga and Self inquiry. She is a Yoga Vedanta and Kundalini Tantra teacher with over 25 years of practice, study, teaching. She also has an academic background in Integrated Science and Transpersonal Psychology. After 10 years of teaching asana (HATHA: Hot, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Power) pranayama and meditation, Tanya met her revered Vedanta Guru Swami Vagishanda. She sat with him for 12 years, during which time he initiated her into teaching Advaita Vedanta (Oneness). Also during this time she experienced a Kundalini awakening which took years to integrate through practical tools and understanding and primarily through loving Surrender. It has become her passion to support sincere students through a natural, gradual spiritual awakening process. Pleasure as Prayer: Embracing Fear & Sacred Sexuality in the Navarātri Online Festival with Sharada Devi | Ep 33

Pleasure as Prayer. These words have been moving through my heart as the living theme for this year’s Navarātri Online Festival. The choice is not accidental. For many of us, prayer has been tied to duty, to fear, to heaviness. And pleasure has often been hidden in the shadows, wrapped in shame or secrecy. Yet what if both prayer and pleasure were never meant to be separate. In this new episode of Born to Be Free, I place myself in the seat of the guest, while my dear sister and longtime student, Amanda Devi, steps in as hostess. Amanda’s own journey began years ago when she first joined Navarātri, a doorway that opened her into the teachings of devotion and sacred sexuality, into women’s circles, priestess initiations, and into her own path as a therapist and guide. So it feels deeply precious that she is the one guiding this conversation. Together we enter a very human and sacred inquiry: fear, prayer, and pleasure. Fear is something we all know. The fear of not being enough. The fear of judgment. The fear of being misunderstood. My own teacher once gave me a mantra that changed everything: “Oh fear, I welcome you, you are my best friend.” Over time I learned to walk with fear instead of fighting it. To breathe it in, to give it space, to let it soften me. When I could do that, fear itself became a kind of prayer… a doorway into freedom. And then there is pleasure. Not the kind clouded by shame or pressure, but the simple pleasure of being alive. The breath moving through the body. The warmth of touch. The joy of intimacy with life itself. When held in reverence, pleasure too becomes prayer — a way of offering our humanity back to the Goddess. From September 22 to October 1, our Free Navarātri Online Festival will gather seekers from across the world. This year is especially precious because instead of inviting dozens of outside teachers, we will be guided by the very faculty of The Muse, The Golden Womb. What you will taste in Navarātri is a glimpse into the deeper Muse journey — a weaving of trauma-informed healing, sacred sexuality, and embodied devotion, offered in the spirit of the Goddess. If you have ever carried fear in your body, if you have longed to feel your devotion alive in every breath, these nine nights are for you. Come as you are. Bring your fear, bring your longing, bring your joy. Together we will remember. Together we will pray. Together we will celebrate that pleasure too belongs to the sacred.   ____ KEYNOTES -Amanda’s journey as longtime student & priestess began when she first joined the Navarātri Festival -Welcoming Fear as a Teacher -Self-Knowledge as the Solution to Fear -Tools for Emotional Healing -Use of breath, sound, movement, and touch to process and release emotions -Navarātrī theme of the year is "Pleasure as Prayer” -Invitation for all to join The Navarātrī Free Online Festival -Celebration of the Goddess -The festival and programs are for anyone seeking meaning, self-acceptance, harmony, and true happiness -The Muse, The Golden Womb Program: a 13-month journey focusing on embodiment, sacred sexuality, and self-healing. -The program is structured in trimesters: personal healing, learning to coach others, and understanding relationships. -Ritualizing Life and Reclaiming Power -Universal Values   ____   ABOUT Amanda Roth Amanda Roth is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, yoga massage therapist, and ACT/CBT therapist who weaves together somatic awareness, breathwork, Advaita Vedānta, and poetic movement to guide others home to themselves. Trauma, Release, and the Orgasm of Life with Efu Nyaki | Ep 32

Have you ever wondered if the very places you resist, the shock, the wound, the contraction, could be the same places that open the door to life’s deepest pleasure? In this episode, I sit with Euphrasia Niyaki, lovingly known as Efu… a woman who carries the transmission of mystery in her very being. Born in Tanzania and rooted in the traditions of her people, she grew up surrounded by ritual, community, and ancestral remembrance. These foundations continue to shape her path as a healer and teacher. For more than three decades, Efu has devoted her life to guiding others back into wholeness. She is a senior trainer in Somatic Experiencing, a long-time practitioner of Family Constellation, and the founder of AFYA Holistic Healing Center in Brazil. This sanctuary is a place where women and communities gather to reclaim their bodies, release the weight of trauma, and return to the resources of life within them. Carrying this work across continents, she has supported people from all walks of life to rediscover what it means to be alive, present, and resourced. And yet, what she reveals is that trauma is not always what we think it is. We imagine it to be only the extraordinary events — war, violence, catastrophe. But she reminds us it can also be found in the small, ordinary ruptures of life. The moment of birth, when we leave the warm waters of the womb for the blinding lights of a hospital room. The blast of a horn or the sudden boom of a city street that jolts our body into shock. The look from a boss that leaves us spiraling into questions of safety and survival. The sting of realizing our friends left us out, the whisper of exclusion echoing the wounds of childhood. These are traumas too. They live in the nervous system, unfinished and unresolved. They keep us locked in cycles of defense, protecting life at all costs but never fully living. And this is where Efu’s wisdom turns us toward an unexpected doorway: the body’s innate capacity to resolve. Healing is not always about retelling the story. It begins when the nervous system is given the chance to complete what it could not finish before. And strangely, tenderly, this path often leads us back through pleasure. It may sound surprising, but pleasure is not a luxury. It is medicine. The body relaxes, the breath deepens, a soft tingling arises, and suddenly the system remembers what ease feels like. In those moments something radical unfolds: comfort, safety, even joy. Efu calls it “the orgasm of life.” Of course, staying with pleasure is not always simple. Many of us find it easier to stay in pain than to allow softness. Yet, when we let ourselves rest in even the smallest sensations of ease…the warmth of breath, the muscles releasing, the heartbeat slowing — something shifts. Shame begins to dissolve. The layers of defense soften. We remember that underneath it all, we are whole. This conversation felt like a transmission, a living reminder that the body longs for us to return home, not only to the wound but also to the wonder. It is such a gift to share this space with Efu, and even more so to welcome her into our wider temple field. She will be joining us for Navaratri: Nine Nights of the Goddess Festival, and as part of the faculty of The Muse: The Golden Womb, our trauma-informed Sacred Sexuality Devi Coaching Certification. Her presence will guide us deeper into the medicine of the body, the mystery of life, and the grace of returning to pleasure. If your body has ever longed to release the grip of pain and remember its natural joy, this conversation is for you.   Keynotes -Somatic Experiencing and Family Constellation - Efu's 30+ years of expertise in these holistic healing modalities. -Trauma from a Somatic Perspective -Importance of Pleasure, Sensation, and Resources -Efu's Work with Traumatized Women in Brazil -AFYA Holistic Healing Center -Trauma is Not Just Major Events -Pendulation Between Pain and Pleasure -Bridging Dissociation -Breath, Sound, Sensation as Somatic Tools -Shame and Beliefs of Unworthiness -Joining "Muse: The Golden Womb" Faculty -Navaratri Festival - A free online festival where Efu and other faculty will be offering teachings & their expertise   ABOUT Efu Nyaki Euphrasia (Éfu) Nyaki was born and raised in Tanzania, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, trained as a science teacher, and later became a healer using holistic methods. From Performative Spirituality to Embodied Devotion with Hanne Mysen | Ep 31

Have you ever wondered what it truly means to come home to yourself? Not the version of you shaped by religion, family traditions, or others’ expectations… But the one who remembers. The one who feels. The one who longs to trust again, to feel safe in her body, to make love to life from wholeness. In this episode, I sit in sacred conversation with Hanne Mysen, a graduate of The Muse: The Golden Womb. A woman of many layers. A priest’s daughter. A sensual mystic. A being who chose to meet her wounds with love and walk the long spiral home to herself. Hanne shares what it’s like to grow up surrounded by the language of God but disconnected from Her body. To feel the ache of not being reflected in the altar. To live in a family where image and devotion collided, and to carry silent questions about power, sexuality, and belonging with nowhere safe to bring them. This is a transmission about what happens when a woman dares to step out of performance and into presence. When she turns inward and listens. When she begins to trust the tremble, the rage, the grief, and the longing. We speak about childhood imprinting, sexual trauma, secrecy and shame. Of the quiet betrayals that happen when spiritual roles are assigned but not embodied. Hanne speaks of her turning point with such clarity and beauty — leaving behind relationships and structures that no longer honored her truth, and stepping into the fertile ground of trauma-informed sacred sexuality. And we meet there. In The Golden Womb. The temple of remembrance where we bow to both the pain and the pleasure. Where Vedānta meets the wild Eros. Where plant medicine offers what words cannot. And where the sacred body, once shamed and hidden, becomes the altar. In this episode, I also share something very personal.A recent experience of cosmic lovemaking — not metaphor, but real. The kind that shakes the bones and rewrites the nervous system. The kind that can only happen after years of softening, praying, crying, healing, screaming, letting go, and letting truth touch you so deeply that it dissolves the lie of separation. Because healing is not an idea. It is a full-body remembrance. We speak of the union of Shiva and Shakti within. We speak of women who gather in sisterhood not to perform but to purify. Not to be seen but to truly see. And we speak of what happens when that sacred seeing is turned inward … and a woman finally meets herself. This episode is not tidy. It is not a list of steps. It is an offering for the part of you that is tired of pretending. For the part of you that aches for a lineage that includes all of you — the blood, the beauty, the breakdown, the bliss. We are not meant to do this alone. And we do not have to. If you’ve ever looked at your own story and thought “this is too much,”If you’ve ever wondered whether you will feel whole again,If you are yearning for a space to bring all of you, your wounds and your wisdom…this is for you. The golden womb is not a metaphor. She is real. And she is waiting. Eros, Plant Medicine & Vedanta with Shāradā Devī | Ep 30

In this rare and intimate episode, the mic is turned… This time, toward me. I’m joined by my sister Lovisa Dahl—someone who has walked beside me for years, not just as a student, but as a dear friend and soul companion. She knows me in many forms. And in this conversation, she invites more of me forward. What unfolds is not just an interview. It’s a deeper kind of sharing. A soft peeling back. A remembering. A homecoming. We speak about the Be Woman Project, how it began as a whispered prayer from my teacher—“Know woman. Be woman. All woman. Nature, nurture me.” That prayer became a song. The song became a circle. And the circle became a global movement for women to gather, remember, and reclaim who they are. We talk about the sisterhood wound... How jealousy between women, and how much that has shaped us… the subtle (and not so subtle) ways we’ve been taught to compete, compare, and hold back. And how admiration—genuine, embodied admiration—is one of the most powerful medicines we have to heal that wound. And then we go deeper. I open up about my own sacred merging.. I share more about the parts of me I used to keep separate.. The traditional path of Advaita Vedānta I’ve studied and taught for many years. And the wild, embodied world of sacred sexuality and Eros that cracked me open in a completely different way. For a long time, I didn’t know how to bring them together. I thought one gave me credibility and respect… the other gave me life. But what I’ve realized over the years is that these paths don’t cancel each other out. And the truth is… they were never meant to be separate. They complete each other. This episode is about that integration. About giving myself permission to be all of it. The chanting priestess. The orgasmic witch. The woman who prays with words and with touch. I speak about healing trauma. About giving yourself pleasure during your moon. About grief. About devotion. About finding home in your own hands. And I share what’s arriving now—what I call the Sacred Triangle: the marriage of Vedānta, Eros, and Plant Medicine...Three rivers flowing into one wild, holy current. I also speak about what’s calling me forward now: a deeper vision. If you’ve ever felt pulled between your spiritual life and your sensual body… If you’ve ever struggled to feel fully seen inside the structures you were once devoted to… Or if you’re simply longing for honest conversation, permission, and the feeling of being deeply met— This episode is for you. Come listen. Come closer. This is a space where ALL of YOU is welcome._ _ Keynotes: -Sharada is interviewed by longtime sister and student Lovisa Dahl, sharing the depth of their shared journey from sacred bridal blessings to spiritual mentorship and living lineage. -The Birth of the Be Woman Project -The power of shifting from jealousy to admiration -Vedānta's wisdom of “one gold, many ornaments” -Permission to Be All of You -Walking the Path of Non-Duality and Sacred Sexuality -Sharada reveals how self-pleasure became a revolutionary practice of healing and reclaiming sovereignty -The Sacred Triangle: Vedānta, Eros, and Plant Medicine -Role of Teachers and Sacred Mirrors -Sharada shares her unfolding vision: a long-term living sanctuary where women can heal, learn, and live the sacred triangle—not just in retreat, but in life. -Upcoming training - The Muse: The Golden Womb _ _ Follow Sharada Devi's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sharada_devi_school/ Website: https://www.devischool.info/ — The Muse (The Golden Womb): https://www.devischool.info/the-muse-online-group-coaching The Permission (Free Mistress Class aka Master Class): https://www.devischool.info/the-permission Join the Devi Temple Membership, a one of a kind journey to the sanctuary of your magnificent being where you discover that all you have ever wanted is already here: https://www.devischool.info/devi-temple — Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/born-to-be-free/id1732123169 Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4w1KLIoHKxifsUo7odfFSV Devi School – VIDEO DISCLAIMER The information contained within this video is for informational purposes only. Birth Like a Bear with Disa Mineur | Ep 29

In this intimate and powerfully alive conversation, I’m joined by returning guest, beloved sister, and sacred cyclical guide Disa Mineur, newly emerged from the cocoon of postpartum with her second child, and radiant with the wisdom of one who has walked through fire and returned to the temple of her own womb. Together, we explore orgasmic freebirth, decolonizing the body, and what it means to be a woman who can hold both the grief of the world and the bliss of creation. Disa shares how she unschooled herself from colonized, medicalized narratives of birth…peeling back layers of fear, shame, and separation to remember birth as a sacred, sovereign, psychedelic rite of passage. Through devotion, self-touch, and cyclical intimacy, she prepared her body as altar. We trace her journey from The Diamond Mentorship into the depths of her freebirth, what she calls “birth like a bear". A mammalian descent. A mystical opening. She speaks of DMT waves, divine communion, and the fluorescent light of life moving through her womb. This is also a story of sacred support…of being held by both feminine and masculine presence. And the grace that arrives when a woman is tenderly met by sisters, and deeply witnessed by her beloved. Her story is a transmission. A remembering. how a cervix can be a stargate. how pleasure is prayer, and prayer is power. how a woman, fully with herself, changes the world. Whether you are a mother or not, this is for you…if you are curious about what it means to live from your body’s truth, birth your projects from devotion, and remember that you belong to the sacred. It is also a sacred prelude to what’s to come: Disa now joins the faculty of The Muse: The Golden Womb—a trauma-informed sacred sexuality and Devi Coaching Certification beginning after Navarātri. Her lived wisdom will guide women into cyclical awareness, womb reclamation, and full-spectrum embodiment. If you’ve longed to return to your womb as temple… your body as sacred… this is your call. Return to Inner Wholeness with Elisa Maran | Ep 28

This episode is an invitation into the quiet, often overlooked space where burnout lives, where our service to others begins to cost us our connection to ourselves. In this intimate and heart-opening conversation, I sit with my beloved sister, Elisa Maran: Ayurveda practitioner, herbalist, mother, and former humanitarian aid worker. We met seven years ago in Sicily during a Vedānta immersion with my revered teacher. She offered me one of the most soul-soothing massages I’ve ever received. Her presence, her hands, her touch... I knew in that moment she was carrying something sacred. Since then, we’ve walked side by side through many seasons, through cycles of grief, joy, birth, and becoming. Elisa’s path has not been linear. She’s worked in child protection across Nepal, India, and Thailand. She’s lived in tribal villages, studied Sanskrit, practiced permaculture, and walked barefoot back into the embrace of Mother Earth. But the turning point came when she realized she could no longer live in a way that disregarded her body’s truth. Even with her knowledge of Ayurveda, she was still treating herself like a machine…something to fix, to keep going. And it was in the breakdown that the breakthrough came. In this conversation, we speak about the cost of giving from an empty cup. About the nervous system on constant alert. About the guilt that follows pleasure. And about the sacred disarmament that begins when we finally start mothering ourselves. Ayurveda, here, is not a lifestyle trend. It is a return to the original temple. It’s about listening. Slowing down. Feeling again. It’s the language of oil, earth, ritual, and repair. And I’m so honored to share that Elisa is one of the guest teachers in The Muse: The Golden Womb, our trauma-informed sacred sexuality coaching certification. In this upcoming cycle, she returns to offer what we lovingly call the “Witch’s Corner,” a deep dive into the sacred art of herbalism, embodied Ayurveda, plant rituals, and pleasure-based nourishment. She’ll guide us in making tinctures, oils, and ancestral medicine that awaken our hands and our hearts. It’s the kind of education I wish every woman received… how to remember your power through your senses, your cycle, and your touch. This episode is a blessing for the woman who is tired of being the strong one. For the ones whose systems are whispering slow down. For the healers, the givers, the quiet warriors who’ve been holding so much for so long. If you’re longing to feel whole again, to melt the armor, to come back into joy… not as performance but as prayer, this is for you. Come sit with us. Something tender is waiting to be remembered. _ _ KEYNOTES: -Elisa's Background and Journey, humanitarian works -Early interest in healing and nature & studied Oriental Languages -Ayurveda: "science of life" from Vedic tradition -Holistic approach to optimal living through diet, lifestyle, and understanding body-mind connection -Individual constitution and seasonal practices -Elisa experienced burnout from constant crisis response -Shifted focus to more sustainable, nature-connected lifestyle -Importance of honoring cyclical nature of women's bodies and lives -Upcoming Muse to Golden Womb Program : trauma-informed coaching certification -"Witch Corner" -Safe container crucial for healing shame and trauma -Melting "armor" to experience pleasure and joy again -Reconnecting with nature and plant medicines as empowerment -Choosing wholeness over societal programming towards failure -Elisa developing small retreat center in Sicily -Devi School Free Offerings & many more.. _ _ ABOUT Elisa Maran Elisa is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Deep Ecology Facilitator, Yin Yoga Teacher and Permaculture lover. Reclaiming Sexual Health & Pleasure with Dr. Maca Knop | Ep 27

“I grew up knowing that pleasure was something incredible… but I couldn’t find anyone who could say, ‘Yes. Yes, it’s sacred.’” - Maca In this deeply intimate episode of Born to Be Free, I’m joined by my beloved sister, student, pleasure coach, and fellow priestess Macarena “Maca” Knop. She is a medical doctor, a specialist in Dermatology and Venereology (Sexual Health). Her path is not a split between intellect and embodiment, it is a sacred fusion of both modern medicine with ancient wisdom, bringing together the nervous system, female anatomy, and the mystery of Shakti. What unfolds is a powerful conversation about reclamation of pleasure, of wholeness, of the sacred body. Maca shares how she moved from the rigid frameworks of modern medicine into a trauma-informed, spirit-rooted way of practicing and living. From her medical studies in Santiago to her specialization in Munich, and into the sacred circles of the Heroine’s Journey and Priestess Initiation in Bali, she has been on a journey of remembering: that our bodies are not clinical problems to fix, but radiant vessels of power and intelligence. She speaks with raw honesty about realizing that her textbooks never included the full anatomy of the clitoris. About what it felt like to be told she was too much—too joyful, too sensual, too alive. About the sacred shift that happened when she found herself held by sisters who didn’t try to shrink her, but celebrated her. We talk about what it means to carry trauma in the nervous system…not just from violence or crisis, but from the subtle ways we’ve been shamed out of our radiance. The unspoken rules around pleasure. And how the body remembers all of it…until we listen, gently and with reverence, and choose to come back. Maca now offers her medicine from a different place…one rooted in Shakti, in truth, in the full yes of her being. And she will be joining the faculty of The Muse: The Golden Womb to teach sacred female anatomy and the intricate, beautiful relationship between sexuality and the nervous system. This episode is an offering for the part of you that’s been silenced. For the woman who wonders if her joy is too much. For the sacred being in you that already knows: you were never broken. If your pleasure has ever felt unsafe… if your body has carried both wonder and confusion… if you’re ready to come home to yourself, this is for you. Clitoris, Orgasm, Sacred Birth on TEDx with Lovisa Dahl | Ep 26

What happens when a woman tells the truth about her pleasure? When she speaks aloud what most have learned to hide—clitoris, orgasm, sacred birth—on a TEDx stage, in a viral article, and on national television? In this episode of Born to be Free, I welcome back Lovisa Dahl, sacred sexuality guide, biodynamic healer, mother of three, and radiant voice for the reclamation of birth as a sacred rite. Lovisa is not only a dear sister on this path, she is also one of the guest teachers inside the upcoming ‘The Muse: The Golden Womb’ program. Her story carries the fire of lived experience. She has walked through the gates of orgasmic birth, publicly shared her truth with the world, and met both reverence and resistance. Lovisa reveals what unfolded after choosing to speak her truth, out loud, into a world still afraid of feminine power. Yes, there was celebration…but also criticism, projection, and the quiet sting of cultural discomfort. Because when a woman claims pleasure, when she names birth as sacred and sexual, she becomes a mirror for everything society has tried to repress. Together, we explore the layers of shame that still surround birth, sex, and feminine power—and why the world often punishes women who dare to live and speak freely. Lovisa brings this depth of remembrance into her offering within The Muse which is a trauma-informed sacred sexuality program that I am opening again this Autumn. Inside the Muse, we weave a rich and integrative temple path that includes somatic trauma healing and nervous system restoration; family constellation and ancestral lineage work; Ayurveda, herbal medicine, and sacred womb care; gender inclusivity and decolonized sexuality; anatomy of arousal, birth reclamation, and sex magic; as well as myth rewriting, dharmic purpose, and the Heroine’s Journey. Each part of the journey is designed to return us to our sovereign wholeness. Not through force, but through embodied grace. Lovisa’s Love Birth Method, rooted in embodiment, pleasure, relaxation, visualization, and surrender - is a powerful part of this. Whether you're preparing for motherhood or simply longing to feel safe in your body again, her wisdom meets you where you are. It is a reminder that pleasure is not a luxury. It is a birthright. This episode is for anyone who has felt the pain of being too much…or not enough. Anyone who has feared their truth would be rejected. Anyone who is ready to let shame fall away and step into embodied radiance. If you’ve ever felt punished for your joy, if you’ve longed to feel safe in your truth, if you’re ready to remember who you are underneath the silence, this is for you. ✨ You are not too much. ✨ You are not wrong. ✨ You are not alone. The Muse begins soon. But the remembering can start now. Come. Listen. Be held. You were born for this. _ KEYNOTES: -The Sacred Naming of Lovisa’s Children -Names as reminders of divine qualities and inner potential -When Lovisa joined The Diamond Mentorship: A pivotal six-month mentorship exploring Sex, Money, and Power -Lovisa worked through deep shame, especially around speaking about orgasmic birth -The “111 Desires” practice seeded her future TEDx talk and global exposure -Orgasmic Birth & Love Birth (5 Foundational Pillars) -Lovisa’s unexpected TEDx audition became a turning point -Followed by a viral article and TV appearance in the UK about orgasmic birth -Mainstream media exposure sparked both celebration and backlash -Lovisa stayed rooted in love and purpose despite public criticism -Global Intimacy Disorder -The Muse: Golden Womb Program -Rewriting one's sexual narrative is possible—and powerful. -Spiritual Contribution over Competition __ ABOUT Lovisa Dahl Lovisa Dahl is a birth mentor and Orgasmic Birth Practitioner dedicated to healing earth through birth. By empowering women to embrace pleasure, sacred sexuality and ritual she offers a unique way to prepare for birth. With three home births of her own and studies in feminine embodiment, she guides pregnant women to their most empowered, positive and pleasurable birth experiences. Sacred Teeth Healing Journey | Ep 25

In this solo episode of Born to Be Free, recorded in Davos, the birthplace of this podcast...I share one of the most vulnerable chapters of my life. Earlier this year in Bali, I found myself navigating a health crisis that brought me face-to-face with long-buried shame and deeper layers of healing I hadn’t yet met. What you’ll witness are raw clips I recorded just days after undergoing surgery. They are unfiltered, bloody, and real..an offering of truth, not perfection. For most of my life, I’ve walked the path of alternative healing—Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, plant medicine, holistic therapies. And I still honor those traditions deeply. But sometimes, we must also receive the grace of Western medicine. I’m grateful for that system too, for the support it offered when I needed it most. So I made the choice to undergo bone graft surgery. Not because it aligned with how I usually do things, but because it was necessary. Because... '’In the worst-case scenario, you will lose your teeth.” That was the diagnosis my dentist in Bali gave me after a checkup I scheduled—because of a dream. In the dream, I lost all my teeth. It wasn’t the first time. I’ve had this dream a few times in my life. For many years, I carried a strong, almost primal fear in my system: the fear that one day I would lose all my teeth. I was raised with the belief that having beautiful teeth was essential—necessary—to attract a partner. And I know that may sound silly to you, but to me, it was deeply ingrained. One part of me knew that belief wasn’t true. And another part of me truly believed that it was. My self-image became tied to the beauty, the health, the well-being of my teeth. My gums are bigger than most, and for many years I was self-conscious about it. I didn’t like that part of my body. But through many love rituals and deep personal work, I learned to accept it. Maybe I can’t yet say I love it—but I can accept it. I can appreciate it. I can witness the wonder and infinite intelligence in that part of me. Then came the day when I had to face it all. I needed surgery. I had periodontitis, and I didn’t want to lose my teeth. The doctor told me: You can do a bone graft surgery, and hopefully the bone will regenerate in the next four to eight months—and you’ll be able to keep your teeth. So I did the surgery. For two weeks, I was in bed with stitches in my mouth. And in those quiet, tender days, I descended underground— I met the little girl who felt so ashamed of her teeth. Ashamed of having braces. Ashamed of being seen. And in those two weeks, I released an incredible amount of shame—shame that had been buried at the bottom of the iceberg, also known as the unconscious. I’m sharing this with you so you know: you’re not alone. Maybe there’s something in your life that you’re struggling with—your looks, your hair, your back, your skin… whatever it may be. I know so many people who are suffering quietly with these things. So please—hear me when I say: You are not alone. Reach out for help. Get support. And remember: you are ever loved. No matter what.   With love and sovereignty, Sharada   KEYNOTES -The “Bone Woman” -Embraces rawness, transparency, and sacred vulnerability -How societal programming can root deep shame -The body’s decay becomes a portal to liberation -Underwent bone graft surgery due to bone loss threatening her teeth -Alternative Healing & Western medical interventions -Symbolic & Emotional Layers on ‘teeth’ and ‘surgery’ -Vedanta as Medicine -Every perceived loss is a gain when met through the lens of devotion, inquiry, and love — Download Here: Sacred Teeth Journey PDF __ Follow Sharada Devi's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sharada_devi_school/ Website: https://www.devischool.info/ — Embodied Wisdom Retreat: https://www.devischool.info/embodied-wisdom-retreat-sweden The Muse (The Golden Womb): https://www.devischool.info/the-muse-online-group-coaching The Permission (Free Mistress Class aka Master Class): https://www.devischool.info/the-permission Join the Devi Temple Membership, a one of a kind journey to the sanctuary of your magnificent being where you discover that all you have ever wanted is already here: https://www.devischool.info/devi-temple — Listen on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/born-to-be-free/id1732123169 Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4w1KLIoHKxifsUo7odfFSV Join the Devi Temple a one of a kind journey to the sanctuary of your magnificent being where you discover that all you have ever wanted is already here.https://www.devischool.info/devi-temple Devi School – VIDEO DISCLAIMER The information contained within this video is for informational purposes only. Relationship, Separation, and the Path to Freedom | Episode 24

What if the true purpose of your relationship isn’t to complete you, but to free you? This sharing arose within a sacred container inside the Devi Temple—a membership, a space where we come together in devotion, inquiry, and remembrance. After returning from the Eros Mystery School immersion with Dr. Marc Gafni, Kristina Kincaid, Marcus & Vylana Aubrey, I felt the pulse to speak to what was stirring deeply in the field of relationship, marriage, separation, and the eternal path of wholeness. Together, we explore the Vedic understanding that life itself is relationship…not just between people, but between self and the whole. In a world aching from what Dr. Gafni calls a global intimacy disorder, many of us are left reaching for connection from a place of not knowing who we are. This not-knowing becomes the root of so much pain, confusion, and grasping in love. From the lens of Vedanta, relationships are not ends in themselves, but mirrors…sacred grounds for ego development, healing, and ultimately, liberation. We explore the nature of self-knowledge as freedom, the radical idea of relationship-less-ness, and the evolution from rolemates to soulmates to wholemates—those who walk together with a shared vision of truth. We also speak to the very human experience of need: how we haven’t learned to ask, how we sometimes sever what still holds value, and how learning to articulate what we require, without shame, can itself be a spiritual practice. ✨ This is not a guide to fixing relationships. It’s an invitation to see through them—to the love that doesn’t leave, the presence that was never separate, and the infinite being we are, even in the mess, the longing, and the grace of it all. Listen to the full episode when you're ready to sit with the beauty, the paradox, the freedom of sacred relating, and sit with the inquiry: What if every relationship, especially the difficult ones, were an invitation to return home to yourself? Chemistry vs. Connection with Alison Armstrong | Ep 23

We’ve been conditioned to chase the thrill…the butterflies, the intoxicating pull, the undeniable chemistry. We’re told it’s a sign, a cosmic green light that we’ve found the one. But what if that rush isn’t leading us to love at all? What if it’s keeping us in a cycle of heartbreak, confusion, and unmet expectations? What if the real secret to love isn’t in the sparks, but in something deeper—something we create rather than just feel? This is exactly what we explore in my latest episode of Born to Be Free with the brilliant Alison Armstrong. She is not just a relationship expert, she’s a pioneer in understanding the intricate dynamics between men and women. With over two decades of research, her work, including The Queen’s Code, has transformed how people navigate love, dating, and commitment. In our conversation, she strips away the illusions we’ve been sold about love, revealing why we get stuck in destructive patterns, how we unconsciously sabotage intimacy, and how we can begin choosing relationships that truly nourish us. Together, we dismantle the myth of chemistry, exposing how it blinds us, tricks us into seeing what we want instead of what is, and often keeps us chasing love that isn’t real. We uncover the difference between fleeting passion and deep connection, the illusion that we must deserve love versus simply receiving it, and the silent expectations that sabotage relationships before they even begin. This episode isn’t just a conversation…it’s an invitation to shift how we approach love, to move from chasing sparks to building something unshakable. If you’ve ever felt pulled into love that fades too fast or wondered why attraction doesn’t always lead to fulfillment, this episode is for you. Listen now, and let’s rewrite the way we love—starting with the way we understand it. KEY NOTES: -Guest introduction: Alison Armstrong as a relationship expert who has studied men and women for over two decades -Sharada discovered Alison through Layla Martin’s podcast and felt deeply drawn to her work -Alison’s Approach & Teaching Philosophy -Her Journey into Relationship Studies -The Queen’s Code, a book that took over a decade to develop -Chemistry vs. Connection in Relationships -Alison’s upcoming YouTube series will cover Chemistry & Connection, explaining how to create, manage, and balance both. -The Trap of Feeling ‘Deserving’ in Love -The deserving equation leads to self-sabotage -Role of Expectations in Relationships -Restoration and healing require acknowledging both injuries and dishonors in relationships -Importance of self-forgiveness and breaking out of destructive emotional cycles -Alison’s future work & upcoming book sequel, The King’s Code ABOUT Alison Armstrong Alison Armstrong’s exploration of human behavior began in 1991, with her decision to study men: "To find out how I was bringing out the worst in them. And hopefully, how to bring out the best." Her success in understanding men naturally led to studying women’s behavior and making vital connections between the two. As her work evolved over decades, Alison now illuminates human characteristics that precede and express themselves regardless of gender, age, and upbringing. She distinguishes normal human instincts that compel both men and women to behave in ways that contradict and undermine our own purposes, goals, values, needs, and relationships. Besides fulfilling the need to understand why people behave as they do, Alison offers practical, partnership-based alternatives. Through her seminars, books, online programs, and media contributions, she has been giving millions of people access to more fulfilling lives, loving relationships, stronger families, and productive organizations. Alison is a sought-after speaker and thought leader among people with the desire to live empowered lives. Her philosophy and approach are referenced and taught by other authors, speakers, business consultants, and therapists. Sacred Purification & Spiritual Awakening with Ida Rsi & Mahā Devī | Ep 22

So much of our suffering comes from forgetting—forgetting our own light, our connection to the divine, the simplicity of happiness. We search for meaning, for healing, for something that will make us feel whole. But what if nothing was ever lost? What if purification is not just about cleansing, but about returning to the truth of our being? This is the wisdom that flowed through my conversation with two of Bali's most beloved spiritual leaders.. In this episode of Born to Be Free, I am joined by Ida Rsi Wisesanatha and Mahā Devī, a High Priest and High Priestess of Bali—guides, healers, and keepers of sacred wisdom. Their devotion to spiritual service is profound, rooted in an ancient lineage where the art of energetic realignment is not just a ritual, but a profound energetic process—one that clears the past, dissolves unnecessary energy, and creates space for true awakening. Ida Rsi explains that purification is about restoring balance—not just in this lifetime, but even through the unseen imprints of past experiences. It is a process of releasing, of un-skinning the soul, so that we may step closer to our true selves. Mahā Devī shares how, as a High Priestess, she moves through this work intuitively—feeling the energy of those she guides, sensing where the body and soul are calling for release. Through deep connection, through water, through intention, she guides others back to themselves. Because ultimately, purification is not about becoming something different. It is about returning to what has always been true. It is about dissolving the layers that have covered our light, the distractions that pull us away, the noise that makes us forget that happiness—real, unshakable happiness—is not something we need to chase. It is already here. "Happiness is already there. You don’t have to chase it—you just have to trust." How often do we complicate what is actually simple? How often do we chase after something that was within us all along? This conversation is an invitation—to purify, to remember, to return. If you have been feeling the pull to reconnect with yourself, to let go of the old and step into something lighter, this episode is for you. And for those who feel called to deepen their journey, Ida Rsi will also be part of the upcoming Priestess Initiation here in Swasti—bringing their sacred knowledge and presence to this powerful rite of passage. To learn from him in this way, to experience the depth of his wisdom and healing firsthand, is a rare and profound gift. The Truth About Menopause: A New Era of Feminine Power with Beta Gaiana | Ep 21

The Truth About Menopause: A New Era of Feminine Power with Gaiana  In this episode of Born To Be Free, I have the honor of welcoming back my dear friend, Beta Gaiana Radha Lisboa—a trauma therapist, family constellation therapist, and author of Women’s Embodiment Guide. Together, we dive into the topic of menopause and challenge the widespread narrative that it marks the decline of a woman’s radiance, libido, power, and status. In reality, it is the opposite. Across various traditions, menopause is recognized as a time of wisdom and empowerment—whether as vrddha in the Vedic tradition, the Amazon woman, the māgā, or the healer. This is a phase where women harness the fruits of their years of experience and step into their roles as wise elders, guiding the next generation. We also explore sacred sexuality and how, for Gaiana, menopause resurfaced unprocessed sexual trauma. Through deep healing practices, she found her inner power, realizing that she is more alive and vibrant than ever. Instead of being an ending, this phase became her “second spring,” as it is called in Taoist tradition. Another powerful transformation emerged from this period: Kanika, Gaiana’s temple-wear clothing brand, which she devoted three years to creating. This offering became an integral part of her journey, allowing her to honor this transition with grace and dignity—something many struggle with when menopause is not met with proper care, nourishment, and rest in earlier years. We also discuss the importance of rituals and rites of passage, marking each phase of life with sacred intention. This conversation is a powerful reminder that menopause is not an end—it is an initiation into deeper wisdom, sensuality, and embodied power. Key Notes - Menopause as Empowerment: Contrary to societal beliefs, menopause is a time of strength, radiance, and wisdom - Traditional Perspectives: The Vedic and other ancient traditions recognize this phase as entering the role of the wise woman, healer, or Amazon woman. - Sacred Sexuality & Healing: Gaiana’s journey included healing past trauma and discovering deeper sensuality and vitality. - “Second Spring”: In Taoist tradition, menopause is seen as a rebirth into new energy, rather than an end - Kanika – A Sacred Offering: The creation of her temple-wear brand helped Gaiana move through this transition with grace and purpose. - The Role of Ritual: Rites of passage and sacred ceremonies are essential for honoring life transitions. - Preparation is Key: Menopause is easier when the years of bleeding are met with proper rest, nourishment, and self-care.

Against all Odds: Sacred Synchronicities & Reclaiming Joy with Vivien Ji | Ep 20

Have you ever felt life gently nudging you in a certain direction, through a chance encounter, a perfectly timed moment, or an unexplained pull in your heart? These moments, however subtle, carry the potential to reshape our lives when we learn to trust them—whispering ancient wisdom that our souls somehow recognize. In this week's episode of Born to Be Free, I am honored to welcome the luminous Vivien, a sister, a student, and a radiant soul whose story is a testament to resilience, self-love, and the sacred dance of surrender. Her journey unfolds like a masterpiece of human spirit, where heartbreak and challenges transformed into the very foundation of a life overflowing with abundance and sovereignty. At just 24 years old, Vivien faced an ectopic pregnancy—a devastating experience that not only threatened her physical existence but left her with the heartbreaking prognosis that she might never conceive naturally. This news could have shattered her world into irreparable pieces, but instead, it marked the beginning of a profound transformation. She turned inward, seeking healing through the ancient wisdom of yoga, purifying detox practices, and sacred rituals, which eventually led her to defy medical odds and become the mother of two beautiful boys. But her story isn't only about overcoming physical challenges; it's about reclaiming her inner power in its most raw and authentic form. Vivien shares how she once lost herself in the labyrinth of relationships, pouring all her love and energy into others while suppressing her own wild, creative essence. A pivotal moment came when she chose to embrace celibacy—not as a rejection of connection, but as a radical act of self-love that would reshape her entire understanding of relationships. It wasn't just about abstaining. It was about bringing all the love and attention you had been giving to others back to yourself. It was about reclaiming sovereignty. This decision allowed her to heal deeply ingrained patterns of overgiving and set boundaries, especially within relationships that didn't align with her highest self. Vivien shares how she often suppressed her wild woman and lover archetypes to maintain harmony, only to realize that doing so stifled her creativity, joy, and the very essence of who she was meant to be. Along the way, Vivien found herself guided by synchronicities and sacred encounters that reflected the inner work she needed to embrace —like meeting a German engineer on a plane who spoke of cosmic love or crossing paths with a woman whose story mirrored her own struggles with self-worth and boundaries. These chance encounters became divine messages, reminding her of the wisdom and courage she already held within. Her transformation reached a profound depth during The Nectar of You immersion I recently hosted in Portugal. Surrounded by sisters and held in the embrace of sacred rituals, Vivien shed old fears and limiting beliefs that had weighed her down for years. She describes the experience as a reclamation of her wild, creative essence and a return to her own inner nectar—a wellspring of joy, power, and self-worth that had always been within her, waiting to be remembered. But there's so much more to this story than words can capture. How does one describe the moment when a woman realizes she's been living in the shallow waters of life when an ocean of possibility awaits? What really happens when we stop dimming our light to make others comfortable? Join us for this raw, unfiltered conversation that dares to ask: What becomes possible when we finally trust the whispers of our soul? Let Vivien's journey be your invitation to dive deeper into your own mystery—to reclaim your power, trust your intuition, and remember that sometimes, the most profound healing begins with a simple act of coming home to yourself. KEYNOTES: Guest introduction : Vivien Ji Trusting divine timing and recognizing synchronicities were pivotal in Vivien’s journey. An ectopic pregnancy at 24 sparked Vivien’s journey of physical, emotional, and spiritual transformation. Encounters with mentors, retreats, and unexpected connections illuminated her path toward healing and transformation. Yoga, detox, and spiritual practices helped Vivien reclaim her health, feminine energy, and self-worth. Coaching became her calling, integrating holistic modalities to empower herself and others Reconnecting with suppressed feminine archetypes She speaks of “travel angels,” unseen forces she trusts to guide her during her journeys Celibacy and self-love allowed her to heal relationships, set boundaries, and align with her truth. Vivien joined Sharada’s Nectar of You Immersion in Portugal where it helped her release limiting beliefs, face her fears, and embody her truest divine feminine power True sovereignty is leading oneself to empowerment and serving others with love and purpose   ABOUT Vivien Ji Vivien Ji is a leader in holistic detox healing arts and the founder of Lifeblooms. With over 15 years of experience and more than 10,000 hours of coaching as an ICF Professional Certified Coach, she empowers individuals through personal growth and transformation. A certified yoga teacher with 19 years of practice, Vivien is also a certified vegan raw food chef, juice detox practitioner, and Ayurvedic naturopath trainer. Reclaiming the Power of Your Voice with Marlia Coeur | Ep 19

Your voice is more than a sound—it’s a bridge to something greater, a tool for healing, connection, and awakening. When you truly connect to your body and allow it to lead, your voice becomes a beacon of trust, a source of unwavering confidence, and a pathway to your deepest truths. I am delighted to share this deeply inspiring episode of the Born to Be Free podcast with you. I sit under the banyan tree with my sacred sister, Marlia Coeur—an extraordinary musician, soul writer, and priestess. Her journey is a profound reflection of resilience, transformation, and the magic of reconnecting with our true selves. Marlia speaks with such authenticity about the moments that shaped her path. She shares how the non-recognition from her parents and the heartbreak of being denied her dream of studying at Berkeley University became catalysts for her evolution. Through every obstacle, Marlia discovered that the wisdom of her body and the healing power of her voice were her greatest allies. “It has always been here,” she says. “And for me, that’s a beautiful and powerful constant that keeps on traveling with me and gives me the trust and this unwavering confidence that no matter what, when you are really connected to the body, to the voice, they will guide you.” Her story is an invitation to see our voice as more than sound. It is a sacred tool for healing, a bridge to reclaim our power, and a portal to connect with the divine. Marlia’s journey of vocal activation reminds us that the voice is medicine—raw, potent, and transformative. Blending her Cypriot and Greek heritage with influences from Indian ragas, Middle Eastern melodies, and ancient sound practices, Marlia has crafted a path of deep healing and connection. Her voice carries not only the echoes of her ancestors but the universal rhythms of prayer, song, and the sacred. If her story speaks to your soul, I warmly invite you to join us in Bali this March for The Priestess Initiation Training, an 18-day transformative journey from birth to death. Marlia will join us as a facilitator and priestess, sharing her gifts of vocal activation, sacred music, and embodiment practices. Together, we will immerse ourselves in rituals, rites of passage, and the profound healing power of sound. Listen to this episode to experience the depth of Marlia’s journey. If it stirs something within you, take the next step and join us in Bali. Rewilding Our Lives: Embracing Sacred Cycles with Disa Mineur | Ep 17

For generations, we’ve been molded by the expectations of a patriarchal society that values productivity over presence, linear progress over natural rhythms. This domestication has disconnected us from our true essence, training us to ignore the deeper wisdom of our bodies and conform to paths that don’t always serve us. But there is another way to live—one that breaks free from these constraints and reclaims our connection to the sacred cycles that guide us. Today, I’m absolutely thrilled to have my dear friend, and student- Disa Mineur on the Born to Be Free podcast. Disa is a remarkable woman from Sweden, whose life’s work is dedicated to sacred cycles and natural fertility awareness. She has spent over a decade helping others reconnect with their bodies’ natural rhythms. She also joined my mentorship program ‘ The Diamond’ to further deepen her journey. Her path is not just about the teachings she shares—it’s the life she has lived. She embodies what it means to truly embrace the fullness of being human, and I have so much admiration for her courage and wisdom. Disa’s path has been filled with challenges, yet it’s these very struggles that shaped her into the powerful woman she is today. When she wanted to start a family, she faced the devastating reality of infertility, and then came a diagnosis of severe cervical dysplasia. In that moment, when doctors told her the only option was surgery, something deep within her awakened. She chose not to follow the conventional path but instead trusted in her own inner wisdom. Disa turned to holistic healing, diving into the depths of fertility awareness and the natural cycles of the body. Her journey became about so much more than overcoming a health condition…it was about reclaiming her body and her power. She didn’t just heal; she found herself. Rewilding is a beautiful process of returning to life as it was meant to be lived—raw, real, and deeply attuned to the natural cycles that flow through us. It’s about embracing the ebb and flow, the moments of rest and growth, the darkness and the light, and finding harmony within these rhythms. By stepping away from the rigid paths that have been laid out for us, we open ourselves to a new way of living—one that honors the wisdom embedded in our bodies and respects the sacredness of each phase we move through. It’s an invitation to reclaim our connection to nature, to our own instincts, and to live in a way that feels authentic, whole, and truly alive. I invite you to join me in this heartfelt and deeply moving conversation with Disa on the Born to Be Free podcast. If you’ve ever felt disconnected from your body or yearned for a more authentic way to live, this episode will resonate with you. Together, we explore what it means to reclaim your power, to rewild your spirit, and to embrace a life where you are truly free.   KEY NOTES: Introduction of guest, Disa Mineur Studied sacred cycles and natural fertility awareness for over 10 years How patriarchal society suppresses awareness of sacred cycles, menstruation, and natural fertility The importance of rewilding and reclaiming connection to sacred cycles to combat domestication and patriarchal influences Trained in the Justisse Method Disa's fascination with history, human evolution, and women's roles She ties rewilding to embracing primal energies, or "ursinnet" (Swedish for primal sense), which reconnects individuals to their innate power. Experienced a challenging upbringing with dysfunctional alcoholism in the family Experienced infertility and severe cervical dysplasia (precursor to cervical cancer) motivated her to explore holistic health and natural fertility. Refused conventional medical treatment and self-healed through nutrition, supplements, and holistic approaches Sacred cycles and their importance in women's lives Pleasure as a compass Fertility awareness as a tool for empowerment and intimacy Used fertility awareness in her own journey to pregnancy Disa's work, programs, and offerings     ABOUT DISA MINEUR Disa Mineur is a Wild Woman who bridges the primitive and untamed with the modern world, living as a cyclical influence in a linear culture. For over a decade, she has explored the power of sacred cycles, helping herself and others reclaim the strength found in the ebb and flow of life. Her journey has taken her from sickness to health, infertility to fertility, and domestication to wildness. As a trained Fertility Awareness Educator, Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner, Vaginal Steam Facilitator, and Earthing Guide, Disa dedicates her life to guiding others towards hormonal and cyclic harmony through courses, retreats, and personal sessions, while honoring her body's connection to the Earth through ceremony and deep commitment. From Vision Quests to Fatherhood: The Path to Wholeness with Sky | Ep 15

What if true freedom isn’t something we need to strive for, but something we already are, to be discovered as an already accomplished fact here and now? In this deeply reflective episode of Born to Be Free, we explore the idea that self-acceptance and inner freedom aren’t about becoming more or better, but about uncovering the wholeness of our true nature. The journey toward this understanding is not through perfection, but through recognizing that we are lovable and enough, just as we are. Joining me is Akasha Sky, a devoted yogi, teacher, and spiritual seeker who has spent 34 years on the path of personal and spiritual growth. As the founder of Sama Yoga, Sky has guided thousands of students through the transformative practice of yoga and Vedanta, a philosophy that teaches us how to understand our true nature. With the wisdom of his teachers, particularly Swami Dayananda, Sky embodies the timeless truths of Vedanta, merging the ancient teachings with the realities of modern life. In this conversation, Sky opens up about his spiritual journey, from the mountains of his youth to the forests of India, where he discovered a deeper purpose through Vedanta. He shares the profound experiences that shaped him, including embarking on vision quests before deciding to become a father, and the lessons he's learned about patience, service, and love through raising his two sons. His reflections on navigating family life while maintaining a spiritual practice offer both wisdom and relatability, as he talks about the delicate balance between personal growth and the responsibility of being fully present for others. Life doesn’t demand perfection from us, does it? It just asks us to meet ourselves exactly where we’re at, flaws, strengths, and everything in between... Growth and freedom often come not from changing who we are, but from understanding and embracing who we have always been. If you’re ready to reflect on your own journey of self-acceptance and discover how to find freedom in simply being, this episode is for you. Tune in to hear Sky's soulful insights, and let this conversation remind you that true freedom is already within your reach, waiting to be embraced. Orgasmic Birth & Living Life Orgasmically with Lovisa Dahl | Ep 14

Many of us have been taught to fear birth, to expect trauma and pain... But what if we could flip that narrative? What if birth wasn’t something to endure, but a gateway to profound ecstasy, healing, and transformation? What if we could meet life’s greatest intensities—not with fear—but with trust, surrender, and even pleasure? In this special episode of Born to Be Free, I’m joined by my dear friend and soul sister, Lovisa Dahl, an extraordinary woman who has redefined what it means to give birth. Lovisa is an orgasmic birthing practitioner, biodynamic healer, and Vedic wisdom teacher. She courageously shares her deeply personal journey of experiencing orgasmic birth—where childbirth became an act of liberation rather than pain, an initiation into deeper power and pleasure rather than suffering. Through her two orgasmic births, Lovisa learned to embrace the power of her body, allowing herself to feel pleasure even in moments of intensity. Through sacred preparation, connecting deeply with her body, and creating a supportive environment, she turned birth into a sacred act of creation, not just of life, but of healing and empowerment. Our conversation also touched on something so many of us face—shame. Lovisa bravely opens up about how shame kept her silent about her experiences, afraid of judgment in a society that views birth as something painful, clinical, or even traumatic. It wasn’t until she joined The Diamond Mentorship Program that she began to peel back those layers of shame and fully embrace her truth. This mentorship gave her the strength to share her story with the world—an act of courage and empowerment that I know will resonate with so many of you. This episode isn’t just about birth—it’s about how we can reclaim pleasure and joy in every part of our lives. Lovisa’s story is a beautiful reminder that, just as with birth, we have the power to choose how we live—in fear or in pleasure. We can surrender to the natural flow of life, trust our bodies, and discover deeper joy and freedom in ways we might never have thought possible. I invite you to watch or listen to this episode and reflect on how you, too, can embrace life’s greatest intensities with love, trust, and the possibility of ecstasy.   SHOW NOTES: Introduction of guest, Lovisa Dahl Defining Orgasmic Birthing Lovisa shares that she has experienced two orgasmic births out of her three births, explaining that orgasmic birth can be an ecstatic, pleasurable, or orgasmic experience, and it's not limited to a physical orgasm. Reframing birth as a natural, intense experience rather than focusing on pain Preparation for Orgasmic Birth Pleasure plays an essential role in birth preparation and during the birth process How to release oxytocin, the love hormone that facilitates contractions Lovisa shares her preference for home births Lovisa shares that orgasmic birth helped her heal from childhood sexual trauma. Both birth and orgasm require deep surrender Lovisa joined the Diamond mentorship program with Sharada to explore her power and release shame surrounding orgasmic birth. Societal shame and stigma around sex, money, and power Orgasmic Living & meeting life with pleasure instead of suffering Upcoming events, courses, and retreats   ABOUT LOVISA DAHL Lovisa Dahl is a birth mentor and Orgasmic Birth Practitioner dedicated to healing earth through birth. By empowering women to embrace pleasure, sacred sexuality and ritual she offers a unique way to prepare for birth. Healing Shame and Embracing Freedom with Nathalie Sommer | Ep 13

What are you really scared of? These words echo through the quiet spaces of our hearts, challenging us to confront the fears that keep us small. In this powerful episode of Born to Be Free, I invite you to join me on a journey of deep introspection and liberation. Together with my dear friend and guest, Nathalie Sommer, an intimacy coach and Erotic Blueprint therapist, we unravel the complexities of shame, vulnerability, and the courage it takes to truly embrace our full selves. Nathalie’s story is one of incredible transformation. Recently, she joined The Diamond, my Mistress/Mastermind Group Mentorship Program, a six-month intimate group where we polish the diamonds that we are, stripping away the layers of fear and shame that dim our brilliance. It’s a sacred container where a small group of like-minded individuals come together to support, challenge, and uplift one another. In this space, we dig deep into the shadows of our past, confront the parts of ourselves we’ve been too afraid to face, and emerge on the other side more whole, more radiant, and more free. In our conversation, Nathalie opens up about how The Diamond helped her reconnect with her true self. She shares her struggle with vulnerability and the deep-seated shame that often accompanies it. Within the safety of our group, she found the courage to be fully seen and heard, to express the parts of herself that she had kept hidden for so long. We delve into the heart of relationships - how to find freedom within them, rather than being enslaved by societal expectations. Nathalie’s raw honesty shines through as we discuss the shame that still clings to separation and divorce, despite the progress of our times. We challenge the outdated belief that marriage must be forever, and explore how ending a relationship can be an act of profound self-respect and growth. This episode is more than just a conversation… it’s an invitation. An invitation to look within, to question the narratives that bind us, and to step into a life where we are truly free. Whether you’re wrestling with your own vulnerability, seeking to break free from the chains of shame, or yearning for deeper, more authentic relationships, this episode holds the keys to unlocking your true potential. Join us in this intimate and transformative discussion. Let it be the catalyst that guides you toward a life of unapologetic authenticity and boundless freedom.KEY NOTES: Introduction of guest, Nathalie Sommer Sharada and Nathalie’s friendship for over 30 years Nathalie's journey leaving Switzerland as a teenager, living in Australia, Hong Kong, and Spain Reconnected together : Nathalie joined Sharada's "The Diamond" Mentorship program How The Diamond program helped her embrace her sexuality and vulnerability Importance of safe spaces to explore and share sexual energy and desires Moving from shame to liberation Nathalie speaks about her past relationships, including her marriage, and how she navigated her needs and core values. Sacred Transitions: Journey to Feminine Empowerment & Spiritual Awakening with Filipa Veiga | Ep 12

How do we, especially as women, navigate sacred transitions in life such as relationships, womanhood, and motherhood? How do we find support and empower the feminine during these pivotal moments? These are the profound questions we explore in the latest episode of the Born to be Free podcast, featuring the radiant Filipa Veiga. Filipa, a dear sister, student, friend, and dynamic spiral Yin yoga teacher, joins me to share her remarkable journey from traditional careers in journalism and law to embracing the sacred feminine and sacred sexuality teachings. Her story is one of profound transformation and inspiration, offering a glimpse into the power of aligning with one's true essence. In our conversation, Filipa and I delve into the importance of embracing change and navigating life's transitions with grace. From her early influences growing up in Asia to discovering Ayurveda and its impact on her health, Filipa shares how aligning her daily routines with nature's rhythms has brought balance and harmony to her life. She also shares her experiences in my Diamond Mistress/Mastermind Mentorship program. After ending an almost 20-year marriage, Filipa found the support and therapy she needed within this high-level container. It was her first time participating in a mastermind, and it turned out to be a beautiful journey. Surrounded by an amazing and incredible group of people, Filipa felt inspired and empowered. The Diamond program provided her with tools and rituals that supported her through these transitions. The sense of community, where everybody supports everybody, provided her with new strength, clarity, and a deeper connection to her true self. Filipa beautifully articulates her experiences with all these sacred transitions; personal growth, motherhood, and relationship shifts. We explore how these transitions, though often challenging, can lead to profound self-discovery and empowerment. By embracing these changes and seeking support from our community, we can navigate our paths with greater strength and clarity, ultimately finding deeper connections to ourselves and others. I am also thrilled to announce that Filipa will be hosting me in our upcoming immersion, "The Nectar of You," in Portugal. This seven-day retreat will focus on sacred union and deepening personal relationships, exploring archetypes and sacred sexuality in a nurturing environment. Together, we will embrace, with the help of the teachings, seeing your natural nature as that nectar, that essence of this whole universe, the love that is you. We will also bring in the embodiment of sacred sexuality practices and other incredible tools that help us fully embrace this human life on all levels, with its experiences and whatever comes with it. I invite you to listen to this deeply enriching episode and reflect on the profound messages of sacred transitions and interconnectedness. Let us continue to support and inspire each other, shining brightly and embracing the infinite possibilities within us. As always, your presence and participation in this journey mean the world to me.SHOW NOTES: Filipa Veiga’s introduction From journalism and law to how she is now an advocate of sacred feminine and sacred sexuality teachings Exposure to cultural practices like Tai Chi Shifting from a career in law to pursuing yoga Exploring various yoga styles and finding a feminine approach Discovering Ayurveda to support her health and lifestyle Balancing travel with grounding practices Synchronizing lifestyle with nature’s rhythms and Ayurvedic practices for well-being Engaging in online courses focused on feminine spirituality Participation in rituals and practices that emphasize the sacred feminine Met Sharada during an online course, and how she became attracted to Sharada’s feminine-focused teachings Filipa joined Sharada’s Diamond Mentorship for support during personal transitions Navigating significant life changes and relationship shifts Balancing motherhood and personal growth Filipa’s new life vision, focusing on feminine teachings and supporting other women Filipa’s role in organizing and participating in spiritual festivals Importance of festivals in building community and fostering spiritual growth Future plans for organizing festivals and retreats in Portugal The Nectar of You : Filipa Veiga hosting Sharada’s upcoming 7-day immersion in Portugal - focusing on sacred union and deepening relationships, exploring archetypes and sacred sexuality & emphasis on holistic well-being, including Āyurvedic food and Vedic astrology Filipa writing her second book focused on the feminine   About Uma Filipa (Filipa Veiga) Woman, Mother, Ceremonialist, Spiritual mentor & Published Author. Coming from a Portuguese family and growing up in south-east Asia led me, from a tender age, to appreciate different spiritual traditions and ultimately the curiosity for the unseen realm. After studying Law and being a TV reporter for several years, the yoga came strong in my life and opened the portal to the discovery of the ancient Vedic wisdom. Ritualising Life | 6

“I’m back in Switzerland after 22 years, and it’s a very special moment. It’s snowing, and I’m beginning this new season of the Born to Be Free podcast. I want to dedicate this season to the magic, the profound blessing, and the world of rituals. Ritual has been a part of my life for a very long time, and it has changed me in every possible way. I’ve discovered that we can ritualize our life, recognizing that everything is a given. Everything here is grace, a gift from the Universe, from the Goddess, from God. When we see what we have, we can’t help but feel gratitude for what is given. We realize that everything is grace. Meaning, we aren’t really in control of anything. We can have wishes, desires, dreams, but we never know what we’ll actually receive or if we’ll accomplish what we want to accomplish, fulfill our desires. And so, the outcome is given by the universe. Everything is given. We only have a say over our actions. I can choose to act, to refrain, or to act differently. We have free will. And in the Vedic tradition, it’s said that the most powerful way to use our free will is in prayer. So, what are we praying to? What are we not praying to? This Universe is an infinite, intelligent being. It’s alive, filled with infinite knowledge. The more we know, the more we realize how much we don’t know. We call this Universe Jagat, the world that comes and goes. In the Vedic tradition, we have many names for this world. We also refer to this world as the Goddess, Devi, or the God, Deva - from the Sanskrit root ‘Dev’, meaning to shine, to be self-luminous. Thus, the Goddess is she who shines, she who is self-existent; Deva is he who shines, he who exists. God is God, needing nothing else for its existence. This whole universe is, as we call it, Devi or Deva. This is how the Goddess, how God is, in the form of this magnificent universe, starting with space. Where is space not? Without space, nothing exists; it accommodates all beings. We have the air, especially here in Davos, where it’s so wonderful to breathe because the air is really fresh. So, we have the goddess in the form of air. We get to breathe, to feel the cold, the heat. We have fire, the Goddess, God in the form of fire, the heat, the sun, without which we cannot see anything. And we have water. Imagine life without water. Because of water, we can taste, and we have the earth. Because of the earth, we can smell. Thus, we’re constantly experiencing the Goddess, God through existing, hearing, speaking, feeling, seeing, smelling, tasting. However, we’re often not aware of this because we’ve been told that the Goddess, God, or God is something else. Who talks about the Goddess? She’s been long forgotten but is now reemerging. We’ve mainly talked about the God that most people are introduced to as sitting up in the sky, judging us. Such a concept of God is not very trustworthy, leading many to dismiss God altogether because the image we’ve been given is not believable. In the Vedic tradition, we don’t just believe in God or the Goddess; we seek to know, to understand, to discover God, Goddess in everything and everyone, including ourselves. Discovering that God, Goddess is, that you are God, I am God, and all that is here is God, means recognizing that all is sacred, nothing is profane. We are in a constant state of prayer, of gratitude, grateful for waking up each morning, for our legs that carry us, for the water that cleanses us. There’s consciousness in every action, a realization that nothing can be taken for granted. Ritualizing our life is a beautiful way to stay in touch with the reality that everything here is given, is grace, is sacred. It makes life meaningful, purposeful, and allows us to enter the magic that always is. I learned from my teacher and lineage to ritualize my life, from waking until bedtime, maintaining a state of prayer because we cannot take anything for granted. When we are in prayer, our hearts grow, open up. An open heart is what we all desire, as opposed to a closed heart that leads to isolation, loneliness, and depression. Shutting down our heart also shuts down our capacity to feel joy and gratitude. Gratitude and love are the most beautiful feelings, bringing peace and a sense of limitlessness. And that is what we are: limitless. The Vedic vision helps us see our limitless nature. Ritualizing our life helps us discover this truth, to feel again, to enter the sacred beauty of life. Sacred beauty, to me, is accepting ourselves, the most attractive form of self-acceptance. This episode is dedicated to rituals. The Vedic tradition celebrates the sacredness of life in various forms all year long, celebrating goddesses, gods, and the gift of life. One such celebration is Navaratri, dedicated to Durga, ‘she who takes away pain,’ also known as the great Mother. It reminds us of the pain passed down through generations due to a lack of self-knowledge. Durga, however, knows she is limitless, whole, complete, embodying self-acceptance and thus able to accept everyone. Her qualities are truly admirable. Durga’s many qualities are celebrated during Navaratri, the nine nights dedicated to her, symbolizing the celebration of life’s gift in countless forms throughout the year in India. ” In the Vedic tradition, it is said: “Yad Bhavam Tad Bhavati,” which means “as you admire, so you become.” When we admire Durga, the goddess who embodies qualities such as the removal of pain, acceptance, unconditional love, non-judgment, and absolute validation, we start to emulate these attributes. During Navaratri, the nine nights dedicated to the goddess, we worship Durga through rituals, creating a beautiful altar symbolic of the universe, and offering gifts like flowers, incense, honey, oil essence, fruits & anything else our hearts would like to offer. This period is a time of self-inquiry and spiritual practice, aimed at neutralizing judgments and unhealthy patterns that hinder our emotional and spiritual growth. Navaratri is a sacred time for reflecting on and practicing Dharma, which refers to the principles that sustain and uphold life through universal values such as Ahimsa (non-harming) and Satyam (truthfulness). Engaging in these practices helps to neutralize unhealthy patterns and cultivate spiritual wealth, which can manifest in auspicious situations in this life or future ones. It is a time for recognizing the importance of Dharma in protecting us from harm and guiding us towards truth and love. The festival also provides an opportunity to process pain and emotions through the invocation of goddesses like Durga and Kali, embracing all emotions as sacred. Through rituals, dance, music, and art, Navaratri encourages the expression of these emotions in healthy ways, leading to transformation and growth. For the past four years, the Devi school has celebrated Navaratri through an online festival, bringing together a community of individuals from around the world to participate in spiritual practices and workshops. This celebration has fostered growth and transformation, demonstrating the profound impact of opening oneself to the teachings and rituals of Navaratri. Returning to Sacred Erotic Innocence with Beta Gaiana Lisboa | 5

The inaugural season of the Born to Be Free Podcast has just wrapped up, and I'm thrilled to announce the launch of Season 2. Kicking things off, I'm joined by my dear heart sister, Beta Gaiana Lisboa—a Trauma Therapist, Menopause Mentor, Kanika Temple Wear Designer, and the author of the Embodiment Guide for Women. Together, we dive into a controversial discussion that is bound to ignite diverse viewpoints. At the heart of being free lies sexual freedom—the liberty to express oneself wholly, untethered by societal dictations of dignity. In this vast universe, nothing is profane; everything is sacred. We enter this world as sacred, sexually free beings, indulging in self-pleasure even within our mothers' wombs. The natural curiosity an infant has to explore their body embodies the sacred innocence many of us have regrettably lost. As children, our play knows no bounds until the moment an adult intervenes, admonishing our self-exploration or our interactions with peers, imprinting a deep wound. This trauma often follows us into adulthood, where we conceal our sexual desires and fantasies. Closing the door on our erotic innocence means shutting out our boundless, orgasmic creative potential. Sexual energy is not only healing and empowering but profoundly sacred. May this episode reignites your spark of Eros and nudges you one step closer to true freedom. Show Notes • Return to Erotic Innocence • The Healing Nature of Sacred Play Dates• Shutdown in Early Age • Projections of Society and People • The Fear of Being Judged and Rejected• Healing the Shame of Being a Sexual Being• The Myth of Black Magic• Why Trauma Healing Alone Is Not Enough• Adding Pleasure as the Key to Heal Our Traumas• Integrating Spirituality and Pleasure with Trauma Healing• Making Love to One’s Pain and Shame• Discovering One’s Orgasmic Pain, Orgasmic Shame• Becoming a Trauma-Informed, Pleasure-Based DEVI Coach with Devi School• The Launch of Gaiana’s First Book: The Embodiment Guide for Women • Kanika Temple Wear - Wearing Your Blessings Beta Gaiana Lisboa’s Bio is a passionate Brazilian spiritual seeker, founder of Dynamic Spiral Yin Fascial Yoga, a fascia awareness yoga system. When The Student is ready the Teacher appears | 4

When the student is ready, the teacher appears.   Welcome to the 4th and final episode of Season 1 of the new podcast, 'Born to Be Free.'   The life of becoming happy, compared to being in a hamster wheel—constantly moving yet not going anywhere—is called 'Samsara' in Sanskrit.   It is astonishing how many times we go through the same scenario until we truly learn our lessons.  There is a saying, 'Repetition makes the master.' Just like life, which gives us objectivity through countless momentary experiences, all meant to serve as a playground for us to see where we have projected our happiness onto something other than ourselves.   Every situation is meant to help us grow. No situation is ever here to make life difficult. Only we, as humans, make it difficult for ourselves.  In this recognition that, in reality, life is simple and yet the struggle seems endless, in this recognition of despair or in a moment when we lose control, we can become fit for a spiritual life.   The moment we ask for support, the moment we open our hearts to the mystery of life, the moment we let our guards down, the signal sent out into the universe is registered, and the response is already on its way. 'When the student is ready, the teacher appears.'  And so it is.  No knowledge will be truly received unless we ask for it.  The teachings of the Vedic Tradition reveal the Vision of Wholeness.  From the standpoint of the universe, you are whole; there is nothing wrong with you.  So, there is no savior or agenda from the side of the universe to preach or to indoctrinate anyone.  On the contrary, the teaching is only given when it is asked for. This is profoundly beautiful because, in that agendalessness, there is trust, and there is room for growth and space for knowledge to take place; in other words, self-ignorance can be removed.   I am not my experience. I am not my mind. I am not my judgments. I am not even my knowledge.  I am free from everything.  Everything is me.   A sacred mirror in words that reveals the truth of our limitless existence.  In deepest gratitude to my lineage, to my teachers, and to the Goddess.   I offer this podcast in deepest reverence, with a prayer in my heart for freedom and true happiness for all beings.  May all beings be happy. May all beings be free from pain. May all beings see the sacred in each other. May all suffering be destroyed.   May the river of knowledge continue to flow on and restore purpose and meaning to life to thousands and thousands of people.   With love. "We Are All One" - My Spiritual Awakening | 3

Welcome to this third episode, where I share my first spiritual awakening experience at the age of 18 during my trip to India. I was young, open, in search of eternal happiness, and admittedly naive. Nothing could hold me back. Determined to visit India, I journeyed with my older friend, who guided me through the most wonderful places from the North to Rajasthan. We spent days and weeks immersing ourselves in the culture, the land, seeking inspiration and answers to life’s questions.   During my journey, I picked up a book titled "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse, which described the story of a boy unable to find true, lasting happiness and answers to the fundamental questions of life. He became my hero, and I imitated him in all his actions. I began to fast, meditate, cease speaking, and gave away my belongings, just like Siddhartha, learning to live the simple life of a Sadhu—a kind, wise person with deep respect for causing the least harm and disturbance to the environment. At that time, I was in the mesmerizing city of Pushkar, a revered place of worship for many devotees.   Taken by its beauty and guided by a priest to the mountains, I was welcomed by a group of Sadhus ready to initiate me into realms where the veil of separation is dissolved. That's when I had my first spiritual awakening. It struck me like a thunderbolt. Suddenly, the veil of duality was lifted, revealing the truth: We are all one. The truth of our existence is that we are Love. All suffering is not real and doesn’t belong to me. I saw that our experiences do not define us and that the purpose of life is to discover our freedom, in other words, our essential wholeness. The experience was so profound that it lingered for weeks & impacted my entire life. Nothing would ever be the same again. However, at that time, it was more than I could handle. There was a point where I couldn’t differentiate between shared reality and my own projected reality. In Western medicine, this would be called psychosis, which is really just the psyche’s longing to heal itself. Many factors, such as ungroundedness, unresolved pain and trauma from the past, a new environment, literal interpretations of the book's teachings instead of understanding them as metaphors, a parasite, the influence of plant medicine without proper guidance, etc., resulted in the overwhelming nature of the spiritual awakening, which required intervention and surveillance as I could have potentially hurt myself.   With the proper support and guidance of a shaman or medicine woman, one can return to a state of equilibrium without any Western medication, using time-proven and ancient tools and ways to integrate such an experience. In my case, I was sent to a mental hospital, and for a few months, I was in recuperation, given medication that shut down my whole system. Within weeks, the experience started to dissipate, and I literally turned into a ghost. I could barely eat, walk, or brush my teeth. Nevertheless, my heart knew I had discovered the truth. Nothing could convince me otherwise, not even the doctors who told me I would never have a normal life again and would be on medication for the rest of my life. I was determined to discover what had happened and to find answers to my spiritual awakening. After a few months of a solid routine, attending different kinds of therapies, I begged my parents to let me go, as I saw no way out or any hope of true recuperation there. With my parents' blessings, I left for South America, as I wasn’t ready to return to India yet. I knew the time would come, but not just yet. First, I delved into the shamanic world of temazcal, sweat lodges, and started to collaborate with a foundation in Venezuela, where I stayed for 5 years serving the community. I was mentored by a beautiful woman named Elsbeth and found a yoga community where I adopted a healthy, stable routine and regained a healthy self-image.   And the day came when I was ready to leave South America and return to India to find answers to what had happened to me on my first trip. What happened then will be continued… Tune in for the fourth episode, "When the Student Is Ready, the Teacher Appears."   Follow Sharada Devi Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sharada_devi_school/ Website: https://www.devischool.info/ You are born with a purpose. The Eternal Search for Happiness | 2

The Eternal Search for Happiness Welcome to the first season of the "Born to Be FREE" Podcast with Sharada Devi, which launches with four episodes. This is the 2nd episode of this brand new podcast. "I grew up in a place that many consider to be a dreamland, maybe even paradise: mountain peaks, vast snow land, crystalline waters, and the freshest air. I was 13 years old when I decided to take my life. This is my story of how I went from being in survival mode to becoming a thriving person who adores and appreciates life with all her heart. We didn’t come here to suffer and struggle. We all came here to be truly happy. And yet, for most people, what happiness truly means and how to attain it remains a mystery. Growing up in a Western myth, we cannot help but drown. We were told that lasting happiness is to be found in marriage, becoming a parent, striving for a successful career, and the accumulation of wealth and fame. This is not true, and we all know it. We know because we have tried it. Some have succeeded in achieving these goals and yet are still not happy. Others have failed terribly and loathe themselves, subconsciously believing they must not be worthy or capable, so there must be something wrong, all while struggling with life through a myriad of coping mechanisms. Until one day, the proverbial shit hits the fan, and we can no longer continue with life as it has been: - Burnout - Depression - Cancer - Divorce - Death - Affairs You name it... and the shame that one carries is unbearable, so the last resort is suicide. Deciding to take one's own life indicates that all hope is gone. One doesn’t see a way out to live happily. We all want to live. But not in despair and sorrow. No, we desire to live happily because this is our nature. Happiness is your nature. Ānanda, or fullness, is what you are. In this discovery that you are absolute happiness, you are a free person."   Follow Sharada Devi Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sharada_devi_school/ Website: https://www.devischool.info/ You are born with a purpose. Freedom from pain, shame, guilt, a sense of inadequacy, and everything we don't want is discussed. Freedom is not found outside of oneself but as the very self. Guided by her nearly two decades of sacred study and teaching, she adeptly handles a subtle topic with great skill and devotion. This ensures that anyone, whether just starting their spiritual journey, an advanced practitioner, or simply someone who desires freedom, can gain profound insights into the fundamental problem and its solution. Born to be FREE

Freedom is my religion. Truth is my legacy. Love is my war. I am the creator. I am the sustainer. I am the destroyer. I am birth. I am sustenance. I am death. I am everything. But no thing. I am all. But never fall. I am free But kept bound. Unless I am ready to fly and see for myself what no one else Can do for me Only I Can liberate me. Born to be FREE.

ABOUT THIS SHOW

The highest purpose of life is to discover the truth of our radiant, erotic, and limitless existence. Freedom is our nature, wholeness our self, limitlessness our reality, and erotic aliveness our magic. The "Born to be FREE" Podcast invites you on a journey to the sanctuary of your magnificent being, guided by my decades of devoted and committed studies, along with lived experience of the ancient, timeless, spiritual, non-dual teachings of the Vedic Tradition, as well as integrated holistic sacred sexuality. It serves as a bridge between the ancient and the new era, a confluence of opposites where all is seen as sacred, and every experience is meant to catapult us into our supreme destiny.A lifetime dedication in honor of the greatest gift of all times: the chance to gain freedom in this life and live a life that is outstanding, without any compromise to one's own well-being, while being in service to Love.
