Building His Church | Four12

Following God’s ways and patterns in building His church. A church’s success isn’t measured by how many people attend, how much money is raised, its reputation with the public, or even its good works. Jesus’ perspective is the only one that matters. We need to build a church that reflects the heart of God. This is a Four12 podcast.

What is the process for us, as saints, to have our needs met in church? In this practical message, Andrew Selley unpacks how God has designed His church to function when caring for people, drawing from Scripture and real-life experience. We are reminded that it begins with openness – speaking honestly and asking for help. At the same time, difficult conversations need to be embraced, as we take ownership and receive correction where needed. As Scripture shapes our expectations, we begin to understand where the church’s responsibility lies, and ours begins. This is a Four12 PodcastAbout the Speaker:Andrew Selley is the apostolic leader of Four12 (F12) and the lead elder of multisite, Joshua Generation Church. How We Are to Be Taught the Bible

Are you gaining knowledge—or actually being shaped into Christ’s likeness? Are we truly learning the way God intends, or simply gathering information? In this session, Andrew Selley challenges modern approaches to teaching and explores the biblical model of discipleship. Andrew contrasts information-driven learning with life-on-life transformation, showing how true growth happens through relationship, imitation, and intentional guidance. Drawing from Scripture and personal experience, he unpacks why proximity to godly leaders and practical application are essential for spiritual maturity. This session calls us beyond passive listening into active formation-reminding us that in God’s Kingdom, we are not consumers, but disciples being shaped for His glory. You Are Called to Greatness

What is holding you back from your purpose in God’s Kingdom? Are your beliefs limiting God’s plan for your life? In this message, Andrew Selley explains that God has chosen every believer to make an impact, but so often learned helplessness, fear, and unbelief hold us back from walking in our calling. Through Scripture, Andrew unpacks this astounding truth: in Christ, believers are called greater than John the Baptist and invited to do even greater works than Jesus. God has more for His church than passive faith and living comfortable lives – He has called us to inherit the nations. Redeeming Easter

Are we living in both God’s forgiveness and His resurrection? What is the true meaning of Easter? Here, Andrew Selley reminds us that the Apostle Paul calls the death and resurrection of Jesus “of first importance” (1 Corinthians 15v3-4) – it is the two legs our faith stands on. During Easter, we celebrate not only forgiveness through the cross, but also our transformation through His resurrection. These truths cause us to not only believe differently but live differently. Is our faith truly shaped by both forgiveness and resurrection power? This is a Four12 Podcast About the Speaker: Andrew Selley is the apostolic leader of Four12 (F12) and the lead elder of multisite, Joshua Generation Church. Faith Lived Out

How do we live out faith in a way that pleases God? In this message, Daniel Barnard unpacks what it means to live a life of faith, and so to please God (Hebrews 11:6). He explains that, more than just an internal belief, faith determines how we live - what we do, the decisions we make. As such, it is vital to have a proper understanding of what faith is. True faith stems from the belief that God, who sits on the throne, sees everything and as we bring Him our lives (the good parts, and the mess), it pleases Him. The reward of faith is God Himself - His approval, His pleasure, His nearness. This is a reward much greater than success, influence or reach. This is a Four12 Podcast. About the Speaker: Daniel Barnard serves as an elder in Joshua Generation Church, South Africa. He is married to Samantha, and they have four children. He is passionate about reaching the lost and discipling believers towards all God has for them.

While we may try to secure our own future, true peace is found in trusting His ways, even when it’s not easy. This is a Four12 PodcastAbout the Speaker:Ashley Gabriel is an elder in The Lighthouse Church, England. Tithe & the Curse

How can we be sure we are interpreting the Bible correctly? In this message, Andrew Selley equips believers with practical tools for reading and studying Scripture so that we can discern God’s truth. By asking whether Christians can be under God’s curse if we do not tithe, Andrew shows how easily we can draw the wrong conclusions when we read isolated verses without considering the wider context of Scripture. Through this message, we are taken on a journey to better understand what God is saying to us, as New Testament believers, through His Word. This is a Four12 Podcast About the Speaker: Andrew Selley is the apostolic leader of Four12 (F12) and the lead elder of multisite, Joshua Generation Church. The Radical Middle

How do we discern God’s truth in Scripture beyond our own biases and beliefs? The Bible is not just a text to study – it is the living Word that examines our hearts. In this message, Mike Davies shows us how Scripture not only reveals God but also our thoughts and intentions. Too often, we allow our understanding to be shaped by our biases, rather than embracing the whole counsel of Scripture. Mike challenges us to grapple with the tensions and paradoxes in the Word, learning to hold seemingly opposing truths together. As we allow Scripture to search us and balance our theological beliefs, we begin to discern God’s truth more clearly. This is a Four12 Podcast About the Speaker: Mike Davies serves on eldership within Joshua Generation Church, South Africa. He is married to Chantal, and they have two daughters. He loves to see people equipped to effectively serve the Kingdom of God through teaching and writing.

    Who Are You Looking At?

In uncertain times, is Jesus still our greatest help and treasure? Mike Davies invites us to consider where we look for strength, security, and direction as followers of Jesus, taking inspiration from the words of David, “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?” (Psalm 121v1, ESV)By looking at Scripture, Mike exposes the subtle pull of distraction, fear, nostalgia, and self-reliance – and points us to the freedom found in fixing our gaze on Christ. This message calls us to walk with endurance, in genuine community, resisting the shortcuts and false securities of the world. As everything around us can be shaken, where will we fix our eyesThis is a Four12 Podcast

In this message, Andrew Selley draws us back to Jesus, unpacking the biblical revelation of God as Jehovah Jireh—the Lord who provides. Tracing the story from Abraham and Isaac to the cross, Andrew shows how God’s ultimate provision meets humanity’s deepest need: righteousness we could never earn. What Does a Biblical Church Meeting Look Like?

Are our Sunday gatherings shaped by Scripture—or by comfort and routine? What if our ‘normal’ church service isn’t actually the New Testament’s normal? In this session, Andrew Selley unpacks what Scripture says should happen when believers gather—from signing psalms, hymns, and Spirit-birthed songs, to biblical teaching, and creating room for prophecy, tongues, and interpretation—all aimed at building up the body. Andrew challenges us to test everything without despising the gifts, warning that tradition and consumer comfort can quietly quench the Spirit. May we return to the Bible’s pattern and welcome Jesus’ full leadership when meeting together. This is a Four12 Podcast

In Scripture, we see many references to water, from rivers to springs. Mike shows us how they all point to Christ, who gives us eternal life and fills us with the Holy Spirit. God’s life in us cannot be sustained by structure, systems, or human effort, but flows freely as we recognise our thirst and turn again to the only true source of life. This is a Four12 Podcast

    Living Faithfully in Babylon

How do we live with uncompromising faith in this world? Are we aware of how much our environment is shaping us? In this message, Mike Davies illustrates how the culture around us quietly forms our thinking, values, and identity. Drawing from the life of Daniel in Babylon, Mike shows us how we, as God’s people, can live faithfully in this world's system without being shaped by it. Daniel and his men served with excellence and did not compromise—they trusted in God through every trial. Just as their obedience transformed Babylon, we can impact the world around us to advance God’s Kingdom. This is a Four12 Podcast

How does stewarding what Christ placed in us shape future disciples? In this message, Andrew Selley unpacks how God places His spiritual DNA in us when we are born again, by removing our sinful nature and making us a new creation in Christ. But the potential of this DNA must be stewarded well: trained and aligned by good leadership so that we, in turn, make disciples who will impact the nations. God made everything to reproduce after its own kind, and we can shape those coming after us to reflect His glory to the nations. Finding Treasure

Heaven’s greatest treasure isn’t gold — it’s people. Seeing what God values changes how we live and love. The greatest treasure on earth isn’t wealth or success, but people. According to 1 Peter 1:18–20, God did not ransom humanity with silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ. That truth reshapes how the church gathers, loves, and lives — not as spectators, but as family on mission, valuing people the way heaven does. This is a Four12 Podcast

    Demystifying Prophecy

Prophecy is a New Testament gift for the whole church, given to strengthen faith and reveal God’s presence among His people.  Prophecy is not a fringe practice or an optional extra for the church. Scripture calls believers to earnestly desire spiritual gifts—especially prophecy—so that the body may be strengthened, encouraged, and built up. This message carefully unpacks what the Bible teaches about New Testament prophecy, how it differs from the Old Testament, and why it remains relevant and necessary until Christ returns. With clarity and biblical conviction, it invites the church to move beyond fear and confusion, to learn how prophecy is tested, weighed, and practiced within the safety of the Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit. This is a Four12 Podcast  About the Speaker: Andrew Selley is the apostolic leader of Four12 and he ministers worldwide. In this message, Andrew Selley shows us that our idols can be found hiding behind the patterns of our old nature, often surfacing in our relationships and church life. The Israelites found mould on their walls, which exposed hidden Canaanite idols—so there are signs in our lives that reveal where God still needs to free us. Instead of hiding our brokenness and sin, we are called to bring it into the light. As God reveals, we can trust Him to heal us and make us more like Jesus.   This is a Four12 Podcast

    When God Tests Us

Why should we ‘count it all joy’ when we face trials? Have you ever wondered why God allows His children to walk through trials? These tests come in many forms: physical, spiritual, and relational. Jesus told us we would face trouble (John 16v33), yet it is through these very pressures that our faith is refined and our perseverance shaped. From Abraham and Moses to the early church, God’s people endured long seasons of testing. Thief in the Night

Are we living in anticipation of Jesus’ return at any moment? He is coming back as a thief in the night, no one knows the time, therefore we must live in a state of readiness (Matthew 24:34-44). Here, Kevin Aldridge teaches us what this readiness looks like and how we can make sure we stay vigilant. Are You Saved?

Martin Luther once said, “Outward salvation shows faith to be present, just as fruit shows a tree to be good.” One of the most important questions to ask ourselves is ‘Am I saved?’ If we truly are, grace from the Lord will transform us. In this message, Andrew Selley exhorts listeners to examine the fruit of salvation in their lives—a life surrendered to Christ will reflect His desires and priorities. Andrew encourages believers not to give up in our battle against our sinful nature, which has eternal significance before God. Are You Ready for Judgement Day?

God has a book of life, and those whose names are written in it will be spared on the great day of judgement (Revelation 20:11–15). But those whose names are not found on God's list will be thrown into the lake of fire. So, how can we be sure our names are written in this book? Andrew Selley explains that even though God went to the cross to save us, salvation must be worked out on earth throughout our lives, as faith without works is dead (James 2:26). Many are deceived into thinking they belong to Christ, yet show no fruit of salvation. Are you training yourself to become more like Jesus?   When the Apostle Paul writes to Timothy, he instructs Timothy to train himself to be godly, as godliness holds value for this life as well as eternity (1 Timothy 4:7-10). God wants us all to grow into resilient believers who walk in humility, integrity, and obedience to Jesus. In this session, Michael d’Offay teaches us that this godliness comes through intentional training, when we continually aim to become more like Jesus. He unpacks Scriptural principles that will help us grow into the people God wants us to be, encouraging us to desire godliness above any worldly esteem or success.  Four12 Global Podcasts Michael d'Offay serves on eldership in Joshua Generation Church, South Africa, and is the Dean of Leap Discipleship Year. Why I Believe in the Resurrection

How can we know that Jesus rose from the dead?   The Apostle Paul states that if Jesus were not raised from the dead, our faith would be useless (1 Corinthians 15:14). Thus, we know that believing Jesus was resurrected is such a fundamental aspect of our faith, but how can we know it to be true? In this Easter session, Michael d’Offay looks at three arguments that prove that Jesus died and was brought back to life. He looks at the claims of Jesus Himself, the life and death of the disciples, and the life of Paul. When we come to faith, our lives are transformed, and this is also proof that Jesus is alive. Let us be reminded why we celebrate Easter: Jesus came to seek and save the lost.   Four12 Global Podcasts Michael d'Offay serves on eldership in Joshua Generation Church, South Africa, and is the Dean of Leap Discipleship Year. How Encouragement Helps Us Endure

Called to encourage one another.  Jesus said that those who endure in faith to the end will be saved (Matthew 24:13). We are called to finish our race well, holding fast to Jesus throughout our lives. But how can we do so, with all of life’s trials and hardships? In this session, Michael d’Offay teaches us about encouragement – from learning how to become an encourager to God’s purpose in encouraging one another. He reminds us of the Lord’s plan in binding us together in fellowship as we walk together to spur each other on. As the Holy Spirit is our divine encourager, we are called to be filled by Him and share in His ministry to strengthen the body of Christ through encouragement.   Four12 Global Podcasts Michael d'Offay serves on eldership in Joshua Generation Church, South Africa, and is the Dean of Leap Discipleship Year. Deacons, Set Apart to Serve

What are the Biblical qualifications of a deacon?    Deacons are appointed in the church to help the elders – they are hands-on problem solvers, faithful men and women ready to do what needs to be done. It is a biblical office for men and women specially set apart to serve. But what are the requirements for being appointed as a deacon? In this session, Andrew Selley looks at what the Bible says about leadership in the church and where these roles originate from. He unpacks the role of a deacon, focusing on the character qualifications one needs to meet to be released as a deacon.   Four12 Global Podcasts Andrew Selley is the apostolic leader of Four12, and he ministers worldwide. When God Moves to Save

Understanding the outpouring of God’s Spirit.    Acts 2:17-18 gives a wonderful description of what it looks like when the Holy Spirit breaks into a meeting, starting a powerful revival amongst the first Christians. But did you know it is possible to keep Jesus outside of our meetings, hindering the work of God? In this session, Andrew Selley unpacks what it looks like when God’s power moves among us by looking at Scriptures in both the Old and the New Testament and revivals throughout more recent church history. When we understand how God moves, we can embrace His power in our meetings, allowing Him to change us, heal us, set us free, and ultimately, see the lost saved.   Four12 Global Podcasts Andrew Selley is the apostolic leader of Four12, and he ministers worldwide. The Need to Change to Remain With Jesus

We need to change for Jesus to remain in us.    When we give our lives to Jesus, He meets us where we are and the way we are. However, belonging to Him will mean we must change to reflect Him and His Word truthfully. In this session, Andrew Selley encourages saints to allow God to continually work in their hearts and minds, which will transform us into the image of Christ. When Jesus brings us to truth about wrong beliefs, sin, or even our own preferences, He brings us to a crossroads. It might be hard for us to change, but God’s way is always better. Let us allow Jesus to challenge us because as we yield to Him, He will remain in us, and we will remain in Him.   Four12 Global Podcasts Andrew Selley is the apostolic leader of Four12, and he ministers worldwide. Living in the Power of His Spirit

How do we yield to the Holy Spirit and let Him overflow through us?    We can easily talk about the power of God without seeing it manifest in our lives and churches. But God desires every saint to be filled to the overflow, living in the power of the Holy Spirit, for His glory alone. In this session, Euan MacRae stirs saints to leave behind religious rituals and habits, instead relying on the Spirit that God has given every believer. The power of the Holy Spirit is so much more than His gifts or miracles – we see Him in the fruit that we bear. His Spirit completes us. Let us yield to Him daily that He will reign in us and overflow through us to witness to those around us.   Four12 Global Podcasts Euan MacRae is a lead elder in Living Hope on the Isle of Man. A Pure & Sincere Devotion

Is your devotion to Jesus honest and undefiled by the world?    How we serve the Lord and His Body must be more than just a priority in our lives – we are called to be wholly devoted to Jesus and His Kingdom. This means that God deserves our first fruits, the best of all we have, including our time and our talents. In this session, Ryan Kingsley unpacks biblical devotion, cautioning saints to examine their hearts and lives, as the Lord will separate those devoted to Him from those who are not. God promises in His Word that He will remember those who lived to bring honour to His name (Malachi 3:16).   Four12 Global Podcasts Ryan Kingsley is the lead elder of the multi-site church City on a Hill in Gauteng, and he also ministers apostolically worldwide. He is married to Lelani and a father of four. Ryan is passionate about raising up zealous leaders, planting churches, and building healthy churches.

Have You Made a Covenant with God?

True Christianity is found in covenant, through Jesus.    In the Bible we see many examples of covenants – some between God and man and others, such as marriage, between people. We are familiar with the Old Covenant God made with Israel, but do we know God wants to be in covenant with us today? In this session, Andrew Selley shows us what covenant means and how binding it is, and ultimately introduces us to the New Covenant Jesus gave His life for. God’s chosen people are those in covenant with Him – with His laws placed in their minds and written on their hearts (Hebrews 8:10).   Four12 Global Podcasts Andrew Selley is the apostolic leader of Four12, and he ministers worldwide. He is also the lead elder of the multi-site Joshua Generation Church. He is based in California, USA, along with his wife, Emma, and their daughter, Enyah. Positioned for Your Destiny

Trust in God’s ways and timing to fulfil His plans for your life.   In Ephesians 4, we see that it is a church leader’s task to train saints for the work of the ministry, as the Lord has a plan and a purpose for every believer. A successful church is one where every member is active in the Kingdom. So, how do we position ourselves for what God has called us to? In this session, Andrew Selley unpacks this important question, explaining that we must first unlearn unbiblical beliefs and then open ourselves to be corrected, taught, and submitted to His Church and chosen leadership. God is the only one who brings promotion. Trust in Him and His ways to walk in the destiny God has for you.   Four12 Global Podcasts Andrew Selley is the apostolic leader of Four12, and he ministers worldwide. Don't Give the Enemy a Foothold

Don’t be satan’s ‘in’ to your church!    We sense that God is doing something significant in His church: He is birthing a new move through His Spirit. When we step into God’s greater plans to extend His Kingdom, we must be aware that the enemy is watching, hoping to oppose and destroy these plans along with God’s people. In this session, Andrew Selley warns and equips saints against the strategies of the devil. When one of us sins, we open a door to the enemy, affecting all of us. We are to live alert and sober-minded, not giving the devil a foothold to create division and destruction. Andrew implores saints to be vigilant, to yield to the Lord and His ways, and not to be satan’s ‘in’ to their congregations.  Four12 Global Podcasts Andrew Selley is the apostolic leader of Four12, and he ministers worldwide. ABOUT THIS SHOW

Following God’s ways and patterns in building His church. A church’s success isn’t measured by how many people attend, how much money is raised, its reputation with the public, or even its good works. Jesus’ perspective is the only one that matters. We need to build a church that reflects the heart of God. This is a Four12 podcast.
