C2D Lent 2023: The 4 men challenge
Send a textWarriors, check this out. Pat Molitor and I are talking about a special challenge we want you to attack this Lent! Starting this Wednesday, Ash Wednesday, we want you to grab three to four men and carry someone or some issue in prayer to Jesus over the course of lent. If this is something that is paralyzing you, then you are on the pallet and you need four men to carry this challenge. If you have a significant intention of someone or something else, then get three other (you make the 4th) men to help you carry them to Jesus. This challenge will follow Mark 2:3-5 where "four men" bring a paralytic to Jesus to be healed. The paralytic is healed because of the faith of the four men...not the faith of the paralytic. The four men must negotiate obstacles and get the paralytic up the roof and down through it to Jesus. So whatever person or issue you are carrying you will need to communicate with each other frequently during Lent and exercise your faith that taking this person or issue to Jesus will result in His healing power being activated in that situation. The challenge ends at 3 pm on Good Friday, we will lay our pallets down at the feet of the crucified Christ at the Hour of Mercy. Got enough faith? Got enough guts? Let's take'em to Jesus.
