The Israelites desired a fallible king, which came at a significant cost. Similarly, we can be tempted to desire what everyone else has, often at a great expense. It's important to remember that good opportunities are not always God-opportunities.How can we discern God's best for our lives? How can we align our desires with His and submit our will to His? We hope this message challenges you and draws you closer to the Lord.

J. I. Packer noted that a particular kind of gospel ministry can be unintentionally cruel. He explained that the harmful teaching suggests that becoming a Christian will make your life easier, giving the impression that you'll lead a trouble-free existence. This belief can result in Christians experiencing "bitter disillusionment". How do handle trials and temptation? Do you pass or do you pass out? We pray that this message challenges you and brings you closer to the Lord.
