Love in an Age of Division

The world is angry, anxious, divided, and loud, and it’s easy to get swept up in the chaos. But what if love, joy, and peace aren’t soft virtues—they’re a rebellion against the status quo? These aren’t just nice traits. They’re how we push back against a world gone sideways.

  2. 299

    Your Attention

Pastor Clayton turns to Philippians 4 to conclude the "Margin" series by teaching on taking control of what gets your attention and fixing it on genuine and quality things.

  3. 298

    Your Relationships

Shallow relationships have become our new normal. What if God’s way offers something better? How do we make room for genuine relationships?

  4. 297

    Your Money

Pastor Jim teaches on what the Bible has to say about finding margin in our lives–with respect to our money.

  5. 296

    Your Schedule

You weren’t made to live maxed out. But packed calendars, shallow relationships, and scattered thoughts have become our new normal. What if God’s way offers something better—space to breathe, give, connect, and think clearly?

  6. 295

    What If It’s Not True?

If the Christ wasn't raised, none of this matters. If Christ was raised, everything changes!

  7. 294

    Love Through the Cross

The cross upends the idea that God only loves those who deserve it, because Jesus died for his enemies.

  8. 293

    Marriage Through the Cross

Pastor Clayton teaches that the cross turns marriage on its head by basing the husband-wife relationship on Jesus' self-giving love for the church.

  9. 292

    Identity Through Christ

Pastor Jim teaches on how the cross redefines who we are--not based on what we do but what Christ did.

  10. 291

    Diversity Through the Cross

Pastor Eric teaches how the cross unites people the world says should be enemies.

  11. 290

    Suffering Through the Cross

The cross proves that God is for you--even when suffering suggests he’s not. On the cross, God gave you his very best: Jesus.

  12. 289

    Status Through the Cross

Pastor Jim Nicodem teaches on how the cross transforms power into something to be used to serve others, not yourself.

  13. 288

    Wisdom Through the Cross

The cross looks foolish to the world, but to those God calls, it is divine wisdom. The cross is either complete nonsense or the key to everything.

  14. 287

What God Is Doing in Brazil

For International Impact Weekend, we've prepared a special mini-documentary about Christ Community's ministry partner in Brazil. Take a deep dive into the ministry we are doing there through an amazing story that God has been writing of sharing the Good News with unreached people groups in the Amazon.

  15. 286

    Overcoming Impostor Syndrome

Pastor Eric concludes the Kingdom of the Underdogs series by studying 2 Samuel 7. When David wants to do something great for God, God tells David that he intends to do something great for him--a promise that leads to Jesus.

  16. 285

    The King’s Table

The Kingdom of the Underdogs teaching series continues into the book of 2 Samuel. Pastor Clayton teaches that King Jesus' table is gracious and inclusive by studying the story of King David welcoming Mephibosheth.

  17. 284

    How to Fight Entitlement

Pastor Clayton turns to a curious 1 Samuel story about a battle where half the army was too tired to fight. We'll see that in God's kingdom, victory is shared equally between those those who did the most and those who did the least.

  18. 283

    Leaving Things in God’s Hands

In a live recording of the Bible Savvy Podcast, Pastors Clayton, Courtney, and David discuss a story where David has the chance to kill Saul, who has been hunting him down, but chooses to spare him. Why would David do this? This story will show us how the kingdom comes not by grasping for it, but by trusting God to give it to us.

  19. 282

    Three Dead Ends to Success

Pastor Clayton continues the six-week Bible Savvy teaching series by dissecting three paths our culture tells us will lead to success, but in God’s kingdom, they are dead ends.

  20. 281

    Facetime

God sides with underdogs. The books of Samuel open with this prayer: "[The Lord] raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes." This weekend begins a six-week Bible Savvy study of how this theme runs through 1 & 2 Samuel.

  21. 280

The “Just Jesus and Me” Myth (And What Actually Works)

Faith isn't meant to be a lonely, exhausting individual effort. It's meant to be lived in community.

  22. 279

    God So Loved He Gave

God satisfies the infinite longing of our hearts through the extravagant gift of his Son.

  23. 278

    Generous in Prayer

God is a good Father who loves to give to his children when they ask—inviting us to approach him boldly and expectantly in prayer.

  24. 277

    Generous in Restoration

Even in the aftermath of devastating loss, God promises to abundantly restore what sin and suffering have stolen.

  25. 276

    Generous in Provision

God faithfully provides for our every need--not from scarcity but from the riches of his glory, so that we can live with contentment.

  26. 275

    Generous in Creation

God’s generosity is on display in the overflowing beauty, order, and abundance of creation—reminding us that the world is a gift from a lavish giver.

  27. 274

When Someone You Love Walks Away

How do you respond when a family member or friend is going through doubt or deconstruction of their faith? Pastor Clayton concludes the "Help My Unbelief" series with a teaching on what we do when someone we love walks away.

  28. 273

    Do Christians Hate LGBTQ People?

One of the biggest hurdles for people considering Christianity and one of the biggest catalysts for people leaving Christianity is the historic Christian view of sexuality and gender. Pastor Clayton teaches on this as he continues the "Help My Unbelief" series.

  29. 272

Why is the Church So Messed Up?

For many people, the thing that pushes them away from Jesus are the people who claim to represent him. Pastor Clayton addresses the question, "Why is the church so messed up?"

  30. 271

Would a Loving God Send People to Hell?

The Bible speaks clearly and frequently about judgment for sin, including a final, terrible destination called hell. How could a good, loving God judge people?

  31. 270

    Inspiring Stories with Ian Hutchinson

Ian Hutchinson is Professor of Nuclear Science and Engineering Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In addition to directing a major national fusion research facility, authoring 250 scientific journal articles and two advanced science text books, he also wrote the book, "Can a Scientist Believe in Miracles?”

  32. 269

    Is the Bible Morally Backward?

God’s moral instruction demonstrates his wisdom and justice to the world…but sometimes it sure doesn’t seem like it. Pastor Clayton continues the "Help My Unbelief" teaching series by sharing seven questions to ask when scripture seems morally backward.

  33. 268

This Jesus Thing Just Isn’t Working for Me

Doubt is a normal experience in life, including the life of faith. As the new series begins, Pastor Clayton examines the experience of doubt in general, and in particular the way someone gets to the place where it feels like following Jesus is not working for them, because life has run them over, the simple answers don't work, and the God stuff that seems to work for others isn't working for them.

  34. 267

    Salvation in the Present Tense

In the final weekend of the Bible Savvy series, "A Meal with Jesus," Pastor Jim teaches on the Book of Luke's story of Zacchaeus the tax collector. At Jesus' table, hearts are transformed--but this is not just a one-time, past-tense experience. It's also a present-tense experience. Salvation is not just a wedding day, it's also a marriage.

  35. 266

    Dinner at Mary and Martha’s

On a live taping of the Bible Savvy Podcast, pastors Courtney, Clayton, and David dig into Luke 10's story of Mary and Martha. At Jesus' table, priorities are reset.

  36. 265

    An Uninvited Guest

Pastor Eric continues the Meal with Jesus teaching series. At Jesus' table, sinners are known and forgiven.

  37. 264

    Surprise Party

In this Bible Savvy series, we're looking at five meals and how they pointed to the ultimate feast in the kingdom of God. This week: At Jesus' table, outsiders are welcome.

  38. 263

The Kingdom Happens Around a Table

Jesus spent a lot of time at dinner parties. Why? Because meals are a picture of the kingdom of God. In the first week, Pastor Claytons teaches on an awkward conversation Jesus had at a party to share some surprising principles that will transform our meals forever.

  39. 262

    Reaching Out

In the final week of the "Deeper" teaching series, Pastor Eric Ferris looks at how going deeper means chasing after God's heart for the world. Our faith deepens most profoundly when we participate in God's mission to reach the lost.

  40. 261

    Fighting Sin

It's week two of the 'Deeper' sermon series. Going deeper means actually becoming like Jesus, not just putting up with the same old problems. It's about putting off the old self and putting on the new.

  41. 260

    Seeking God

Our society is drowning in shallow content, short attention spans, and surface-level relationships—and unfortunately, much of our spiritual lives follow the same pattern. What would it look like to be people of genuine depth in a world obsessed with packaging over content?

  42. 259

    Gracious

We’ve spent eight weeks exploring some of the attributes of God. Pastor Eric ends the series by looking at how gracious God is--and how we can truly reflect him.

  43. 258

    Holy

The study of God's attributes continues as Pastor Courtney teaches on God's holiness--and how we share this trait with our God.

  44. 257

    Just

We are made in God's image. He is just and shares this attribute with us. This weekend, Pastor Eric teaches on how we reflect God's justice.

  45. 256

    Love

The summer study of God's attributes continues as we consider the characteristics he shares with us, creations made in his image. Guest speaker Jay Kim teaches on the attribute of love. Jay serves as lead pastor at WestGate Church in Silicon Valley. He's also the author of books including Listen Listen Speak, Analog Christian, Analog Church, and Colossians: One Jesus, One People.

  46. 255

    Wise

The summer study of God's attributes switches to those that we were made to share with him. First up: Wisdom.

  47. 254

    Unchanging

In the final teaching on God's unique attributes, Pastor Derwin Gray looks at God's unchanging nature. God is consistently the same in his being, perfections, and purposes, across all time and circumstances.

  48. 253

    Omnipresence and Omniscience

God has hard-wired us to know that there is something more out there, to know him. In this first half of the summer series, we are learning about God through his attributes that we cannot share. This weekend: God’s omnipresence and omniscience.

  49. 252

    Self-Sufficient

Is it possible that we’ve celebrated autonomy and independence so much so that we’ve convinced ourselves that we don’t really need God at all? We were made to need God…not the other way around.

  50. 251

    Omnipotence

Pastor Eric launches our summer teaching series on the attributes of God. In other words, what is God like? What is the truth about Him? And is this even knowable? In the first of two series, we look at attributes we cannot share.
