084 Example of a church rebrand for a church rooted in a denomination
In this new podcast episode, you'll learn how I implemented a new brand for a church that has been around for decades in the Church of God in Christ denomination. Now they are growing in weekly attendance and church membership. Building a brand is a powerful tool a church can use to clearly and concisely communicate its benefits. Clarity is what cuts through the noise to reach people, letting them know the benefits of coming to church in a visually appealing way. 083 Church marketing system for promoting your events so you see new guests
You can leverage events to grow the church, just like we help Cornerstone Church do to see new families join the church every month. The key is to think about building your brand instead of just promoting an event. When you get this right, you'll have effective promotions to get new guests to come to the church. You will steward the church money well and be more creative in your marketing. Many churches scramble to get promotions together at the last minute for an upcoming event, and they end up not seeing the results they want for the investment they make. The promotion package costs more money than it should and stresses everyone involved. With my "onramp" strategy, you can solve this problem to become a better steward of your time, creativity, and finances.

082 Example of a logo design for a 6-decade old church that wants to reach young families today
In this new podcast episode, we look at eight tips for what makes a great church logo design, and you'll see the logo I created for Calvary Church, located in Pella, Iowa. What is your logo saying about you? People judge a book by its cover, and your logo is the most seen part of your brand. The problem may be that your logo communicates that you are not relevant to your community. Get an updated logo that better relate to your audience and looks good in various forms of media. You will gain brand recognition in the community, so people know you exist. A good logo increases the effectiveness of your marketing efforts by making you appear relevant.

A great brand is built by asking great questions. I have a list of 20 questions that I ask my new clients to help me get up to speed with their current brand and the vision they have for the future. This alignment builds a high level of trust in the brand that compels people to take their next steps with the church.

Tip: Have a target audience avatar for the event, so you choose your design elements and messaging specifically for that person. Tip: Create a simple brand guide that defines color values, fonts, and a logo that is consistent across all media. Listen to learn more. 074- How to brand Christmas to get people to join your church
In this episode, we are talking about Christmas. How do we give people the Christmas experience to make them stay and become part of our church? SHOW NOTES Imagine Christmas as a tradition in your church, where people in your church and the community look forward to the Christmas season every year. Achieving this can happen with the mindset of a strategic marketing framework. Identifying Christmas problems in the community and providing solutions to a significant problem is an excellent key to getting more members on Christmas seasons. Many churches make the mistake of having a Christmas service for themselves. However, Christmas is when everyone in the culture is made aware of God, and your church needs to leverage this awareness to invite new people to come to your Christmas service. Let's talk about some of the problems people in our community encounter in the Christmas season, 1. People lack hope If you think about it, hope is something people lack during this season. People take a toll after the first three quarters of the year without achieving their goals. What if, as a church, we build a brand around the idea of hope, and the goal is to make people stronger when they walk into our church for the Christmas season. 2. Providing a time out In my many years as a guild and an adult, I've diagnosed the Christmas season to be the busiest time of people's life. If, as a church, we could give people the timeout feeling, where people have a moment with their family and loved ones and be glad they did, PS> I have a strategic playbook on how you can plan a Christmas event. I mapped out all the weekly strategies starting from October to December with all plans and promotions. Listen to the podcast episode 74. Thanks for Listening! 073 - Branding process for Christwalk Church
If you are thinking about rebranding your church, this will be the perfect place to learn about the branding process and the steps that will get you results to see more first-time guests. In this episode, we are unpacking the story behind the Christwalk Church rebrand. You'll learn how to create a brand rather than design a logo. I will also show you three things an effective logo design needs to have. SHOW NOTE Find out your Target Audience The church in its spiritual form is acceptable to all, but we definitely have our mandate to a specific calling. As a pastor or church leader, you should be able to cut through the noise and meet your specific audience. How do we do this? in some of my courses, I normally do ask some questions during the branding process, examples are- what is the mission and vision of the church, what are you trying to accomplish as a church in a community, and what do you do to help that vision become a reality. Out of these answers, then we can start formulating the right logo, the best color, and the ideal front for your branding process. Analyzing Christwalk Logo A lot of the decisions came from the idea of the vacation area the two arrows pointing up signifies a follow sign, of course, we're pointing people towards God leading them to Jesus the church vision is a follow me mentality "if you find Jesus, go find someone and point them to Jesus" the circle-shaped was chosen because the church is more relational some churches are more structural, so one thing to put in mind is also the ideal of your church The color skim we chosen kind of signify the area which is more of a beach vibe, the brown, green, white The front we choose is a really simple front kinda trendy but not too trendy really simple and not gonna be outdated in about 10 to 15years of style Also, just a tip-up, trying the logo of things like t-shirt, mug cups,s and a bunch of items is really a great idea. you can see what we do with the christ walk church. I totally encourage that for pastors. CONCLUSION People judge a book by its cover, so we need to get our branding and marketing right as a church. Visitors will decide within minutes of visiting your church If we want to carry the good news of the gospel, we need to embrace good branding. Check out churchbrandguide.com The membership is where I leverage my years of experience to serve as your virtual communications director to help you build a brand that attracts people to your church and causes them to stick. This is a great way to get training so you can eventually hire a position with someone who is qualified. In the membership, you’ll be able to join me on an interactive Zoom video call as I take you step-by-step through building a communications strategy for your church. You’ll also be invited into an exclusive group to get resources to help you build your custom brand strategy. I hope you take some next steps to change the results you have been seeing! Easter is coming sooner than you think. In this episode, I'll guide show you how to brand your Easter service to build your reputation, which causes people to come back.
