Guy’s Night // The Book Of Colossians May - Chapter 1
This week, Guy’s Night began a brand new journey through the book of Epistle to the Colossians, and from the very first chapter, the focus was clear: Jesus is not just important — He is supreme over everything. As we walked through Chapter 1, we explored one of the most powerful portraits of Christ in all of Scripture. Paul reminds the church that Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the creator of all things, the one who holds all things together, and the head of the Church. In a world constantly searching for meaning, identity, and fulfillment, Colossians points us back to one central truth: Christ is enough. The discussion centered on how easy it is to build our lives around performance, approval, or religious activity while missing the fullness found in Jesus. We talked about the difference between knowing about Christ and truly surrendering to Him, and how the gospel doesn’t just improve people — it completely transforms them.We also reflected on the incredible reality that the same Jesus who created the universe willingly reconciled sinners to God through His death on the cross. The King over all creation became the Savior for broken humanity. This night challenged us with a simple but life-altering question:If Jesus truly is over everything…is He truly over every part of our lives?Colossians 1 doesn’t just introduce a letter. It introduces the greatness of Christ.

Committed Gathering // I Know That Man | Rev. Garrett Weeks
What does it really mean to say, “I know Him”… and live like it?At Committed ✝️ on April 25, Reverend Garrett Weeks delivers a bold and convicting message that cuts straight to the heart of our faith. Through powerful stories of unwavering devotion—from Polycarp and Saint Lawrence to Job and ultimately Jesus Christ—we’re challenged with a sobering question:Why do we deny Jesus so easily… and so often? This message dives deep into the tension between devotion and denial, looking closely at the lives of Judas Iscariot and Peter the Apostle—two men who walked closely with Jesus, yet responded very differently when tested. You’ll be challenged to examine: • The subtle ways we compromise and deny Christ in everyday life • How fear, comfort, and temptation pull us back to our old ways • The difference between falling away and fully walking away • The powerful truth that Jesus restores those who return to HimThis isn’t just a message about failure—it’s a call to come back, to live fully devoted, and to stop claiming Christ with our words while denying Him with our lives.🔥 It’s time to choose: the flesh or the Father. 🔥 It’s time to stop hiding your faith. 🔥 It’s time to boldly declare: “I KNOW THAT MAN.”Listen now and be challenged to live a faith that never backs down.

Guy’s Night // Worship & Writing Letters To The Navy
At this week’s Guys Night, we slowed things down and leaned into a night of worship, prayer, and brotherhood.Instead of a typical teaching, we created space to seek God together—lifting up our lives, our struggles, and each other in prayer. There’s something powerful about a room full of men choosing to be real before God and not just go through the motions. One of the most meaningful moments of the night was taking time to write letters to our brother who is currently serving in the Navy—encouraging him, praying over him, and reminding him that he’s not alone. This night was a reminder that following Jesus isn’t just about learning—it’s about living in community, carrying each other’s burdens, and showing up for one another.Real faith. Real brotherhood. Real presence.

Guy’s Night // Doors & Doorways | Pastor Luke Mace
At this week’s Guys Night, we were joined by Luke Mace, youth pastor from The Pulse Church in Winfield, who brought a powerful message titled “Doors & Doorways.”Luke walked us through the story of Cain and Abel, where God warns Cain that sin is crouching at the door and that he must learn to master it rather than be mastered by it. From there, we connected that moment in Genesis with Revelation 3:20–21, where Jesus says He stands at the door and knocks—inviting us to open the door of our lives so that we can walk in victory with Him.The conversation challenged us as men to think about what doors we allow sin to open in our lives and what it truly means to choose obedience, holiness, and leadership. We also had an honest discussion about the real evil present in our world, particularly the reality of the sex trafficking and slave trade, and the responsibility men have to stand up, live with courage, and protect the vulnerable. This was a night about choosing the right door, mastering sin instead of being mastered by it, and stepping into the kind of men God has called us to be.

Guy’s Night // Are We Gonna Get Bored In Heaven? | Justin Hart Crary
At this month’s Guys Night, we were joined by author Justin Hart Crary for a powerful conversation about heaven, eternity, and the deeper questions many believers wrestle with but rarely talk about.During the night, Justin challenged the room with two thought-provoking questions: • Are we going to get bored in heaven? • If sin entered the “perfect” garden in the beginning, what would stop someone from sinning again in eternity?Together, we explored what the Bible actually says about eternity, the nature of the new creation, and why heaven will be far more meaningful, joyful, and fulfilling than many of us imagine. This episode captures the teaching and discussion from the night as we wrestle with big theological questions and what they mean for how we live our lives right now.If you’ve ever wondered what eternity will really be like—or struggled to picture heaven as something truly exciting—this conversation will challenge and encourage you.

Guy’s Night // FASTING - To Stand With The Poor | John Mark Comer
In this episode, we unpack the final message from John Mark Comer in the teaching series on fasting, “Fasting to Stand With the Poor.”Fasting isn’t just about personal spiritual growth—it’s also about reshaping our hearts toward justice, generosity, and compassion. Throughout Scripture, fasting is often connected with caring for those in need, reminding us that true devotion to God must also overflow into love for others.Drawing from passages like Book of Isaiah 58 and the teachings of Jesus in Gospel of Matthew, this message challenges us to see fasting not as an isolated spiritual practice, but as a way to align our lives with the heart of God for the poor, the oppressed, and the overlooked. As we close out the series, we talk about how fasting can cultivate empathy, loosen our grip on material comfort, and move us toward practical generosity. When we fast, we’re reminded that the Kingdom of God is not just about personal transformation—it’s about participating in God’s restoration of the world.Join us as we reflect on how fasting can shape a faith that is both deeply spiritual and radically compassionate.

Guy’s Night // Fasting Practice - To Amplify Our Prayers | John Mark Comer
In this episode, we dive into the teaching “Fasting – To Amplify Our Prayer” from John Mark Comer.Fasting is one of the most ancient and powerful practices in the way of Jesus, yet it’s often misunderstood or rarely practiced in modern Christianity. In this teaching, John Mark Comer unpacks how fasting is not about earning something from God, but about creating space to seek Him with deeper hunger and dependence.Together we explore how fasting quiets the noise of our lives, strengthens our prayers, and reorients our hearts toward the presence of God. When we deny the body something it wants, we remind our soul that what we truly need most is God.Whether you’ve fasted before or are just beginning to explore this spiritual discipline, this conversation will help you see fasting as an invitation—an invitation to deeper prayer, greater awareness of God, and a more focused pursuit of His kingdom.Join us as we discuss how fasting can amplify our prayer life and draw us closer to the heart of God.

Committed Gathering // The Mountain Between Fire & Rain | Matthew Wright
What do you do when you pray… and nothing seems to happen? Many of us have prayed for the same things over and over again — for healing, for freedom, for breakthrough, and especially for the people we love to come to know Jesus. But when the answers don’t come quickly, it can feel like heaven has gone silent. In this sermon, we walk through one of the most powerful moments in Scripture from First Kings 18, where the prophet Elijah experiences both fire from heaven and rain after a long drought. But between the fire and the rain was something many believers overlook: persistent prayer.Through this story and the reminder in James 5, we discover that the kind of prayer that brings new life often looks more like labor than spectacle. Just like childbirth, spiritual breakthrough is sometimes preceded by seasons of waiting, pressing in, and refusing to give up.This message explores:Why some prayers take timeThe difference between spectacular moments and persistent faithHow prayer can give birth to new lifeWhy the mountain between fire and rain is prayerIf you’ve ever wondered whether God hears your prayers, this message will remind you that sometimes the rain is already on its way — you just have to keep praying until the clouds appear.🔥 Because sometimes… you can hear the rain before you see it.

Guy’s Night // Fasting Practice - To Grow In Holiness | John Mark Comer
At this week’s Guys Night, we watched and discussed the Fasting practice from John Mark Comer’s Practicing the Way, focusing on “Fasting – To Grow in Holiness.”Fasting is one of the most ancient and powerful spiritual disciplines in the Christian life, yet it’s often misunderstood or ignored today. In this conversation, we reflect on why followers of Jesus have fasted for centuries and how fasting helps train our hearts to desire God more than our comforts.Together we talk about the purpose of fasting, how it exposes the things we rely on besides God, and how it can deepen our dependence on Him. Holiness isn’t about trying harder—it’s about becoming people who truly hunger and thirst for God.Join us as we wrestle with what it means to slow down, deny ourselves, and make space for God to transform us from the inside out. 🙏

Guy’s Night // Fasting Practice - To Offer Ourselves To God | John Mark Comers
At this week’s Guys Night, we dove into the practice of fasting through the lens of teachings from John Mark Comer and his work on spiritual disciplines. In a session titled “To Offer Ourselves to God,” the conversation centered on how fasting is not about religious performance, but about surrender.Together, we explored how fasting creates space in our lives to seek God more intentionally, quiet the noise of our appetites, and realign our hearts with what truly satisfies. Inspired by the teachings of John Mark Comer and grounded in passages like Gospel of Matthew 6:16–18, the guys discussed how fasting becomes an act of worship—an offering of ourselves to God.This episode captures the heart of the discussion: why followers of Jesus fast, how fasting exposes what controls us, and how it can deepen our hunger for God more than anything else in this world.Whether you’ve practiced fasting for years or have never tried it before, this conversation invites you to rediscover fasting as a powerful way to offer your whole self to God. 🙏

Guy’s Night // Book Of Jonah February — Chapter 4
In our final night walking through the Book of Jonah, we arrived at the most uncomfortable chapter of all — Chapter 4.Nineveh repents. God relents. Revival breaks out.And Jonah is furious. This week’s discussion centered on a sobering truth: sometimes we love receiving mercy more than we love seeing others receive it. Jonah wasn’t confused about who God is — in fact, he quotes God’s character perfectly: gracious, merciful, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love. The problem wasn’t Jonah’s theology. It was his heart. We talked about how easy it is to obey outwardly while resisting inwardly. How we can care more about our comfort (a plant) than about people. How spiritual pride can disguise itself as righteousness. And why this book — uniquely — ends with a question instead of an answer.“Should I not pity Nineveh?”That question wasn’t just for Jonah. It’s for us.As we closed the series, we reflected on how Jonah sits outside the city hoping for judgment… while Jesus weeps over cities and moves toward sinners with compassion. Jonah resents mercy. Jesus embodies it. Jonah wants justice for others. Jesus takes justice upon Himself. This final night asked each of us to examine our hearts:Do we love what God loves?Do we celebrate grace when it reaches people we struggle to forgive? And are we willing to let God change not just our direction — but our desires? The story ends with a question. How we answer it is up to us.

Committed Gathering // Discipled By Your Feed | Rev. Jonathan Boggess
In this powerful message from the February 21st Committed Worship Gathering, Rev. Jonathan Boggess challenges us to consider a question most of us never think to ask: Who — or what — is discipling us every day?Preaching from Romans 12, Rev. Boggess explores how modern technology, social media, and the constant pull of our digital “feeds” are quietly shaping our hearts, minds, and spiritual lives. With honesty, humor, and practical insight, he reminds us that discipleship isn’t just something that happens in church — it happens in our habits, our attention, and the things we choose to consume daily. This sermon calls listeners to:• Recognize how everyday influences are forming their faith• Understand what it means to present their lives as a “living sacrifice”• Shift from being conformed by the world to being transformed by Christ• Intentionally “feed” their lives with things that draw them closer to GodWith a timely message for a technology-saturated generation, Rev. Boggess invites us to become more aware, more intentional, and more hungry for God — reminding us that true transformation begins when we choose what shapes us.Theme: Discipled by Your FeedKey Scripture: Romans 12:1–2Core Message: What you consistently consume is what ultimately forms you.Listen in and be encouraged to fix your eyes on Jesus, renew your mind, and live a life fully surrendered to Him.

Guy’s Night // Book of Jonah February — Chapter 3
In Night Three of our series, we walked through Book of Jonah Chapter 3, where the story shifts from running and rescue to obedience and repentance. After everything Jonah had done — running from God, resisting His call, and needing to be rescued from the depths — God speaks to him again. The same command. The same mission. The same grace. This chapter reminds us that our failures don’t disqualify us from being used by God. He is a God of second chances. We explored how Jonah finally obeys outwardly, yet still struggles inwardly, and how the people of Nineveh respond immediately with humility, repentance, and faith. Their response challenges us to consider how quickly we respond when God speaks — and whether our obedience comes from surrender or simply obligation. The discussion centered on the powerful contrast between Jonah and Nineveh: a reluctant prophet versus a repentant city. It also pointed us to the deeper truth that runs through the entire story — that God’s mercy is far greater than human expectations, and His heart is always bent toward restoration. At its core, this night asked a simple but challenging question:When God gives us another chance, will we just obey… or will we allow Him to change our hearts too?

Guy’s Night // Book of Jonah February — Chapter 2
In Night Two of our February series, we stepped into the depths with Jonah — literally and spiritually — as we walked through Jonah chapter 2.This chapter isn’t really about a fish. It’s about what happens when God refuses to give up on someone who is running. From the belly of the fish, Jonah finally cries out to the Lord, revealing a powerful truth: sometimes God rescues us not by removing our storms, but by meeting us right in the middle of them.We explored how Jonah’s prayer shows the difference between regret and true repentance, why many people only turn to God after hitting rock bottom, and how even painful circumstances can actually be expressions of God’s mercy. The discussion also pointed us to the greater story — how Jonah’s three days in darkness foreshadow Jesus, who entered death itself so that we could be fully rescued. At the heart of the night was one defining statement from Jonah’s prayer:“Salvation belongs to the Lord.”A reminder that we cannot save ourselves — and we were never meant to.This conversation challenges us to ask:Are we still running, or are we finally ready to surrender?

Guy’s Night // Book Of Jonah February - Chapter 1
Night one of our February Guy’s Night series takes us into Jonah chapter 1, where we confront a hard truth: knowing God doesn’t always mean obeying God.Jonah isn’t a story about a runaway prophet as much as it is a mirror held up to the human heart. As we walk through the storm, the ship, the sleeping prophet, and the mercy of God, we see how Jonah’s shortcomings expose our own — and how every failure in Jonah points us to Jesus, the one who is greater. We explore why Jonah runs, how obedience without heart change leads to resentment, and why God’s mercy often offends those who know Him best. Along the way, we connect Jonah to the older brother in Luke 15, the contrast between Jonah and Peter, and the powerful reality that Jonah is the only book in the Bible that ends with a question — one we’re still meant to answer today. This night sets the foundation for the entire series, inviting us to stop running, wake up to what God is doing, and surrender our hearts fully to Him.

Committed Gathering // New Year, Same You? | John Klassen
Why do so many attempts at change fail—especially in our faith? In this message, New You, we confront the lie that trying harder produces lasting transformation. Scripture reveals that the gospel is not about behavior modification, but identity transformation.Through passages like 2 Corinthians 5, Galatians 4, and Romans 8, we discover what it truly means to be a new creation—not cleaned up, but made new. This sermon speaks to anyone who still struggles with sin, anxiety, fear, or past failures and wonders, “If I’m new in Christ, why do I still feel this way?”You’ll be reminded that your identity is settled instantly, your growth is worked out daily, and freedom flows not from effort, but from living out of who God says you already are. The enemy may accuse, but victory comes through the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. This message is an invitation to stop striving, start believing, and learn how to live from the New You.

Guy’s Night // Defending The Apostles Creed | Parker Barnette
At Guys Night, Parker Barnette delivered a thoughtful and challenging message titled “Defending the Apostles’ Creed.” He unpacked the creed as a declaration of allegiance to the Kingdom of God—much like a pledge—meant to continually realign our minds and spirits with what we truly trust in.Parker explored the meaning of Pentokrator, pointing to the fullness of the Trinity and the Almighty nature of God, grounded in Scripture from Genesis 1 and Revelation 1:6. He reminded us that God is not only Creator, but also Upholder and Sustainer of all things (Acts 17:28), and that we call God “Father” because He is first the Father of Jesus. With a powerful reminder that submission often precedes understanding, Parker challenged us to live out the creed daily—because if we truly did, it would turn the world upside down. We closed the night in worship, singing Psalm 121 together.

Guy’s Night // We Are Formed By What’s Next | Rev. Jonathan Boggess
What verse has truly shaped you—not just your favorite, but the one that changed you in your hardest season? In this Guy’s Night message, Rev. Jonathan Boggess explores how God forms us not by what’s comfortable, but by what’s next. Walking through the lives of Moses, David, and Jesus, we see how seasons of obscurity, wilderness, and waiting are often the very places where calling is forged. From Exodus 2–3 to 1 Samuel 16, the Psalms, and the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness, this discussion shows how Scripture doesn’t just inspire us—it sustains us, anchors us, and prepares us for public leadership through private devotion. This episode challenges us to identify the verses that have shaped our faith, recognize how our calling grows where God has placed us, and step into obedience—because others will need what God is forming in us.Key Scriptures:Exodus 2–3 • 1 Samuel 16 • Psalm 23, 51, 57 • 2 Corinthians 4:8–9; 5:18–19 • Isaiah 41:10 • Romans 8:28 • Micah 6:8Reflection Questions: • How is God inviting me to live out my influence verse? • Where does this verse meet me in my family, work, church, and personal walk?If you want to walk in God’s calling, there’s one key: obedience.

Guy’s Night // What Does Worship Mean To You? | Brody Cox
Last night, Brody Cox led us into a powerful, eye-opening conversation on the true meaning of worship. Drawing from Romans 12:1, Brody reminded us that worship isn’t just the songs we sing on Sunday—it’s the daily, intentional offering of our entire lives to God.We talked about how real worship is surrender, not performance… obedience, not emotion… and devotion, not a moment in a service.Brody also shared a challenging concern: that many Christians treat Sunday singing as “worship,” but only when the conditions are right—the right song, the right mood, the right feeling. He pushed us to evaluate whether our worship is conditional or constant, shaped by convenience or anchored in commitment. If you’ve ever wondered what genuine, Bible-rooted worship looks like—and how to live it out every day—this conversation will hit home.

Committed Gathering // Is There Room At Your Table? | John Klassen
In this powerful message, John Klassen challenges us with a question that cuts deep: “Is there room at your table?”Rooted in passages like Luke 14:12–14, Mark 15:15–17, and the story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19, this sermon explores how Jesus used meals not just to feed, but to transform. The dinner table becomes a mini altar—a sacred space where outsiders become family and the rejected find restoration.John reminds us that gossip, judgment, and cliquish comfort zones won’t lead anyone to repentance. But an open seat at the table? That just might. With eternity hanging in the balance, every conversation, every invitation, carries the weight of heaven and hell.Who’s missing from your table? The one who hurt you?The one you avoid? The one you think doesn’t belong? This episode will convict you, stretch you, and hopefully move you to make room—for the sake of someone’s eternity.

Guy’s Night // Character | Patrick Diehl
In this week’s guy’s night, we dive deep into what true character really means — not just reputation, but the kind of inner life God is forming in us. Anchored in Exodus 34:6–7, we see how God first reveals His character — full of compassion, grace, patience, and truth — and how we’re called to reflect that same heart in a world full of shortcuts and compromise.Through Romans 5:4, we’re reminded that character is forged in the fire of endurance. In Ephesians 3:14–19, we’re challenged to let our roots grow deep into Christ’s love. And in Matthew 12:33–37, we’re reminded that what’s in us will come out — our words, our actions, and our fruit all reveal who we really are.Want to go deeper this week? Spend time with these verses:📖 Romans 8:6📖 Proverbs 3:5–6📖 Romans 12:1–2This isn’t about behavior modification — it’s about becoming the kind of man who reflects the character of Jesus from the inside out.

Committed Podcast Episode 08 | Count It All Joy
Lately, we’ve all been quoting this verse: “Count it all joy.” Whether it’s been during incredible moments—or while dealing with a flat tire—we’ve said it, posted it, and prayed it. But what does James really mean when he says, “Count it all joy when you face trials…”?In this episode, Matthew Wright takes a deeper dive into James 1:2–4 and unpacks the real context behind the scripture. Is it just for hard times? Are we supposed to count everything joy—even the annoying, frustrating, or heartbreaking stuff? What does Jesus say about this kind of mindset? We’ll talk about how joy isn’t about ignoring reality—it’s about shifting your perspective to see what God is producing in you through it. We’ll also look at how Jesus Himself endured the cross “for the joy set before Him” and how we can apply that same lens to our lives today.Whether you’re in a trial or just trying to grow through the ordinary chaos of life, this episode will challenge and encourage you to live with deep-rooted, Spirit-filled joy—even when it’s not easy.🎧 Listen now and be reminded: God’s not just getting you through—He’s growing you through.#CountItAllJoy #CommittedPodcast #James1 #JoyInTrials #FaithThatEndures #LiveCommitted

Guy’s Night // Stop The Stumble | Pastor Garrett Weeks
We all stumble—but if we’re not careful, a stumble can turn into a full-on tumble that pulls us further from who God has called us to be. In this message, we’ll talk about the power of taking every thought captive (2 Corinthians 10:5), guarding our minds before the fall happens. Just because you slipped doesn’t mean you’re disqualified. Romans 8:1 reminds us: “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Grace isn’t an excuse to stay down—it’s the strength to get back up.

Guy’s Night // Foot Washing Service
Tonight at Guy’s Night, we shared in a powerful and humbling experience — a Foot Washing Service. Inspired by John 13, where Jesus knelt to wash His disciples’ feet, we followed His example of servant leadership, love, and brotherhood. We took time to pause, reflect, and serve one another — not out of tradition, but from a place of deep humility and unity. It was a moment to lay down pride, forgive, encourage, and remember that we are all equal at the feet of Jesus. For many, it was their first time experiencing this kind of vulnerability. For all of us, it was a reminder: to lead is to serve, and to love like Jesus means getting low. This wasn’t just a ritual — it was a movement of hearts turning toward each other and toward Christ.
