RSVP: Staying Home, Laying Horizontal.
This week, one of us is dreading a family wedding while the other is 130 something days out from her own. Naturally, we're spiralling. From family dynamics to the roles we were pushed into as kids, and the fake smiles we mastered just to get through it...RSVP: Staying Home, Laying Horizontal. Because what happens when you stop performing for people who never deserved the show? Turns out, choosing yourself (aka your couch, your peace, your boundaries), might be the most freeing thing you can do.

The Homeland Effect
This week on C&C, one of us is back from the homeland... and slightly shook. We’re talking about what happens when you see your parents outside their usual parental role, fully in their element, living their best lives, and being unapologetically themselves. It’s wholesome… but also lowkey disorienting. Like wait, who are you??We also get into the whole “missing culture” conversation and why that’s never really hit for us. Growing up in Toronto’s diaspora? The culture was loud, present, and very much in our business at all times. It’s identity, perspective shifts, and realizing your parents are actually… people. Weird.

Centering [Part 2]
Part 2 of our Centering episode. If you haven't listened to Part 1, do that first! We chased something we really wanted… and everything kept going wrong. At what point do you stop and ask ....is this just part of the process, or a sign to pause? This episode is about effort, timing, and the uncomfortable moment when something just isn’t working. Should you keep working at what you want? Isn't that the message the world tells us, or should the things you work towards come together seamlessly? Tap in, get curious, and stay chill while we figure it out together.

Centering [Part 1]
In this 2 part episode of Curiosity & Chill, Shayenda and Nero get real about mental health, creative triggers, and the pressure to “get it right.” From pottery mishaps to emotional flashbacks, they unpack how creativity can surface old wounds and why that’s not a bad thing. They dive into self-doubt, boundaries, burnout, relationships that feel “seamless” (until they’re not), and the fine line between persistence and knowing when to let go. It’s honest, reflective, and a reminder that growth isn’t always polished... sometimes it’s messy clay spinning on a wheel.Tap in, get curious, and stay chill while we figure it out together.

A Phantom Breakup
This week’s episode is a long and vulnerable one. We’re talking phantom breakups. That heavy, breakup-level sadness… over something that didn’t technically end. The kind of low that sneaks up on you and makes you question everything. We unpack when to let yourself feel it versus when it’s time to call in real support, reflect on how much we’ve changed since 2016, and admit the ways we’ve completely mis-bucketed people, including ourselves. From unexpected soulful connections to the fork-in-the-road moments that quietly change our lives, this one felt tender. We close on inherited limits, parental ceilings, and breaking free from narratives that were never ours to carry.

The Cost of Convenience
In this episode of C&C, we sit down for a catch-up that turns into a reflection on the cost of convenience. We talk about the quiet tug of war between loving a product, trusting reviews, and staying aware of the role our spending plays in the bigger picture. 2026 is unfolding at a slower more intentional pace. This episode is less about having answers and more about noticing the questions we're learning to ask.

The Audacity
In this episode of Curiosity & Chill, we get into the real side of weddings beyond the aesthetics and Instagram moments. A true ick moment when a vendor had the audacity to send the most unhinged quote. We talk about sticker shock in wedding planning, the pressure to make fast (and expensive) decisions, and how bachelorettes and big celebrations can quietly turn into stress tests for friendships. From unrealistic expectations to people-pleasing “why did I say yes?” moments, we unpack how money, milestones, and timing can bring out the best and worst in people.Funny, honest, and painfully relatable if you’ve ever been in a wedding party, planned a big event, or felt stretched trying to show up for everyone.

Am I happy?
We're back from the holidays! Still untangling family time, split schedules, and why this season felt… different. In “Am I Happy,” we're reflecting on a quieter holiday, shifting traditions, and the emotional weight that sneaks in when you’re trying to be everywhere at once. As we look back on 2025 and ease into a new year, we pause on one simple nightly question a friend lives by: Am I happy? An honest reflective reset for anyone figuring out what they want for this year while taking a moment to look back on all that happened in the last one. Here's to 2026!

Alls to Say, That's a Wrap on 2025
This week on Curiosity & Chill, we’re doing what any emotionally mature podcast does at the end of its first year: taking a walk down memory lane.In our final episode of the 2025 season, we rewind to our very first (and very un-airable) recording—the one where we sounded like two people defending a thesis and briefly wondered if we’d made a huge mistake. From overthinking every word and nearly abandoning ship, to finding our voice and actually enjoying the chaos, we walk through how this podcast has evolved in real time.We reflect on staying true to our values, from our first episode on friendship (including the critical question of who we’d call to help hide a body 👀) to the conversations that surprised and changed us. We share our favourite episodes, our aha moments, and how this show has quietly shaped our lives. And of course, we talk dreams and goals for the 2026 season. Thanks for being part of year one of Curiosity & Chill. 💛 Happy holidays, stay safe, and we’ll see you in the new year!

Lifetimes
This week on Curiosity & Chill, it feels like we're doing our unofficial end-of-year performance review… but for our lives. One of us is staring down a milestone birthday and realizing they always assumed they’d have a partner by now. Together, we unpack the weird tenderness of growing older, letting go of timelines we swore we’d meet, and the self-induced pressures we place on ourselves. And because the year is wrapping up, we get into intentions: the words, vibes, and delusional optimism we’re carrying into next year. One of us already knows their word for next year and we're reminded that life and opportunities are a blend of luck & effort. This one’s funny, tender, and a little existential as we coast toward year’s end. Don’t worry, there’s one more episode dropping before we officially wrap our first year of C&C and step into the 2026 season!

Home
This week on Curiosity & Chill, we finally hear about the long-awaited trip back to the homeland. S's first time in Sri Lanka, filled with joy, nostalgia, and the ultimate challenge: travelling with her mother.Did she kill her mom? Did her mom kill her? Or did they accidentally film the pilot for Survivor: Mother–Daughter Edition? Tune in to hear who made it out… spiritually, mentally, and physically intact. We also get into the weirdness of tourism. How irritating it is to see it happening in your country, while fully admitting we’ve all been annoying tourists elsewhere. It’s giving hypocrisy, but make it self-aware. Plus, we chat about what it means to grow up in Toronto with a massive diaspora community, the privilege of returning “home” without the culture shock, and the big question: is home a place, a feeling, or just wherever your people are? While one of us was out gallivanting the world, the other finally has actual wedding updates. Yes, real ones. We’re just as confused and delighted as you are.

Curiosity Got the Giggle Out of Us
This week on Curiosity and Chill, we were inspired by ShxtsNGigs and asked each other some random questions, starting with, “Do you consider me your best friend?” What followed was pure chaos: laughs, nostalgia, side-eyes, and a few “what were we thinking?” moments. From dumb decisions to near disasters, we unpack it all with equal parts judgment and love for our younger selves.Don't forget to leave us a review and follow us on Instagram for more BTS snippets @curiosityandchill

Lone Wolf Era
This week on Curiosity and Chill, we went from dragging the wedding industry to discussing our lone wolf era (that sacred time when you just want to do your own thing but still know your pack’s got you). There’s also a Drake-fueled reality check, some zero-roster reflections, and a looming mother–daughter showdown overseas. If you've been enjoying these episodes from C&C, please don't forget to hit that follow button and leave us a review. The algo gods are a whole other beast and we need your help to conquer them!

Happy Birthday, Here’s My Executor
Spiraling from birthday blues to estate planning, this episode asks the real question: who’s getting your money when you peace outta Earth? From who inherits your stuff to why birthday blues hit harder than leg day, we're tackling adulting with a side of Toblerone — though full disclosure, our energy was very low because we really didn't want to record this day. There’s also a love letter to solo travel, full of Tracee Ellis Ross energy, where you’re allowed to book the villa, take the lesson, and pack both the gown and the sweatpants.Do you get birthday blues? We need to know.

Roses, Thorns & Pilates Scorns
One of us spills about a recent trip with the in-laws and the silent stress leading up to it all. A simple rose-bud-thorn reflection had us seeing the trip in a whole new way (proof that even the tiniest moments can spark big takeaways as long as you're asking the right questions!)All this yapping about trips has the other gearing up and reflecting on their own family adventure that's right around the corner. Perfect timing for some much needed pre-trip perspective cause sharing a room with your mom and getting up to 6am prayer music blasting from their iPad ain't for the faint of heart! We also share the saga of a pilates teacher from literal hell (yesssss, she was really that bad). And we ask: what kinda Google reviewer are you? Because the monstrous pilates instructor will be getting an earful.

$omewhere Inbetween Broke and Bougie
This week on Curiosity & Chill, we’re diving into our baggage with money and the silent relationship we all carry. From scarcity mindsets to self-limiting beliefs, we unpack the awkwardness of growing up and not wanting friends to see where we lived (especially when their houses looked like mansions 👀). We also explore how financial literacy (or the total lack of) shaped us and why money is always lingering in the background of our choices even when we think it’s not. And, in true C&C fashion, a fire alarm goes off mid-recording… because apparently our hot takes on money were just that hot.

Wait… Did We Just Accidentally Solve Life?
From showering with luggage in Mexico, to strangers treating red lights like Uber Pool, we spiral into peak chaos in record time. But somewhere between the neuroses we can't seem to shake, wedding bands that came back the wrong size, and uncontrollable laughter, we accidentally stumble onto a real truth: sometimes getting clear on what you don’t want is the fastest way to figure out what you do. Equal parts unhinged and unexpectedly profound, this one’s proof that life lessons can sneak in where you least expect them!

The Playmates We Didn’t Order
This week on C&C, we reflect on last week's episode and why opening up about jealousy was tougher than we expected. We then jump headfirst into sibling dynamics and the roles we play within our family units. You know those sneaky expectations family members throw on us and those pressure-packed roles we somehow secretly put on ourselves? One of us loves the power trip that comes with being the oldest, while the other swears by the perks of being the youngest. But no matter the role, or how complicated the relationship can be, there's something real about sibling bonds that shape who we are.

The Green Eyed Monster
Jealousy often feels like one of the messiest emotions to name. Why is it so hard to say "I'm jealous" out loud, even though we have no problem venting anger or sharing sadness? Join us as we discuss jealousy vs. envy, explore when these feelings show up, and consider what they might actually be trying to tell us. PS- we kick this episode off with a quick lil recap of our Colour Analysis results and some of the surprises that came along with it. Spoiler: One of us is still mourning the loss of mustard yellow from their palette while the other is spiralling after learning black isn’t one of their best colours.

Empathy Burnout & Book Tour Wisdom
What started as a casual debrief from "Candice Brathwaite: Manifesto" book tour turned into some real talk about parenting through trauma, rethinking gender roles, navigating burnout, and trying to live a soft life under hard systems. We get into boundaries, emotional exhaustion, and the very reasonable desire to be spiritual and disgustingly rich.Intentional chats with a side of dark humour—just how we like it.

What you gonna wear?
In this episode, we get into it — the joy, chaos, and low-key identity crisis that comes with figuring out how to dress yourself again. From sweet-but-diabetes-spiking family moments to the emotional admin of choosing an outfit, we unpack how personal style is deeply connected to confidence, culture, and self-expression. What happens when you wake up and realize you have no clue what your style is anymore? Or why your closet is full but nothing feels right? This one’s for anyone who's ever stood in front of a mirror thinking “I used to know how to do this… right?”Tune in if you’ve ever felt like your closet is a graveyard of basics, or if you've lost your fashion confience somewhere between sweatpants and burnout.

Low-Key Losing It, High-Key Healing (Part 2)
This week we’re back with Part 2. A short and sweet episode wrapping up the conversation we started last week on therapy, healing, and growth. If you haven’t listened to Part 1 yet, hit pause and start there first! We’re talking about those pivotal moments that shift the course of your life — the ones you don’t see coming but can’t forget. And of course, we close things out with a little online dating update, including the kind of “yeah, true” text that leaves you more confused than when you started.

Low-Key Losing It, High-Key Healing (Part 1)
It’s been one of those weeks. One of us stumbled upon some unexpected surprises, while the other spent way too long in a grimy ER waiting room, feeling totally drained and secondhand sick from just being there. This week, we open up about our individual paths to therapy — what led us there, how it’s shaped us, and the toolkit of resources we’ve picked up along the way. Therapy’s not a magic fix, but it sure has changed the game. Come along as we take a trip down memory lane, reminiscing on all the ways therapy has given us the tools to navigate life's messiness with more grace.

2+1=2
This week on Curiosity and Chill, we’re talking all things three. Sure, it’s the so-called magic number—but in real life, especially on a trip, it can bring up some not-so-magical feelings. We unpack how being part of a trio can shake up our sense of belonging, why it’s so easy to feel like the odd one out, and how the closeness between two people can unintentionally leave one person floating. Sometimes, two plus one really just feels like two. Then we take a little detour into The Handmaid’s Tale territory—because honestly, parts of the real world are starting to feel a little too familiar.Come for the catch-up, stay for the existential spiral.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, Who’s the Critic of Us All?
This week on Curiosity & Chill, we’re talking bodies — the glow ups, the glow downs, and the frustrating bad body image days that can feel like an emotional rollercoaster. We dive into the wild ride of body image — from the unspoken drama of clothes not fitting, to those spirals we all know too well when society’s out here telling us to be forever 21 (literally and figuratively). And let’s be real: we’ve all had those days when we look in the mirror and feel like we’re at war with ourselves. It’s a universal thing — everyone’s been there. But guess what? We’re tired. Tired of being mean to ourselves. Tired of unlearning every ridiculous thing we’ve been taught about beauty, size, and worth. We’re unpacking alllllllll the weird rules we’ve learned about our bodies, why we’re so damn critical, and how we’re slowly unlearning that nonsense — one stretch mark, love handle, and double chin at a time 💅🏽.Spoiler: Bodies change. Bodies age. And honestly? We’re just trying to feel good in our skin, no matter the season. Our bodies do so much for us.

Kid or Not to Kid
One of us wants to have kids and one of us is starting to realize the 'kid question' pop up in the dating world. We dig into the whole 'selfish vs. selfless' debate that comes up in conversations about motherhood and/or choosing to be childless. Trust, these labels can do more harm than good. But we also talk about the real dream—having a robot that can shave and exfoliate our legs (way better than kids, right?). Oh, and wedding planning? It ain't for the faint of heart, especially when parents want over-the-top celebrations but look miserable in every group photo... send help!

Teach Me How to Culture
Family expectations, cultural clashes, and what actually draws us to people—let’s get into it. Are we really obligated to do things just because we share DNA, or is that just a lifelong guilt trip? In relationships, especially interracial ones, who’s responsible for bridging the cultural gap—should you be teaching or should they be learning? And when it comes to attraction, is it all just physical, or is there something deeper at play? Join us as we navigate love, loyalty, and why some bonds feel unbreakable (even when we kinda wish they were).

The Streets are Talking
Infidelity—it’s messy, complicated, and way more common than we’d like to admit. But what happens when you aren’t the one in the relationship? In this episode, we dive into the why, the how, and the aftermath of stepping out—plus the tricky role of friends and spectators. Do you tell your friend if you know they’re being played? Is emotional betrayal just as bad as the physical? And can relationships really bounce back?Nero and Shayenda go head-to-head with very different takes on when (or if) you should step in. One of us believes in keeping it real, no matter the cost. The other? Let’s just say… not every truth needs a messenger.Buckle up, because this one’s going to be spicy. 🎧

The Clock's Not Okay, and Neither Are We
Parents: They did it all—work, kids, house repairs, and somehow a side hustle—and now they need help opening a PDF? In this episode, we dive into the hilarity and headaches of watching our parents age. From their “I got this” confidence to “Can you order pizza for me?” moments, we’re asking: are we helping too much or just becoming their on-call tech support? And then there’s time—some days it feels like we've got forever, and other days it’s a mad dash to squeeze in work, relationships, and maybe, just maybe, a midday nap if we're lucky. If you’ve ever wondered how life can be both painfully slow and terrifyingly fast, this one’s for you!
