Welcome to Daily Inspirations - Please download and enjoy these readings for your great spiritual benefit. Mokichi Okada, also known as Meishu-sama, composed a large number of waka poems on various subjects, in order to convey the essence of his spiritual philosophy in a short form. He taught that by reading and hearing those inspired teachings of truth, we receive Divine Light through our eyes and ears, and are purified - thus awakening our spirit to the truth.

  1. 47

    Gratitude (D)

Humble as it is, my little home has changed to a happy paradise due to God's grace. How grateful I am! My home has become a little paradise in this world since we were blessed with God's Divine Light. My past, easily likened to a life in hell, has faded like a bad dream. I am now walking on heaven's path.

  2. 46

    Gratitude (C)

Led to the path of salvation and given a new life, I express my gratitude to God through service done with all my heart. I am no greater than a grain of sand from the seashore. But God, please accept this token of gratitude. It is given from my heart. Powerless as I am, with limited strength of my own, O great God of Love, guide me and allow me to serve on this Divine Path of Light.

  3. 45

    Gratitude (B)

My body and spirit would not be here now Were it not for my parents who loved and cared for me. Since I am now enveloped in radiant Divine Light, I have learned to live in peace and harmony With those around me. Our true worth can be measured By our appreciation and gratitude For all the kind deeds bestowed on us by others.

  4. 44

    Gratitude (A)

How grateful I am! God blesses me with good health, And grants me the honor Of channeling healing Divine Light to others. No words, spoken or written, Can describe the great blessings God has given me. How can I praise Him enough for all this happiness? I cursed all the world, and blamed others for my difficulties. Now, all the negativity in my mind is gone, And it is clear.

  5. 43

    Honesty (C)

Honesty is a true treasure, far more priceless than any earthly treasure. I am now spreading the divine teachings of God, so more and more people may be awakened to Truth and become truly honest. In order to help others become more virtuous and honest, those who serve must first rid themselves of all insincerity.

  6. 42

    Honesty (B)

The world is full of deplorable events, all due to the actions of dishonest people. It is within an insincere and dishonest mind that the seeds of all evil are sown, cultivated and grown. The turmoil that fills the world is caused by the dishonest and deceitful words that people speak.

  7. 41

    Honesty (A)

Foolish are the ones who tell lies. They harm themselves with their own tongues. God recognizes sincere, honest people above all others, and grants them boundless, limitless blessings. People may speak of wealth and earthly possessions. However, whatever they have cannot compare with honesty a truly priceless treasure.

  8. 40

Guidance For Living In This World (C)

Following the path God has paved for us, and obeying His divine guidance, leads to peace of mind in this world. No need to wonder why things do not always go as the mind desires. It is usually because the mind and heart are not pure and clear. The only way to live happily in this mortal world is to live in harmony with the Cosmic Law of God.

  9. 39

Guidance For Living In This World (B)

Those who can offer harmonious solutions to any problem or difficulty, are loved and respected by all. People who do not neglect even the smallest, unimportant matters, prove to be those capable of accomplishing great deeds. Those who limit their vision and see only small, transitory things, cannot perceive the way to great, eternal Truth.

  10. 38

Guidance for Living in this World (A)

Know that in this world some things should be said, some not. Those dedicated to the spiritual path should be mindful of their words. Individuals with great spirituality radiate something warm and loving, which can be felt by everyone around them. It is most pleasant to listen to those who speak of things as they are, frankly and truthfully.

  11. 37

    A Way To Live (C)

Those who guide others with kindness, love and impartiality, no matter who they may be, act in accordance with God's Will. To deceive others is the same as stealing their rightful possessions. All such acts are betrayals. Become one who can bear any hardship or misunderstanding with a smile, as though it were nothing.

  12. 36

    A Way To Live (B)

If we follow the right path, with no selfish motive, true to Cosmic Law, God never fails to bless us abundantly. If we learn the meaning of the word 'moderation' and apply it to everything, life in this world goes rather smoothly. Weak are those people who do wrong acts; for they are lacking in self-control.

  13. 35

    A Way To Live (A)

Priceless are those who always think of the welfare of others and pray for all the world. Those who forget their own interests, and uphold what is right and just, are the strongest, bravest people in the world. Small and narrow are the minds of those who boast and make a great show of their merits and achievements.

  14. 34

    Happiness (B)

When people cannot detach themselves from greed and the unlimited desire for material possessions, they ruin themselves in spirit and body. How tragic it is. Many are blinded by greed and temporal pleasures, losing sight of the true path to eternal happiness. (Nidai-sama) Freedom of choice is given to everyone. Thus, we can create either a heaven or hell, according to our own thinking.

  15. 33

    Happiness (A)

In their pursuit of happiness, many attempt to grasp it by relying on material things; but what they seek is not there. How pitiful are those who cut the ties of happiness of their own accord, and choose, instead, to take the road to hell. Civilization does not bring happiness, because today's world is a civilization humanity has created for itself.

  16. 32

    I Have been Blessed (D)

Lost for a long time, I wandered in search of Truth. I am happy now, awakened to the radiant Light of God. Happiness was nothing more than a dream. I can see it clearly now, right in front of my own eyes. I can only cry with joy. Before I even realized it, my life changed from darkness to bright, once I had been awakened by God's radiant Light.

  17. 31

    I Have been Blessed (C)

If I should ever forget the priceless gift God has granted me the special blessing of new life I would be little more than a beast. Just to be alive, in good health, without mishaps, brings me more happiness than all the wealth in the world. Whenever I pray at the sacred altar, my eyes fill with tears at the thought of my life renewed a gift God has given me.

  18. 30

    I Have been Blessed (B)

God has renewed my life. I must give of myself in service to express my gratitude for this wonderful blessing. Despite all the clouds accumulated on my spiritual body in the past, God, through His great love, has abundantly blessed me. God, please accept my gift, a heartfelt token of my love and devotion, even though I can never repay You for all the blessings I have received.

  19. 29

    I Have been Blessed (A)

How happy I am to have been saved by God's healing Light when I was ill and in danger of losing my life. I now receive His abundant blessings. Grateful I am to be healed of the illness that clouded my mind and spirit. I cannot serve God enough to express my gratitude. Nothing is as precious as life itself. Now in this lifetime we can serve God in His Divine Plan for the world.

  20. 28

    Education (B)

Real education teaches people to discern right from wrong. It teaches only the Truth. Physical knowledge alone will never suffice. True education deals with spiritual matters. Let us pave the way to higher understanding. (Nidai-sama) In the world today, those with superficial knowledge are increasing, while those with true wisdom are becoming scarcer.

  21. 27

    Education (A)

True education is learning that good deeds bring prosperity and wrong acts bring failure, all according to Divine Law. (Meishu-sama) How sad it is that present education teaches only surface knowledge, leaving the mind still unawakened to spiritual Truth. (Meishu-sama) The world is so steeped in surface knowledge. Lacking is the true perception of eternal life. (Nidai-sama)

  22. 26

    In Service To Humanity (C)

Born as human beings, It is our duty to strive our utmost for peace in the world And the happiness of others. (Nidai-sama) Those who love humanity and help people in need, Are always loved and protected by God Wherever they may go. (Nidai-sama) A person who strives constantly To help others and better the world, Is like a diamond buried in the sand.

  23. 25

    In Service to Humanity (A)

How big and beautiful are the hearts of those Who put the welfare and happiness of others first, Even before their own. I am doing my best to fulfill the needs and wishes Of all people and make them happy. Know that the happiness we feel when we bring Joy and happiness to people, Is the greatest happiness in the world.

  24. 24

    Makoto (D)

Makoto the spirit of love and integrity is the one power that can build a new and better world. Though the world is full of worries and hardships, we can live with peace of mind because we have the staff of love to lean upon. Whatever problems and troubles may arise in life, those who choose pure love as their guiding principle will never be afraid.

  25. 23

    Makoto (C)

No matter how hard and steep the road may be, I can walk onward with happiness and ease if I have the staff of love to lean upon. The integrity of those who have no faith in God is shallow and superficial. Those with faith have true integrity. Though we may speak thousands of words smoothly, if they do not come from hearts full of makoto, they are empty and powerless.

  26. 22

    Makoto (B)

Nothing is as precious, as priceless as true makoto. Nothing else has the power to pierce even the hardest iron rock. Makoto integrity is a most priceless treasure, nurtured in the hearts of sincere, honest persons in whom there is no falsehood. The basic reason the world's problems remain unsolved is the lack of makoto within the hearts of its leaders.

  27. 21

    Makoto (A)

Words of love spoken from the heart, even if awkward and stumbling, have the power to affect the hearts of others. The essence of living our faith can best be described in one word, makoto love. No other words are needed; no lesser word would suffice. What is missing in our world is makoto love and integrity. That is really what is lacking.

  28. 20

    Faith (B)

In this world there are many people receiving God's love and abundant blessings; yet, they fail to recognize Him. (Nidai-sama) There are people who insist there is no God, not realizing that through their own words they are denying their own existence. The future lives of those without faith are like weeds floating upon moving waters, not knowing where to go.

  29. 19

    Faith (A)

Even in this dark world, let us live with peace of mind, knowing that we are guided by the eternal Light of God. While on earth, let us have true faith in God, doing all that we can quietly, without fanfare, for the welfare of others. (Nidai-sama) In our search for Truth we may read thousands of books; but unless we have faith within, all our seeking ends in failure and illusion. (Nidai-sama)

  30. 18

    The Light of Wisdom (C)

THE LIGHT OF WISDOM (C) A careful study reveals that the ultimate cause of most suffering in the world is ignorance of the spiritual truth. The number of people with true wisdom has been decreasing. Those with surface knowledge alone are increasing. Those who find guidance in God's teachings will never be lost or confused in the wasteland of illusion.

  31. 17

    The Light of Wisdom (B)

Let us walk the dark path safely and serenely, guided by God's teachings, leaning upon the staff of love. (Meishu-sama) In the Age of Light, those who show true wisdom and who radiate great love, will gain their rightful place in this world. (Meishu-sama) Faith brings true wisdom and develops one's awareness. Only with true wisdom can we appreciate the boundless blessings of God. (Nidai-sama)

  32. 16

    The Light of Wisdom (A)

Wisdom yes wisdom is the light that illuminates the way, brightening the dark roads upon which we travel. Those who read the teachings, through and through with care, will gain deeper and deeper wisdom. The wisdom we receive from God is indeed the power that can strengthen and balance us.

  33. 15

    Johrei

JOHREI Johrei cleanses and purifies our spirits. It truly is a baptism by fire. Because the material world is so clouded, only through Johrei miracles will we realize God's power. (Nidai-sama) Purification can best be achieved by channeling God's great Light, Johrei the lifeline to true salvation.

  34. 14

    Truth, Virtue and Beauty (B)

Truth, Virtue and Beauty (B) Only deeds of love can bring forth a world completely filled with truth, virtue and beauty. (Nidai-sama) Paradise on Earth will be a world of beauty a place where the inner hearts of all its inhabitants are just as beautiful! (Meishu-sama) One whose thoughts, words and deeds are always pure, always beautiful, can surely be considered one who lives in paradise. (Meishu-sama)

  35. 13

    Truth, Virtue and Beauty (A)

Truth, Virtue and Beauty (A) By teaching Truth, virtuous living, and the enjoyment of beauty, I guide people to the pathway of heaven.
