The devil was saying, ‘Don’t listen to God, you are doing enough. You are a Christian, preaching the Gospel; that is enough.’ And God said, ‘No, it isn’t!’ He said to me, I want you! I could get no peace until I turned to the Lord and surrendered everything to Him. God did not tell me to be an evangelist. He didn’t call me to be a pastor. What God said to me that day, when I was 15 years old, was, ‘David, I want you; I want all of you; I want your life, your time, your money.’

So many people say that they want the power of God - power to see their prayer's answered, power to see healing miracles, power to be delivered from all that is wrong in their lives - I want to show you that the power is in the Gospel, and once you have received that power, it should be increasing. With each new day, and each new miracle, the power of God should increase in your life.

I was 15, already preaching the Gospel, evangelising in the school. I can remember being on holiday, my brother and I were staying with some Christians, and on the Saturday night we were on the beach. I knew that God was talking to me. I could not get any peace until I left the others: I could feel a battle in my heart – the devil was saying, ‘Don’t listen to God, you are doing enough. You are a Christian, preaching the Gospel; that is enough.’ And God said, ‘No, it isn’t!’ He said to me, I want you! I could get no peace until I turned to the Lord and surrendered everything to Him. 

Jesus said, You did not choose Me, I chose you! Do you understand the significance of this statement? I am an evangelist, but this wasn’t my choice, I knew from the beginning, God had chosen me. He had called me for a purpose. 

Now you have every grace and blessing; every spiritual gift and power for doing his will are yours during this time of waiting for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. And he guarantees right up to the end that you will be counted free from all sin and guilt on that day when he returns. God will surely do this for you, for he always does just what he says, and he is the one who invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, even Christ our Lord. But, dear brothers, I beg you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to stop arguing among yourselves. Let there be real harmony so that there won’t be splits in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose. (1 Corinthians 1.7-11, TLB)

Why are you afraid? God is in control! When Jesus is in the boat with you, even if He is asleep, it doesn't matter the severity of the storm, one word from Jesus and all will be well. All will be well with your family, health, finances, employment. Jesus will speak peace into every tumultuous situation. I believe the challenge to every one of us today is, why are you afraid? What are you afraid of?

Paul opens by greeting the church in Corinth and reminding them that they are called by God to belong to Jesus Christ, enriched with spiritual gifts as they wait for His return. He thanks God for His grace toward them and assures them that God is faithful and will keep them strong. Paul then addresses a serious problem: divisions in the church. Believers are lining up behind different leaders and arguing over who they follow. Paul urges them to be united, reminding them that Christ is not divided and that it was Christ – not any human leader – who died for them. He explains that God did not send him primarily to impress people with clever speech, but to share the message of the cross. That message may seem foolish to those who rely on human wisdom, but to those who are being saved it is the very power of God. Paul emphasises that God deliberately overturns human pride. He often chooses what the world considers weak, foolish, or insignificant to show His power and wisdom. Because of this, no one can boast before God. Everything believers have – wisdom, righteousness, holiness, and redemption – comes from Christ alone, so all boasting should be in the Lord.

My father said that it is not just preaching which brings people to repentance. He said you’ve not yet received the Holy Spirit; he told me, the Bible says Jesus taught His disciples the first lesson in evangelism when He said, “When the Holy Spirit is come, He (not you, David), He, will convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement.” My father said, you need the Holy Spirit. I want to emphasise; it is the Holy Spirit who convicts the world. I believe God is once again going to pour our His Spirit, just as He has done in previous revivals. This is why the Apostle Paul taught in Romans 1.16 that all the Power of God is in the Gospel. It doesn’t matter which country you live in, God is in control, He has Power and He has authority. 

Aged 13, I became anxious to evangelise in my church. Of course I was not allowed. Eventually after much persuasion, it was decided that, as they did not use the church on Fridays, I could have it then. Together with the other young people we advertised, arranged a worship group, and I was the preacher. It all went according to plan, except for one thing. That night I went home really distressed and asked my father what was wrong? I was in tears as I explained, I had preached from the Bible just like he did, and I expected someone would repent, wasn’t that the purpose of preaching? My father sat patiently with me; after all he wasn’t just a pastor, he was Superintendent in charge of all the pastors. Slowly he calmed me down and that night, aged 13, I learned the biggest lesson of my life which would change everything and show me the secret of evangelism. In simple terms, my father said that it is not just preaching which brings people to repentance. He said you’ve not yet received the Holy Spirit; he told me, the Bible says Jesus taught His disciples the first lesson in evangelism when He said, “When the Holy Spirit is come, He (not you, David), He, will convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement.” My father said, you need the Holy Spirit!

If you are believing for a healing miracle, Jesus said in Mark 16:17-18, 'And these signs will follow those who believe, they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.' Jesus doesn't lie. The Bible doesn't lie. If you believe, put your hand on your sickness and pray for your healing in Jesus Name. First, I will pray for you, then I will lead you in prayer. When God wanted to bring His people out of Egypt, Pharaoh said, ‘No!’ God used Moses until Pharaoh said, ‘Yes!’ God uses men. But only men and women willing to yield to His authority. I am not a big man with a little God – I am a little man with a big God! I may be a little David with a Goliath of a problem, but with my God I can kill him! Take the land! Possess the promises of God. So many believers are without power because they don’t understand the promises and power of God to those who believe. Don’t just take ‘spiritual’ blessings – take the land, possess what you need in the material realm as well. When Israel went in, it meant war, a spiritual fight, but it also meant that they could have the milk and the honey, all their material needs supplied. The greatest command is to evangelise! God pours out His Spirit for a reason – so that we can evangelise. Every revival has died out when they stopped evangelising. Possess the land! Preach the Gospel, heal the sick!

Spiritual warfare is not merely against the devil, it is also when you fight your own unbelief. My God answers prayer. If you are totally convinced, God CANNOT fail. But it takes a lot of faith to believe God to work miracles.  Fight against the devil by taking authority over him in Jesus’ Name. Command him to get out and the problem to go! Exercise the gift of faith, NOW, in a new way – this is not just receiving an answer to prayer – it means taking authority. Nobody has ever used the full amount of power that God has! There is no limit to what God can do! Elijah, Moses, David, only used a small part of God’s available power. No man has ever used all of God’s power, not John Wesley nor Smith Wigglesworth, no-one. God wants to show His power on earth, but He can only do it through you! Why not use more of His power than any man before you? Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised, and if Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation is in vain and your faith is in vain...  If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile, and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have died in Christ have perished. If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died... What I am saying, brothers and sisters, is this: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Look, I will tell you a mystery! We will not all die, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable body must put on imperishability, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When this perishable body puts on imperishability and this mortal body puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will be fulfilled: “Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15, NRSV.)

You have to make a conscious decision, either to continue to live ‘normally’ or to live in a faith-experience of letting God’s Word govern your decisions. It is a command of God that we must possess and receive all that God has for us. It is not an option – obey! It takes faith to possess all that God has given and act on it. Real faith does not come easily, but it is a specific gift from God through the Holy Spirit and you can ask for it, as I do. First you must come into an experience of receiving the Holy Spirit, then you can receive His gifts. In 1 Corinthians 12 there are nine gifts. One is speaking with other tongues, but when you receive this, why not also ask for the gift of faith? If you will fight this spiritual battle, God will give a miracle – but choosing to have miracles is the hard way! Not many people have the faith to fight this battle and win. Spiritual warfare is not merely against the devil, it is also when you fight your own unbelief. My God answers prayer. If you are totally convinced, God CANNOT fail. What happens when we die? As Christians we believe in the resurrection of Christ. We know from reading the Gospel that there were many witnesses to the resurrection. And because Christ was raised, we can know with certainty that we too will be raised from the dead.  Paul argues that if there is no resurrection, then Christ has not been raised, and if Christ has not been raised, faith is futile, sin remains unforgiven, the apostles are false witnesses, and Christians are to be pitied above all people. The resurrection, therefore, is not optional – it is foundational. Paul proclaims that Christ has been raised as the “firstfruits”, guaranteeing the future resurrection of all who belong to Him. Just as death came through Adam, resurrection life comes through Christ. At the end, Christ will defeat every enemy, including death itself, and deliver the kingdom to the Father. Paul addresses questions about the nature of the resurrection body, explaining that it will be transformed – imperishable, glorious, powerful, and spiritual – yet still bodily. Believers will be changed at Christ’s return, when mortality puts on immortality.

It is easy for us as believers to read and hear about these things that happened in the Bible without personally identifying with them. But if God did these things in the past, why not believe for them today? Some Christians would dismiss miracles like speaking in tongues and healing by saying either that these were in the past, or that they were ‘dispensational’, that they can only happen at certain times! The real truth is that they do not want these things to happen, it would disturb the religious ‘order’ of their lives!  I came into a totally new experience of faith, the realisation that if God says it – then He will always do it! This is what faith is, not faith in a promise or a healing, but faith in God as a person, that my God is a God of His Word, who will always keep a given promise! This means that you have to make a conscious decision, either to continue to live ‘normally’ or to live in a faith-experience of letting God’s Word govern your decisions. It is a command of God that we must possess and receive all that God has for us. 

When I first realised that the promises of both the Old and New Testaments were not just for the Jews in the past and for the first disciples, but also for me as an inheritor of the same promises as a ‘son of God’, it opened up a whole new experience for me. Whilst receiving my healing from throat cancer many years ago began to lead me into a more positive experience, it was the miracle which finally brought me out of a communist prison which confirmed this. It challenged my own faith, that God could actually physically open my prison doors in Czechoslovakia. It happened to Paul and Silas in Philippi 2000 years ago (Acts 16), why could it not literally happen for me today? – And it did, God even used British Prime Minister Harold Wilson to make it more dramatic and provide unquestionable proof. It is a challenge! It is easy for us as believers to read and hear about these things that happened in the Bible without personally identifying with them. But if God did these things in the past, why not believe for them today? 

How many of you want the fire and power of God in your life? I am going to pray that God will fill you afresh: 'Father, look at these people. Satisfy the desire of their heart for more of You. Fall afresh on their lives. Fill them with the fire of the Holy Spirit, and let that fire spread from their lives into the lives of their churches, communities and nations. Everything in the Bible can happen today! Don’t limit God. I want to challenge you to a new kind of faith. We are commanded to go in and possess all the blessings which God has promised. Get into the Word of God, search for and mark every promise that you want in your life in red – then every promise you don’t want, cross it out – no, NO!! I want you to have the faith to go and take them ALL! I hear Christians saying I can’t – but my Bible says I can do all things through Christ.   God’s command to the Israelites was to go in and possess the land (Deuteronomy 3:18). His command to believers is the same! There are three things we must do: 1. Possess the spiritual blessing We need to recognise who we are and what we are in Christ. It is important to understand the blessings which God has given us. God has given us so many promises, it is not presumptuous to accept them by faith, then go and take them. Too many sit and wait, asking, and never receiving. I remember as a boy the time when I wanted to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The old believers said, ‘Wait, we must have waiting meetings.’ But I am impatient and soon became tired of waiting. I said, ‘Easter is coming, I will go to London to one of the big conventions and not return until I receive.’ With that positive attitude I went – and received. We must not accept the negative but emphasise the positive! It is so easy to know what is in the Bible, but then dismiss it. We read it, study it, preach it, ‘spiritualise’ it, until there is a danger that we make it mean something else. But everything in the Bible can happen today! Don’t limit God. He emphasises that the resurrection is a historical reality, witnessed by many – and that this message is essential to salvation.

‘The Lord has given you the land! Possess it! Go in armed ready for war!’ (Deuteronomy 3:18). It is God’s command, not a request, to go and take the land! I see this as a challenge in my personal life as well as in my ministry in Russia. Many ask why I see miracles of healing, thousands repent, and revival comes. When God sent me to Russia He said, ‘GO – take the land!’ There is no choice – He commanded me! What does it mean to ‘possess’ the land? Look at it by faith – take it by action – fight for it by power! When I look at the promises of God, and the Bible is full of them, I want all the good things – so I have been going in and taking them! Power for miracles and healing, I’m in there, taking it! Anointing from the Holy Spirit, yes I pray, then I go in and take it! Revival – again I go and possess the promise. I want to challenge you to a new kind of faith. We are commanded to go in and possess all the blessings which God has promised. 'When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance, (Acts 2, NKJV).

Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.” But where is that power? I have more spiritual power and authority now than at any other time in my life. When you truly know God and live for Him, the power doesn’t fade. In fact, the older I get, the greater the fire and the strength of His power within me. Here’s the secret: in the Old Testament, God commanded the Temple priests to never let the fire on the altar go out. That same principle applies to us today. Guard the fire in your life. Keep it alive. Don’t let it fade. Nurture it through prayer, faith, and devotion – and you’ll discover a power that never diminishes, only grows stronger with time.

I want to read to you one verse, Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.  What a challenge this is! Even in times of crisis, I am not ashamed of the Gospel – and I don’t want you to be ashamed either. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is where the power of God is revealed. All the power of God – the strength to transform, to heal, to save – is contained within the Gospel. It’s not just words; it’s the very life-changing, world-shaping power of God at work.

God's message to you is love, forgiveness, healing; He promises to restore the years the locusts have eaten. Jesus will bind up your wounds and heal your bruises. 'To all who mourn in Israel, He will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of despair ... You will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities long ago destroyed ... When I’m in Austria during the summer, I like to walk the ski slopes. There’s one route that stretches 22 kilometres, and it’s not easy. It takes effort, endurance, and determination. So how do I make it? By setting a steady pace – and then keeping it, step by step by step. It’s the same in your spiritual life. The journey doesn’t begin at the summit; it begins with a single step. And then another. And another. You may not go as far as someone else, but what matters is that you’ve begun. Keep moving forward, keep your pace, and you’ll find yourself climbing higher than you ever thought possible. I think it was General Booth who said, in your vision for God, aim for the moon – you may not reach it, but you might make it as far as the lamppost. Aim only for the lamppost, and you’ll never lift your feet off the ground. Aim high. Take that step. You’re already on your way, and you’ll discover that the Lord reaches down His hand to lift you even higher.

I challenge you: press beyond where you are in your faith and in your prayer life. Don’t settle for where you’ve been. Let’s keep climbing. Let’s go higher. So how do you get up this “mountain”? When you pray, ask God to lift you onto higher ground – a deeper, stronger faith. Think about climbing a mountain: how do you reach the top? When I’m in Austria, there’s a place I call my “prayer mountain.” I’ve noticed there are two ways up: you can take the cable car, or you can choose the footpath and walk. Spiritually, I long to be at the summit – to reach the highest place and draw as close to God as possible. So I challenge you: press beyond where you are in your faith and in your prayer life. Don’t settle for where you’ve been. Let’s keep climbing. Let’s go higher.

We need a final Holy Ghost revival to sweep the final ones into the Kingdom of God, as promised in the prophecies of Joel! Prophecy is unfolding fast, and in a different way to what most expected. I will speak more about this here in the UK, because it seems to me that the most neglected prophet is Joel, but all my life I have been greatly influenced by him. Before Covid, we filled the Westminster Central Hall in London to overflowing with more than 2,000 people to pray for our nation. It’s in my heart – if God tells me – to fill it again for prayer, prophecy and healing miracles. But I will only do it if He tells me. I must listen to His Voice! When we preach the Gospel of Jesus in the Power of the Holy Spirit, GOD is in the Power, He’s in the Fire! He’s in the miracles! God worked the miracle that got me out of the communist prison in 1973 when British Prime Minister Harold Wilson came for me. When I was healed of throat cancer in 1964 and lung cancer in 2003, God was there. GOD did it! When God is speaking to Moses, He’s saying, “I existed BEFORE your fathers, BEFORE Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I existed before everything, and I AM the Creator of everything. This is my Name forever!” He’s making known His Eternal Presence! Without beginning, without end. He has and is ALL Power, ALL Authority – that’s who we worship!

‘Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the Power, these are Yours by right, but the GLORY is what we give You as the answer comes and You receive the Glory from us!’ I felt confident at that moment that without question I would receive from Him exactly what I was asking, so that then I could give Him all the Glory! ‘When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord raises up a standard against Him!’ (Isaiah 59:19). The expression ‘raising the standard’ means, in military terms, going to war. So that, when the devil attacks, then God goes into action and you see miracles, which are the evidence of this. When you don’t see the devil, you don’t see any miracles either. If you sit in comfort with no problems in your life, you won’t need any miracles! Do you want to see miracles? Do you want to live on the edge, in the danger zone and see the God of power in action? The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

The Bible says that ‘the things that are impossible with men are possible with God’. For one year I spent much time in prayer and fasting, seeking an answer to a desperate need. Twice I said to the Lord that I would fast until the answer came, I was so desperate, but I know that my God is a prayer-answering God! The first time I had to cease fasting before the answer came, only because I had to go to Ukraine for three weeks of intensive evangelism. The second time was after my return: tired and exhausted from the travelling and preaching and the effects of food poisoning, I re-commenced my fast, determined to continue until the answer came. After ten days, as I was praying and worshipping Him, I felt a tremendous sense of the Lord’s presence and I began to say, ‘Yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory.’ Suddenly it was as if this was the answer, and I began to say it again, ‘Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the Power, these are Yours by right, but the GLORY is what we give You as the answer comes and You receive the Glory from us!’ I felt confident at that moment that without question I would receive from Him exactly what I was asking, so that then I could give Him all the Glory!

When you know God, when you trust Him, all the blessing of God will come into your life. He will heal your sickness, take away your pain. He will deliver your nation. But first, the deliverance begins in your heart. The peace has to come into your heart. The repentance has to come into your heart. Then God will change your nation. I want the Bible-believing, miracle-working, powerful Gospel according to God’s Word! You can pray for an easy life, ask Him to prevent the problems, ask for a quiet time... but that means where there are no problems, there are no miracles! We must go by faith, in obedience to what God is telling us to do. And God always makes a way. I have learned that everything God does is a miracle! If it’s not a miracle, then you or I could do it! In my life I know that it is God working when the totally impossible happens! Whatever the problem, God never, ever fails – it’s impossible! The day God fails, He’s no longer God. It’s in God’s Word, it’s His character. He’s the God of miracles! Yes, I have problems – these mean I spend much time in prayer and fasting. Why? Because you cannot have miracles without first having problems! Every problem drives me to prayer which then brings another miracle! But people aren’t prepared to pay the price. And because they don’t want the problems, they don’t see the miracles. The Bible says that ‘the things that are impossible with men are possible with God’.

If you believe that Jesus died on the cross, then salvation means death, you must die with Him. Colossians 2:12 says we’re buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him into new life.  My old sinful life is dead – I am dead – with Christ! But just like Jesus, I have been raised from the dead and so like Paul, can say, ‘I live, yet not I, Christ lives in me!’ This is what I preach, the old-fashioned Gospel according to the Word of God. Every convert is a new creation, that is why REVIVAL FIRE is in Russia and the Ukraine! HE is within them and they are only alive in HIM. Dead to self, but CHRIST LIVES in US!  I have Christ IN me and I have the Holy Spirit IN me! That is the secret of fifty years of miracle ministry. I do not want any new Gospel – I want the Bible-believing, miracle-working, powerful Gospel according to God’s Word! You can pray for an easy life, ask Him to prevent the problems, ask for a quiet time... but that means where there are no problems, there are no miracles! We must go by faith, in obedience to what God is telling us to do. And God always makes a way. 

Humbly Moses says, “Who am I that I should do this?” This is a question we all must ask. I know God has called me, I know what He has called me to do, but who am I? God’s promise to Moses is, “I WILL BE WITH YOU.” In 75 years of ministry, God has always been with me, there has never been a time when I’ve not been conscious of His Presence, His Power, His Leading. Moses continues, “When I come to the children of Israel and tell them that the God of their fathers has sent me, they will want to know, what is Your Name? What shall I say? Who ARE You?” God replies, “I AM that I AM – Ehyeh asher Ehyeh.” I AM THAT I AM is the English translation, and I’ve always been intrigued by it. I AM is EXISTENCE. God always has been, in the past, and always will be – in the future! Not created. He EXISTED before the very beginning of time. We cannot imagine it, but God has always been and always will be! He says to Moses, “Tell them, I AM, Ehyeh, has sent you.” God’s Name in Hebrew can equally be translated as ‘I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE’, as Biblical Hebrew has no future tense, instead a continuous present. I am whoever I want to be, whatever I want to be, whenever I want to be. Whatever I want and say, I do. I am EVERYTHING. I am EVERYWHERE. Hence the fact that in Exodus 3, God is in the burning bush! And speaks from the fire! But to Elijah God does not speak from the wind, earthquake or fire – but in a still small voice. 

Jesus said, ‘He that believeth on Me, out of his inner being shall flow rivers of living water.’ The Holy Spirit is the source, but the Word of God says that when we have received the Holy Spirit, the source is in us! External experiences are of the world, the flesh or the devil. The inner experience is the fresh river source, the sweet blessing, the mighty power of God, the Holy Spirit within you!

In Exodus 3 we find Moses keeping his father-in-law’s sheep and he comes to Horeb, the mountain of God. He sees a bush on fire but not consumed by the fire. Fires burn and destroy, but not this one. So he comes closer, and God calls him from the fire, “Take your shoes off, you are walking on holy ground,” and He introduces Himself, “I am the God of your father, I am the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” God is revealing Himself to Moses in a very personal way, as the God who has revealed Himself to, and been known by, the predecessors. God says, “I have seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, and I know their sorrows, and for this reason I am come down to deliver them.” (I preach on this verse in Ukraine!) The children of Israel are in affliction, they’re slaves in the land of Egypt. In the English, God doesn’t say, “I WILL come down,” but “I AM (already) come down!” He’s already here. He is the God of the past, the present and the future! His promise to the predecessors was to deliver Israel, to take them into Canaan and give them their own territory.  But here God commands Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt!” Moses is just a shepherd, a man who had fled Egypt, because 40 years before he killed an Egyptian. So humbly he says, “Who am I that I should do this?” This is a question we all must ask. I know God has called me, I know what He has called me to do, but who am I? There is only one Holy Spirit – HE is IN me! Not outside, I am not waiting for another Holy Spirit – HE, the Spirit who raised up Jesus from the dead, who was in Paul and Peter, that mighty, miracle-working power of the Great God I am boasting about, is in me now, and HE has been in me for over fifty years! I cannot receive any greater power than that I already have, in me now! That is why I do not seek a new experience and that is why the FIRE has not gone out for fifty years! Yes, I am different now to what I was fifty years ago. But notice HE is not different, I am! During fifty years HE has cleaned out a lot of my self and pride, my own works, and because I am not perfect, He will continue to do so until I am raptured into glory. However, HE does not change – I do! Many believers are seeking a new anointing, a new power, something extra to what they already have, a Toronto Blessing, or other phenomena. I went to Jerusalem forty years ago without receiving a new anointing. Why? What I am seeking is already within me! I have it now, I am not waiting for a new anointing, I have all the power I need in my spirit now! How? Well fifty years ago I was seeking to be filled, baptised with the Holy Spirit. When I received, it was a manifestation of fire, of power, speaking with tongues like they did on the Day of Pentecost – and miracles soon began to follow. What a baptism of Power and of Fire I received that day! I received the Holy Spirit, all the mighty Power of God, everything. Now that powerful anointing which before had been outside of me, that third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, was now IN ME! There is only one Holy Spirit – HE is IN me! Not outside, I am not waiting for another Holy Spirit – HE, the Spirit who raised up Jesus from the dead, who was in Paul and Peter, that mighty, miracle-working power of the Great God I am boasting about, is in me now.

Forgiveness is at the heart of the Gospel, yet it is one of the hardest things for us to do. How can we forgive others when they have hurt us so badly? But unless we forgive, we ourselves cannot be forgiven; Jesus taught in Matthew 6, 'If you forgive those who have sinned against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.' Our example of how to love and forgive is Jesus. Romans 5:8-10 teaches, 'God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. For since we were restored to friendship with God by the death of His Son while we were still His enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by His life. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God - all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends of God.' - We must forgive and renew friendship, just as God did for us. The challenge today is for believers to demonstrate who the REAL Jesus is. It’s a responsibility we cannot refuse or delegate, because the people in the world are confused by religion, by all the different philosophies – we’re living in a multi-cultural society and they don’t know who the REAL Jesus is! Religions are merely a man-made interpretation, therefore there are many. Theology is the theory without the practice. The God I know, admire, worship and serve is a God of Fire – Power – Action. And He requires action and obedience from us so others can find this real God.  There is a real danger that in our attempts to attract others into our faith we tend to water it down, whereas desperate people need strong faith in a strong powerful God. So this weak Gospel repels rather than attracts those we should be winning. I believe the reason we see so many young people converted in Russia is that they are looking for a real, convincing faith, which they find, and they are converted to faith in this God of power.

I like to boast about the power of my God because He is a God of action! Yes, God is a God of love, of compassion. But the God I know and serve, the God of the Bible, is not passive, but militant in action on our behalf. A God of love, but also a God of power. Today it’s time that we began to rise up and recognise the power and authority that we have in Jesus’ Name. Power to preach a life-changing Gospel, power to bring healing miracles in order that He might receive the glory, and so that we as ‘ordinary’ people might have something dynamic to demonstrate in our lives! When Jesus healed the paralytic man (Matthew 9:6) He said, ‘So that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth... rise up and walk!’ Today we must become men and women of action to continue the demonstration begun by Jesus, so that non-believers will desire to have what we have! The challenge today is for believers to demonstrate who the REAL Jesus is. 

Behold He is alive! Christ is risen from the dead! He broke the chains of death, He is risen, risen from the dead! I believe in life after death! The Scripture teaches that death is not the end, it is only a beginning, the path to life. There is a resurrection of the dead. - That is the urgency of the message of Jesus, the message to every one of you listening. Jesus said, 'After three days I will live again' - and on the third day He arose, and He is alive forevermore. The message to all of you listening is one of comfort – especially for those who have lost loved ones: a mother, a father, even a child. Before Jesus died, He promised that after three days, He would rise again. And on the third day, He came out of the grave – He is alive. This is the assurance that there is life after death for all who believe in Him.

If you let the power of God touch you, by a miracle He will change your life. You need the touch and the power of God. But first you have to trust Him. You have to believe He can work the miracle. The Gospel is the power of God to change lives. God can touch you, He can change your life. There is no limit to what God can do when you trust Him.  If you want God to change your life say this prayer with me: 'On the cross my Jesus died. You gave Your life for all mankind. I believe in life after death! The Scripture teaches that death is not the end, it is only a beginning. There is a resurrection of the dead. Death is only the path to life. And that is the urgency of the message of Christ to everyone of us. Those of us who have lost family members: mother, father, some have lost their children – God sent Jesus: He was born in Bethlehem, grew up in Nazareth, died in Jerusalem, and on the third day He arose. And His resurrection is proof there is life after death.
