Love, Hurt & Everything In Between (Friendship Edition)

Before anything… this video wasn’t recorded when you’re watching it. I’m currently writing exams, so please say a word of prayer for me because I need it like mad.In this episode, I dive into something I’ve talked about before, but this time… it’s personal.I asked my roommates what I should talk about, and friendship came up and while I’ve shared my thoughts in Girl Friendships: A Whole Lot, this episode is different. This time, I’m talking about real experiences… the ones that actually hurt. From moments where I felt dismissed, to situations where I had to question what friendship really means, to learning the hard way that you can’t expect people to be you, I unpack it all.I talk about the difference between friends and acquaintances, the importance (and difficulty) of communication, reciprocity, and knowing when to let go especially when you’re holding on to who someone used to be. There’s also a bit of chaos, growth, self-reflection, and accountability, because I’m not perfect either. At the end of it all, this episode is about what friendship should feel like peace, love, understanding, and honesty and the kind of friend we should all strive to be.And again… please don’t forget to say a prayer for me.

A Signature Is Not Just Ink

In this episode, I talk about something really important, what you should look out for before working for a small business or organization. Using my roommate’s experience, I share how easy it is to fall into situations involving professional bullying, lack of payment, and being taken advantage of… especially when you don’t fully understand what you’re signing up for or when you sign cause of a personal relationship. This is your reminder to always read legal documents carefully and if you can, have a legal practitioner go through them. Your signature isn’t just a formality, it’s consent.Somewhere in between all the seriousness, I also share a chaotic and funny moment from a trip to Onitsha for Mothering Sunday, including a second-daughter-and-father banter over my outfit. I also touch on the complexity of law questions (because why are they like that?) and relate it to a recent quiz I wrote. It’s advice, it’s real-life experiences, it’s small chaos… basically, it’s a little bit of everything. And yes, don’t forget to follow me on all platforms and look out for our visual episode for the month of April.

One Lie, One Strange Meal, One Very Comfortable Man

This episode is chaos., I won’t even lie. From confidently spreading wrong information about becoming a SAN, to discovering people are eating beans and garri in ways I cannot defend, and don’t plan on defending, to hearing about a man who moved in “temporarily” with his babe and never left and still isn’t thinking of leaving. Yeah, It’s that kind of episode and believe me, it’s fun.

  4. 69

    Happy,annoyed and broken straw

In this episode, I talk about my week and honestly… it’s been a lot, when hasn’t it? With exams around the corner, my mental health is already starting to feel the pressure and my nonchalance isn’t really helping. On top of that, the hostel situation in school just keeps getting worse, the cleaners still haven’t been paid for months and the state of the hostels are nothing to write home about, furthermore attempts where made by both the school officials and the student body government to silence students from protesting instead of actually fixing the problem(paying the cleaners). I also went further to how I spent Easter break at home (and yes, I definitely did throw shades to those who spent theirs in school ). Finally, I ended it with a personal tragedy my aesthetically pleasing cup is now incomplete because I broke the straw and it’s still annoying. I guess it’s just a regular Wednesday here, so strap in.

  5. 68

    Everything Is Happening at Once

This episode is all over the place… but so is life right now.I talk about everything from small, random moments to heavy realities, students cleaning their own hostels, systems failing, and the weight of what’s happening around us.At some point, it stops being just stories and becomes our reality … like we’re all trying to function in the middle of things falling apart and all we have to do is pray. This is a chaotic episode, but also a call to our senses, how long will it go on?

  6. 67

I Am the Problem… and the Solution

In this episode, I sit down with myself and say the things I don’t always say out loud. From relying too much on my emotions, to staying longer than I should, to letting people take up space in my head… this is me being honest about my patterns, my flaws, and the parts of me I know I need to work on.But it’s not just about what I struggle with, it’s also about who I am outside of all that. The self-awareness, the depth, the emotions, the independence, and the parts of me I’m actually very proud of.Because the truth is… I’m not perfect, but I’m aware, and that counts as something

  7. 66

    This week was……A lot

In this episode, I take you through my week and honestly, it was a lot. From hearing about a death at the hospital my roommate is posted to, to dealing with four days of no electricity in school, to finding out about the school cleaners haven’t been paid for five months now with nothing been done about it. I also finally went for my eye check up after weeks of ignoring the pain signals or warning signs my eyes has been giving me, and of course, I chipped in the stress of an upcoming quiz I’m definitely not ready for but after the episode, I discovered it has been cancelled. And to end on a very me note, I share with you all my latest buy…a girly glass cup that oozes of aesthetics and that fulfilling feeling. It’s a typical Wednesday here, so get ready for that rant session.

A Wine Lover’s Take on Parenting

In this episode, I sit down with author Danielle Frank, the mind behind A Wine Lover’s Guide to Parenting.Together, we explore the unexpected connection between wine, children, and the lessons life teaches us along the way. Danielle shares how her love for wine inspired her writing, the stories behind her book, and how experiences with children shaped the way she sees growth, patience, and courage. From pairing parenting moments with different types of wine to reflecting on what adults can learn from children, this conversation is filled with humor, insight, and honest reflections about navigating life.Whether you’re a parent, someone who loves kids, or simply trying to figure life out one day at a time, this episode reminds us that sometimes the best lessons come from the most unexpected places and unexpected sips. So grab your favorite drink, sit back, and join us for a conversation about life, laughter, learning, and the courage to grow.

  9. 64

Inside the mind of a law student

In this episode, I spoke with five law students and asked the questions we don’t usually answer out loud.Is law passion or pressure? Is it actually hard, or are we just being stretched to our limits? And after all this, do we even want to practice? The audio is a little chaotic, people talking over each other, background noise, scattered thoughts, but honestly, that’s exactly what law school feels like. This episode captures the confusion, the stress, the doubt, and the small moments of clarity inside a law student’s mind.If you’re studying law, thinking about it or just existing, this is for you.

  10. 63

    The conversation we avoid

This shouldn’t even have to be a topic, but here we are. In this episode, I talk about the reality of safety how even when we try to be careful, things still happen. I share practical steps we can take to protect ourselves, from sharing locations to choosing safer environments. And most importantly, I talk about what to do if the worst happens including who to contact and how to preserve evidence. This is not just an episode, It’s survival. Speak up. Stay informed. Stay safe.

  11. 62

    A little bit of survival

In this episode, I share a scary experience of almost being stolen from in a keke and how trusting my instincts and also being alert helped me catch it early. I also talk about school starting again and the reality of 8am–4pm classes, the stress that comes with it, and adjusting back into routine after being out of it for so long. To end on a lighter note, I recommend The Lincoln Lawyer because sometimes you just need a Mickey Haller to pick you up from the reality of life.

  12. 61

    Fatherhood in Small, Heavy Moments

We don’t talk about fathers enough, so this episode is about mine. From going to the market for one thing and coming back with everything, to casually saying he wants to die at 90 so he won’t be a burden.I reflect on the small, everyday moments that carry weight, love shown through provision, words said lightly that linger, and the quiet fears parents hold. It’s funny, it’s tender, and it’s a reminder that fatherhood often lives in the little things.

  13. 60

    Who Is Raising These People?

This episode starts heavy. I talk about a disturbing story involving an adult and a 14-year-old, why it’s wrong, illegal, disturbing, and not something we should ever normalize. From there, I share a personal encounter with a rude child and why home training actually matters. I wrap it up on a lighter note with my thoughts on Chicken Republic ice cream, because sometimes, after hard conversations, you need small joys.

  14. 59

  15. 58

    Living Our Own Lives

In this episode, I dive into the complex world of adulthood and the weight of parental expectations. We explore how the cycle of living our parents’ dreams can shape our own lives and how it’s essential to break free and live authentically. From personal stories about compromise like my dad’s reaction to fixing our nails, to the broader impact of generational expectations, this episode is all about finding balance, making your own choices, and letting the next generation do the same.Subscribe to our YouTube channel to watch our first ever visual episode

  16. 57

    The Most Uncomfortable Gift

Jesus received myrrh when He was born a burial spice meant for the dead. In this episode, I explore how shocking that gift really was and what it teaches us about life, death, and purpose. We don’t like talking about death, but avoiding it doesn’t stop it. This episode is about facing the uncomfortable, valuing time, and living with intention while we still can.

  17. 56

    Let’s Do This Properly

As we step into a new age and season of life, things start to feel different. In this episode, I talk about enforcing boundaries, unlearning patterns, healing from last year, creating vision, and learning to grow intentionally one step at a time. A reminder that growth doesn’t have to be rushed to be real.

  18. 55

With My People There Is Love

A family episode filled with advice, encouragement, laughter, and love closing the year surrounded by people who matter.Happy New year and may this year be the best year yet❤️.

  19. 54

    Everywhere, As Usual

This episode is literally me being everywhere. From mums sending errands even when they’re not home. I talk about Igbo greetings people are replying wrongly (kachifo is not answered with kachifo please ), missed calls in this economy and insecurity, a scary police stop, a stolen phone that somehow found its way back, and Christmas with cousins that definitely don’t share sense equally. Random, funny, and very real as usual.

  20. 53

The Other Half of the Cycle

Welcome to the part of the cycle where estrogen is that girl and progesterone humbles you. In this episode, I break down ovulation and the luteal phase the hormones involved, the symptoms you feel, the reason libido spikes, and why bloating, acne, and mood swings suddenly appear out of nowhere. We’re talking eggs, hormones, cervical mucus, fertility facts, and real-life body truths they didn’t teach us in school.

  21. 52

    Your Monthly Script

In this episode, I am breaking down the female cycle the way school should’ve. I explain what actually happens during each phase, why you feel drained during your period, why you suddenly feel like yourself again afterward, and what your hormones are doing behind the scenes. We talk Follicular, Ovulation, Luteal and Menstrual in real language: building, releasing, protecting and shedding. I also touch on early periods, PMS, real symptoms, why heat helps cramps and why your body literally purges sometimes. If you’re a girl, you NEED to know this about your body, and if you are a boy, sit back and learn something new.

  22. 51

    Before the Calendar Flips

In this episode, we’re doing the real end-of-year clean-up, the forgiveness, the reflection, the accountability, the soft reset. I talk about the mistakes you need to release, the small wins you should finally celebrate, and the habits you have to be honest about. I share simple rituals that actually help like writing to your future self, listing your progress, checking in with who you’ve become, and trying one new thing before the year ends. It’s a reminder to step into the new year lighter, clearer, and kinder to yourself. The link of the website as promised: https://www.futureme.org/letters/new

  23. 50

    This is our reality

In this episode, I talk about the reality we’re living in from the chaos in this country to the horrifying story of a three-year-old who wasn’t protected in the one place she should’ve been safe. I also share a situation my aunt found herself in with a man who refused to let her leave until she “returned” the money he spent during their outing .This whole episode is a reminder that the world is getting scarier by the day, and we all need to move smarter. I break down some of my safety tips and you better listen.

  24. 49

    Birthday Girl Diaries

I looked back at my old birthdays, made peace with some things, thanked God for everything, and ended up giving advice I should probably listen to myself. A wholesome episode, no stress.

  25. 48

    Unfiltered Air & Unfiltered Thoughts

This is just like every other episode, where I unpack my very eventful week and how I discovered new things in between habits, it’s my being unapologetically me and being effortlessly funny. As we talk about my dad’s faulty but amazing cooking skills, my gym pain, smokers polluting the air without thinking, and how we should be allowed to fart without thinking as well cause as the saying goes, what’s good for the Goose is also good for the Gander.🥂

  26. 47

    Love Supervised

This episode dives into the last chapter of my very intentional childhood where structure met softness. From CCTV cameras to orange juice duty, my dad’s market runs, and those monthly “speak-your-mind” sessions, everything had a rhythm. It wasn’t strict, it was just our version of love… with a touch of supervision. I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way

  27. 46

    Justice For Ochanya

This episode is an urgent call for justice. She Deserved Better. The Fight for Ochanya tells the heartbreaking story of 13-year-old Elizabeth Ochanya Ogbanje, who was failed by her maternal family and the Nigerian justice system. From age eight, she suffered years of sexual abuse in silence, violated by those meant to protect her, ignored by those meant to deliver justice.Despite forensic proof, her abusers were acquitted, and her aunt convicted only of negligence. Ochanya died in pain from complications of VVF (vesico-vaginal fistula), a preventable condition caused by years of trauma. But this story doesn’t end here. We can still fight for her.✊🏽 Sign the petition to reopen the case and demand justice for Achaya.https://c.org/7Rfkb2Kx84Justice isn’t optional. It’s overdue.

  28. 45

    Programmed by love

Growing up in an African home is the perfect balance of being deeply cared for and tightly supervised. In this episode, I talk about my mum’s iconic electronic bell era, being over-fed with snacks, morning prayers that shaped our day, and why phones were considered a luxury only granted after graduation. This is childhood under structure, comfort laced with control, love wrapped in discipline and how it secretly shaped who I am today.

  29. 44

    My parents wrote the script

In this episode, I take you back to my African childhood, where Sunday Mass wasn’t just attended, it was examined, quail eggs were breakfast shots, and vegetables were a mandatory side dish. From decoding Bible verses for my parents to secretly burying greens in the dustbin, and playing in sand like it was Disneyland, this episode is a hilarious and emotional reminder that African parenting was a mix of discipline and pure childhood freedom.

  30. 43

A Little Bit of Home, A Lot of Realizations

This episode has everything, exams done, kittens acquired, lazy hairdressers, ASUU drama, and a full-blown rant about people who text in lowercase. Basically, it’s me back home, loud, learning, and lowkey losing it and definitely enjoying it.

  31. 42

    This Episode Wasn’t Planned

This episode is everything, everywhere, all at once faith, foolishness, friendship drama, exams, bad decisions, good laughs, and lessons I didn’t know I was signing up for. It’s loud, it’s real, it’s vulnerable, and it’s me trying to make sense of a week that made absolutely no sense.

  32. 41

    Exams, Emotions & Embarrassments

This week’s episode is a wild mix from the chaos of exams to roommates serving bedwetting confessions and painful blood draws, nothing was off-limits. But beyond the laughs, I get real about the pressure to always be happy for others when you’re still battling your own struggles. Sometimes, the truest love is giving yourself time to heal before celebrating someone else’s win. Plus, I share the sweetest moment of support from a friend’s mom that carried me through this hectic exam week.

  33. 40

    Chaos Carried Me Here

Exam week came with everything, disappointment, frustration, weird surprises, and tiny lessons tucked into chaos. From tanker men delays to raw Indomie revelations, from lazy lecturers to tough exam questions, I’m holding onto one truth, this degree won’t see the end of me.

  34. 39

    The Betrayal Blueprint

This week, I bring you a story that blurs the line between genuine friendship and parasitism. Glory and Favor’s bond looked like sisterhood from the outside, but behind the laughter and shared meals was manipulation, betrayal, and a shocking twist that still raises the question: when does a friend stop being a friend?

  35. 38

    The Rollercoaster Episode

This week takes us through it all the exhausting chase for validation, the harsh reminder of how fragile life really is, and the joy tucked into small wins that prove the littlest acts still hold the most weight.

  36. 37

    Beliefs that keep me going…II

In Part Two, I’m revisiting the little notions and quiet beliefs that shape how I move through life. They’re not always right, and sometimes they don’t even hold up under scrutiny but they still keep me going. They soften me when the world feels hard and maybe that’s their true purpose. This episode dives into what it really means to lean on ideas that aren’t perfect but still keep us alive, hopeful, and connected.

  37. 36

    Beliefs That Keep Me Going

These notions aren’t always right, but they keep me going. And maybe falling for them isn’t the worst thing in the world because even if they’re not always true, they keep me soft, they keep me human and maybe that’s the whole point

  38. 35

    Open doors, closed minds…II

Taking a deeper dive into the conversation around rape culture and victim blaming, a harmful tradition that has persisted for far too long. We explore how exercising free will as a woman is often unfairly twisted into justification for terrible actions, equally wrong as the original offense. My guest is back again, and it’s a battle of perspectives, two standpoints come head-to-head, giving us insight into different points of view.

  39. 34

    Open doors, closed minds.

Hostel access is easy to control. What’s harder? Changing the mindset that sees women as responsible for their own assault. This episode takes you from a decades old university rule, straight into the heart of rape culture and why victim blaming is the most dangerous tradition of all.

  40. 33

    Shift happens….

Change isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s quiet.Sometimes it’s just you, watching something different, outgrowing certain things, and maybe ends in you questioning yourself. This episode is about that awkward, blurry place where you don’t recognize yourself, but not in a bad way. You’re just changing, softly and truthfully.

  41. 32

The Accountability Contract? Is It Ever Fair.

This one might sting a little. Not because it’s mean but because it’s true. From forgiving boys who broke your heart to blocking girls who hurt your ego, the standards are different… and we all know it.Let’s talk about why, and how we start unlearning.

  42. 31

Home Was Never Quiet, But It Was Mine

In this final chapter of my sibling series, I’m tying a bow on the noise, the madness, the secrets we swore we’d never tell, and the beautiful mess that built me. This isn’t just a story about growing up, it’s a soft, messy love letter to the chaos that shaped my heart. If your childhood was loud, a little unhinged, occasionally unfair, but still rooted in real love then this one’s for you.

  43. 30

The Beautiful Chaos That Raised Me

Childhood was loud. And not just volume, loud with energy, love, chaos, and the kind of memories you can’t recreate. In this second episode, I take you into the heart of growing up with siblings. From the silly games to the legendary fights, and all the moments that shaped us, this one’s a walk down a very noisy memory lane.

  44. 29

    Unchosen, Unmatched, Unbreakable

Some bonds aren’t chosen, they just are. This episode dives into my not-so-perfect but absolutely irreplaceable journey with my siblings. The lessons, the laughs, the long fights and the love that outlives it all.

  45. 28

    The Mask You Call Confidence

That confidence you’re selling? Is it really yours or just another version of what you think people want to see? This episode is for the girlies (and guys) performing soft life while fighting for survival behind the scenes. I’m asking the questions nobody wants to hear, What if your whole personality is just a performance?

  46. 27

    Everything, Everywhere All At Once

This episode is a soft meltdown with a side of humor. I’m letting off steam raw, honest, and slightly chaotic.I’m stressed. Exams confused me. People are stressing me.And I just needed to talk it out before I self-combust. No script. Just what’s on my mind. So if you’re also holding in 72 things and need to hear someone else spiral first this one’s for you.

  47. 26

Who Are You Trying to Be?

School is starting to feel like a costume party and everybody’s performing wealth. But beneath all the fake accents, designer bags, and overcompensation, I want to know, who are you really trying to be? Why are we trying to be that person? And who taught you that your real self wasn’t enough?

  48. 25

    You Wouldn’t Know By Looking

You’d look at me and think, “She’s good.”But that’s the thing about insecurity it doesn’t always show. In this episode, I talk about the invisible battles: the doubt, the comparison, the thoughts that come up when nobody’s watching. Physical insecurities. Academic pressure. Emotional burnout. You wouldn’t know by looking. But maybe after this episode, you’ll understand what hiding it really looks like.

  49. 24

The system betrayed us, but we won’t betray ourselves

The world told survivors to stay quiet. This episode does the opposite. With every word, it holds your hand and says, you’re not alone. From betrayal by the system to the struggle of daily healing, this is an intimate, honest talk with those who’ve endured too much and are still here. This is where pain meets power.

  50. 23

The System Didn’t Break, It Was Built This Way

This episode is heavy but necessary. It sheds light on the cases that slipped through the cracks, the rapists who were never held accountable, and the survivors left to heal without help. We’re not just telling stories—we’re demanding better. Because justice shouldn’t be a privilege. It should be a promise.
