A Child Is Born
“A Child Is Born” by A.L.I.A.S.: An Inspirational Tale of Hope, Hustle & Transformation “A Child Is Born,” one of the standout tracks on On Top of the World: Chapter 2 – The Takeover, is more than a song—it’s a message, a mission, and a modern-day parable for the youth navigating the harsh realities of the inner city. A.L.I.A.S., known for weaving powerful lyricism with cinematic storytelling, delivers a deeply inspirational narrative that speaks directly to kids growing up in the hood, urging them to see beyond their surroundings and recognize the greatness within. This track blends East Coast lyricism with golden-era sensibilities, echoing foundational messages from classics like “The Message,” yet transforming them into something fresh, uplifting, and uniquely A.L.I.A.S. The repeating hook—“A child is born with no state of mind, blind to the ways of mankind…”—is delivered over vinyl scratches and break-beat energy, instantly setting the tone for a journey that’s both nostalgic and forward-looking. A Concept Rooted in Reality & Redemption The concept of “A Child Is Born” draws from A.L.I.A.S.’ own experiences growing up in the South Bronx, where every day was a crossroads between potential and peril. Rather than glorifying the struggle, he uses this track to highlight the choices that lead to transformation. It’s a message to the young kid on the block staring at broken streetlights, to the teenager dodging trouble on the way to school, to the dreamer who feels boxed in by their environment. A.L.I.A.S. intentionally crafts the verses with vivid imagery, high-level rhyme patterns, and philosophical undertones. He paints scenes of early hardship but balances them with encouragement, wisdom, and moments of introspection. The song becomes a lyrical blueprint—a survival guide disguised as poetry. Who the Song Is For This track is a dedication to: Young people in underserved communities who feel the odds stacked against them. Parents, mentors, and educators working tirelessly to guide kids toward brighter futures. Anyone who’s ever felt unseen or underestimated, yet still believes in their own potential. “A Child Is Born” reminds listeners that struggle does not define destiny. It’s for every kid who has ever been told they won’t make it—and for the adults who once were those kids, now striving to break generational cycles. The Making of the Song A.L.I.A.S. approached this song with the mindset of an author, a philosopher, and a street poet all at once. The break-beat foundation gives the track a gritty, old-school hip-hop texture, while layered vinyl scratches add depth and nostalgia. The verses were built to feel like chapters—each one revealing a different stage of growing up in a world that tests you early. The creative process involved tapping into memories, reflecting on life lessons, and channeling the voices of OGs, teachers, family members, and even the neighborhood itself. Every bar carries intention. Every rhyme is designed to lift, challenge, and empower. Why “A Child Is Born” Matters In a world where many youth feel invisible, this song stands as a reminder: Greatness doesn’t depend on where you start—only on how you rise. Welcome
“Welcome” by A.L.I.A.S.: A Guided Tour Through the Heart of the Hood “Welcome,” one of the standout tracks from On Top of the World: Chapter 2 – The Takeover, is A.L.I.A.S. at his cinematic best. This song transforms gritty street realities into an immersive, thought-provoking guided tour—part social commentary, part storytelling, and fully rooted in the artist’s signature lyrical craftsmanship. Inspired by the classic “tour bus through celebrity homes” concept, “Welcome” flips the script and brings listeners into the unseen corners of urban life, offering a raw yet compassionate look at the places and people mainstream society rarely understands. From its opening moments, “Welcome” sets a vivid tone. The soulful female-sung hook acts like a warm greeting at the door: “Welcome to the ghetto, I hope that you enjoy the sights…” Yet behind the harmony lies a deeper intention—to help listeners understand the plight and see the light. This dual message frames the entire song: beauty and struggle, humor and heartbreak, danger and resilience coexist on the same streets. A.L.I.A.S. plays the role of the tour guide, pointing out landmarks that don’t make travel brochures—abandoned buildings, corner hustlers, makeshift basketball courts, neighborhood legends, and daily survival rituals. The Inspiration Behind the Song “Welcome” draws heavily from A.L.I.A.S.’ own upbringing in the South Bronx, a place that shaped his worldview, his hustle, and his desire to uplift. The concept comes from noticing how people from outside the community often misunderstand or misjudge the hood. A.L.I.A.S. wanted to create a “cultural bridge”—something that would humanize the environment, honor the people who live in it, and show that even in chaos, there is warmth, humor, love, and pride. This song also pays homage to classic hip-hop traditions: using vivid imagery, gritty storytelling, and lyrical depth to spotlight marginalized voices. It channels the energy of Nas, the street observation of Kendrick Lamar, and the narrative tone of early Jay-Z, but in a style unmistakably A.L.I.A.S.—sharp, clever, and rich with internal rhymes that reward repeat listens. Who the Song Is For “Welcome” is made for anyone who has ever lived in or been shaped by inner-city life. It resonates with those who know the hood intimately and appreciate its complexities. But it’s also crafted for listeners outside the culture—those who want to understand the realities behind the headlines. The track is equally a tribute to survivors and a challenge to outsiders to see the humanity behind the struggle. Community leaders, social workers, teachers, and activists will find this song especially poignant. It gives voice to lived experiences that often go unheard. At the same time, hip-hop fans who crave storytelling with substance will feel right at home. The Making of “Welcome” The production blends atmospheric textures with a steady urban rhythm, creating a backdrop that feels like riding through city streets at twilight. The drums hit with weight, the bassline moves with intention, and subtle melodic layers give the track its emotional pull. The female hook was crafted to serve as an anthem—soft, soulful, and haunting, echoing like a memory. A.L.I.A.S. structured the verses like chapters of a street novel. Each section reveals a new scene, a new character, a new truth. He intentionally designed the track to progress like an actual tour, with every stop offering another piece of the puzzle. Final Thoughts “Welcome” is more than music—it’s a journey. It’s a bridge between worlds, an invitation to look deeper, and a tribute to the places that made A.L.I.A.S. who he is. This track stands as one of the album’s most powerful story-driven records and a reminder that every neighborhood has a story worth hearing. Step on the bus. Take the ride. Welcome to the ghetto.

Designed from the ground up to be a strip-club anthem, a dance-floor igniter, and a money-machine starter, this track is pure kinetic energy bottled into music form. From the first beat to the final bar, “Bounce Baby” is built to make bodies move and the vibe shoot through the roof. The Concept: Pure, Unapologetic Fun At its core, “Bounce Baby” is all about celebration, sensuality, and the electric connection between performer and audience. Unlike some of the deeper, more introspective cuts on the album, this one leans entirely into the fun, flirty, high-tempo side of A.L.I.A.S.’s creative personality. The song is driven by 808-heavy drums, hypnotic melodies, and a hook so addictively simple that it embeds itself in your mind on the first listen. A.L.I.A.S. crafted this track as an intentional curveball—a moment in the album where listeners can let go, turn up, and lose themselves in the rhythm. It’s playful, bold, and designed to dominate everything from nightlife playlists to viral dance videos. The Inspiration: Where Street Energy Meets Nightclub Heat “Bounce Baby” was created with dance culture in mind, pulling inspiration from the raw charisma of classic strip-club hits, the bounce-driven energy of Southern 808 music, and the catchy lyrical swagger that defines A.L.I.A.S.’s style. The goal was simple: Create something that feels instantly infectious. Something that feels alive. A.L.I.A.S. approached the record with the mindset of a performer—but also with the eyes of a spectator, imagining the lights, the crowd, the stage, and the dancers who would turn this track into a full sensory experience. It’s a song built for movement, for rhythm, for spectacle. Every sound, every cadence, every bounce of the bass was crafted to make listeners feel like they’re right in the middle of the party. Who It’s For: The Dancers, the Hustlers, and the Turn-Up Crew “Bounce Baby” is dedicated to the people who bring the nightlife to life: Dancers who turn a stage into an art form Club-goers who chase the pulse of the night DJs who need a record guaranteed to heat up the floor Hustlers & heavy hitters who appreciate a track that doesn’t let up Fitness and dance instructors looking for a track that makes a routine pop If your world includes rhythm, motion, sweat, swagger, or shine… “Bounce Baby” was made for you. The Making of the Track: High Tempo, High Stakes The creative process behind “Bounce Baby” was intentionally stripped down yet electrifying. A.L.I.A.S. kept the hook minimalistic on purpose—because the simplest lines often become the biggest crowd chants. The verses, however, still carry his trademark lyrical sharpness, balancing the fun with the finesse fans expect. The production leans heavily into 808s, snappy percussion, and rhythmic patterns inspired by both modern club music and early-2000s strip-club bangers. The result is a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh—timeless energy with a 2025 attitude. Final Word “Bounce Baby” isn’t just a song—it’s a moment. It’s the pulse that lifts a room, the soundtrack for the after-hours hustle, and one more reason why The Takeover cements A.L.I.A.S. as a versatile artist who can tap into any vibe and make it his own. Turn it up. Let it hit. And just bounce, baby.

“Shots Fired!” by A.L.I.A.S. — The Adrenaline-Charged Anthem Built for the Bold “Shots Fired!” from On Top of the World: Chapter 2 – The Takeover is pure kinetic energy—an explosive street anthem crafted to shake the room, ignite the crowd, and remind the world that A.L.I.A.S. doesn’t just enter the arena… he kicks the doors off the hinges. This track is raw, urgent, and razor-sharp, designed to hit listeners with that unmistakable mix of lyricism, intensity, and commanding presence that defines the A.L.I.A.S. movement. Where some records whisper, this one booms. The Concept: High Stakes, High Energy, High Skill At its core, “Shots Fired!” is a musical ambush—an adrenaline-pumping soundtrack that channels the gritty urgency of high-pressure moments. A.L.I.A.S. pulls from the classic energy of M.O.P., Biggie, J. Cole, and Nas, blending the raw power of street anthems with his signature clean-but-still-cutthroat lyricism. This is a track for people who’ve ever had to fight for their space, battle doubt, or silence opposition with excellence instead of excuses. The message is simple: When pressure tests you… answer back louder. “Shots Fired!” represents that exact moment when the world calls your name with conflict, challenge, or chaos— and you step forward unfazed, ready, and lyrical. The Inspiration: Competition, Courage, and Commanding Respect A.L.I.A.S. built this track around the idea of seizing the moment before it seizes you. The inspiration comes from the competitive spirit of hip-hop—those lyrical battlegrounds where only the sharpest survive. It’s also fueled by personal experience: the resilience of coming from the South Bronx, the confidence forged by struggle, and the discipline built from constant reinvention. There’s a strong cinematic feel throughout—fast pacing, sudden shifts, and a sense of running into the fire rather than away from it. This is A.L.I.A.S. stepping fully into his persona: strategic, calculated, charismatic, and unafraid. The beat sets the scene; the bars build the story. Who It’s For: Hustlers, Fighters, and Anyone Facing Opposition “Shots Fired!” is tailor-made for: People who love high-energy, hype music Streetwear culture and gym warriors needing a go-hard anthem Anyone grinding through adversity Fans of lyrical heavyweight bars with a cinematic edge Listeners who want clean but gritty music that still hits like a freight train It’s also perfect for pre-game locker rooms, boxing gyms, workout playlists, club energy sets, and high-octane car rides. If you need something to push you, fuel you, or remind you who you are, this track does the job. The Making of the Track: Precision Meets Power Creating “Shots Fired!” meant constructing a beat and cadence that felt like an adrenaline spike. Heavy drums, driving bass, and a rhythm that forces movement set the foundation. From there, A.L.I.A.S. layered his deliberate internal rhymes, clever punchlines, coded metaphors, and fast-paced delivery inspired by the urgency of street survival. The verses were written to mirror the tension of a confrontation—tight, aggressive, and rhythmic—while the hook was made to be instantly memorable, the kind of chant that sticks after the first listen. Every bar had to land. Every line had to matter. Final Word: This Is the Sound of Power “Shots Fired!” isn’t just a song—it’s a declaration that A.L.I.A.S. is here, focused, and fully in his element. It’s a record that demands attention, commands respect, and delivers the exact kind of high-voltage energy fans crave. Add it to your playlist, turn it up loud, and feel the impact. This is the takeover.

You Doin' Too Much
“You Doin’ Too Much” by A.L.I.A.S.: A Lyrical Reality Check Wrapped in East Coast Swagger “You Doin’ Too Much,” featured on A.L.I.A.S.’s highly anticipated album On Top of the World: Chapter 2 – The Takeover, is a clever, witty, and razor-sharp anthem that calls out the chaos, noise, and unnecessary antics people bring into everyday life. Built on the signature East Coast lyricism A.L.I.A.S. is known for, the song blends humor, cultural commentary, and street consciousness into a track that’s as entertaining as it is relatable. At its core, “You Doin’ Too Much” is a musical mirror—one that reflects the extra, dramatic, over-the-top behavior people often display when trying too hard to impress. A.L.I.A.S. flips the concept with charisma, delivering punchlines and double-entendres that make listeners laugh, nod their heads, and reconsider the energy they welcome into their own lives. Inspired by real-life experiences, everyday encounters, and the fast-paced culture of doing-the-most, the track serves as both a warning and a celebration of staying grounded in a world that’s constantly trying to pull you off balance. A Song Inspired by Real Life and Real People The idea behind “You Doin’ Too Much” came from a combination of street observation and personal growth. As someone who has evolved from the struggles of the South Bronx to the entrepreneurial grind of modern life, A.L.I.A.S. has seen every version of “extra”—from flashy pretenders to loud talkers with no follow-through. Instead of addressing it with bitterness, he turns it into entertainment. This song was inspired by those moments where you watch someone exaggerate their lifestyle, overreact to simple situations, or try way too hard for attention. A.L.I.A.S. captures these moments with funny, hyper-detailed storytelling and clever rhyme schemes, delivering each verse with the confident cadence of an artist who’s seen enough to know better. Who the Song Is For “You Doin’ Too Much” is for anyone who’s dealt with fake energy, unnecessary drama, or people who always take things a step too far. It resonates with: Hustlers who stay in their lane Professionals tired of workplace theatrics People who value peace over chaos Anyone who knows a friend—or enemy—who always exaggerates Fans of witty, high-level lyricism with internal rhyme schemes Whether you’re bumping it in your car, adding it to your gym playlist, or sending it as a subtle message to someone who needs to chill, the track delivers the perfect mix of humor and truth. Inside the Making of the Track A.L.I.A.S. approached the writing with precision, leaning into his signature storytelling while keeping the beat energetic and infectious. Inspired by the rhythmic cleverness of artists like Wale, J. Cole, and early Kanye, the flow is tight and filled with rapid-fire bars that reward listeners who catch the hidden layers. The production carries a bounce that feels both modern and nostalgic, blending 90 BPM hip-hop percussion with crisp melodies and subtle harmonic textures. Every verse was crafted to elevate the narrative—telling stories of hustling, ambition, and old-school wisdom while poking fun at the characters who are “doin’ too much.” Why This Song Will Stick With Listeners “You Doin’ Too Much” is memorable because it’s undeniably real. It gives listeners a theme song for those moments when someone’s energy is off, exaggerated, or flat-out performative. It’s catchy, clever, and grounded in the authentic personality of A.L.I.A.S.—a storyteller who can turn everyday experiences into something cinematic. Whether you love it for the punchlines, the wordplay, or the vibe, the track stands as one more reason why On Top of the World: Chapter 2 – The Takeover is shaping up to be one of A.L.I.A.S.’s most dynamic projects to date.

Tell a Friend
“Tell a Friend” by A.L.I.A.S.: A Cinematic Street Return Told Through Grit, Growth & Legacy “Tell a Friend” on On Top of the World: Chapter 2 – The Takeover is A.L.I.A.S. stepping back into the arena with the presence of a mythic figure returning to reclaim the throne. This track blends cinematic street storytelling with the razor-sharp lyricism A.L.I.A.S. is known for, delivering a tale that feels equal parts classic New York grit and psychological thriller. It’s a story of a king who vanished long enough for rivals to think the crown was unguarded—only to discover he was sharpening his mind and strengthening his network in the shadows. The Concept: A King Returns to His Corners At its core, “Tell a Friend” is about legacy, reputation, and the reality that true power never dissolves—it only goes silent. Inspired by characters like Marlo Stanfield from The Wire and the energy of early-2000s street storytelling, the song captures the tension of A.L.I.A.S. walking back into a world that once feared him, only to find a new generation occupying what he built. But rather than fold into the background or be satisfied with a political, polished life, he comes back to show them—you can’t replace the original blueprint. The concept blends the hunger of the hustler’s rise with the wisdom of a man who has lived through wars, wins, losses, and reinvention. It’s a declaration that even when you disappear, your legend continues to echo. The Inspiration: Pressure, Power & the Streets That Raised Him “Tell a Friend” pulls heavily from real-life themes A.L.I.A.S. has navigated: Disappearing from the spotlight to rebuild. Watching an industry evolve while sharpening new skills. Understanding that power isn’t loud—it's consistent. It’s the anthem of anyone who has stepped away—whether by choice, by force, or by circumstance—and returned with more clarity, more control, and more purpose. A.L.I.A.S.’s Bronx roots sit front-and-center here, weaving together old-school authenticity with evolved maturity. The song also reflects the emotional tension of being counted out, overlooked, or underestimated—only to reappear with a force that shakes the landscape. Who It’s For: The Silent Grinders, Old Souls & Comeback Kings “Tell a Friend” resonates with: Hustlers who went quiet to level up. Leaders who refuse to surrender their legacy. Anyone who came back stronger after being doubted. People who love cinematic, story-driven hip-hop. If you ever walked into a room where people thought they knew your story—but you were already writing a new chapter—this track is for you. It's motivation wrapped in street poetry, designed to remind listeners that your silence isn’t weakness… it’s strategy. The Making of the Track: Cinematic Energy Meets East Coast Precision Recording “Tell a Friend” was all about capturing atmosphere—the eerie calm before a storm. A.L.I.A.S. built the track with layered vocal tones to create a feeling of surveillance, tension, and presence. The beat leans on gritty drums, suspenseful strings, and low rumbling bass to mimic the moment a king steps back onto familiar pavement. Every bar is crafted with precision, weaving double meanings, coded metaphors, and narrative detail. It’s lyrical storytelling delivered with the poise of someone who has survived the fire and learned to control the flames. Final Word: Spread the Word—The King Is Back “Tell a Friend” is not just a song. It’s a message, a warning, and a reintroduction. A.L.I.A.S. returns to the world not as who he was, but as who he has become—stronger, sharper, and more in command than ever. Tell a friend… the takeover has officially begun.

The song channels the iconic energy of rolling twenty cars deep through the city, knowing every eye is watching and every lane belongs to you. “We Got This” is confidence amplified. It’s strategy in motion. It’s swagger multiplied by unity. Inspired by Crew Loyalty & the Power of a Solid Foundation The inspiration behind the song comes from that unmistakable feeling when everyone around you is aligned. When your circle is strong enough to weather storms, push through setbacks, and celebrate victories like family. A.L.I.A.S. drew from the loyalty codes of Southern street culture and the dynasty mindset of groups like BMF—where vision, ambition, and team synergy created an aura of invincibility. Musically, the track borrows the relentless momentum of Kanye West & Jay-Z’s “Ni**as in Paris,” matching its pulse with trap-ready drums and a bounce that can light up nightclubs, block parties, and arenas alike. Every bar was written to reinforce the mood: squad up, stand tall, move smart, and dominate together. For Crews, Hustlers, Winners & Every Team That Moves Like a Family “We Got This” is the soundtrack for every circle that plans, hustles, and rises together. It captures that rare feeling of knowing you’re surrounded by riders, visionaries, and people who genuinely have your back. Inside the Making of the Track The song was built on a foundation of heavy 808s, trap drum patterns, and a hypnotic synth pulse that keeps the energy consistent from start to finish. A.L.I.A.S. intentionally kept the hook simple, punchy, and repeatable—something that hits like a chant when a group says it together. The verses blend clever wordplay, strategic bravado, and cinematic crew imagery. Every line reinforces the atmosphere of being untouchable when the team moves as one. This is the type of track designed to shake trunks, ignite crowds, and remind listeners that unity is a superpower. A.L.I.A.S. Delivers a Celebration of Strength in Numbers “We Got This” isn’t just a song—it’s a declaration. It’s a southern trap salute to legacy, loyalty, and the unstoppable force of a well-built team. Turn it up. Feel the bass. Call your crew. Because when the squad is solid… yeah—you really got this.

Five Kings (McKinley's)
Five Kings (McKinley’s) by A.L.I.A.S.: A Legendary Cipher Reborn for a New Era “Five Kings (McKinley’s)” from On Top of the World: Chapter 2 – The Takeover is a lyrical time capsule brought back to life—an ode to the golden era of hip-hop ciphers, corner-store camaraderie, and the unbreakable brotherhood that forms when iron sharpens iron. A.L.I.A.S. doesn’t just drop a song here; he resurrects a moment in time, the kind of memory that shapes an artist forever. The Concept: A Cipher Among Kings At its core, Five Kings (McKinley’s) is a lyrical remembrance of one epic day outside McKinley’s deli—five young emcees spitting bars, cracking jokes, pushing each other creatively, and unknowingly laying the foundation for future greatness. This track captures that raw synergy. No beats. No studios. No agendas. Just raw talent, adolescent ambition, and the belief that greatness is possible with the right crew by your side. A.L.I.A.S. paints each detail with precision: the cracked sidewalk, the deli awning buzzing with street energy, the cypher intensity as each rapper tried to “one-up” the last. It was the ultimate proving ground—and this record immortalizes it. The Inspiration: A Returning to Royal Roots The song is inspired by A.L.I.A.S.’s real-life journey—his early days sharpening his pen game with the local gods of lyricism in the South Bronx. These weren’t just friends; they were the original “Five Kings.” Each one brought a unique style, point of view, and hunger. This track honors those kings: The punchline machine The flow innovator The conscious poet The street prophet And A.L.I.A.S., the shape-shifting storyteller who would become all of them at once It’s a sentimental tribute wrapped in lyrical bravado—respect for the past mixed with the confidence of the man he eventually became. Who It’s For: Dreamers, Day-Ones, and Hip-Hop Purists Five Kings (McKinley’s) is made for anyone who remembers what it felt like to discover their talent in front of their peers. It’s for: Hip-hop heads who love bars, storytelling, and classic cipher energy Day-one friends who were there before the glow-up Dreamers who remember their “first stage,” no matter how small Loyal crews who understand that sometimes your circle is your kingdom Whether you grew up freestyling on the corner, singing in the church choir, hooping on the blacktop, or sketching in the back of class, this record taps that feeling: the moment you first knew you had “it.” The Making of the Track: Raw Storytelling Elevated The vibe of this track is cinematic yet grounded. A.L.I.A.S. crafted it with a nostalgic boom-bap backbone, layered with soulful undertones that echo memory and legacy. Each verse is written like a chapter, like we’re flipping through an old photo album where every snapshot is alive. A.L.I.A.S. retells the cipher with a mature voice—wiser, seasoned, but still connected to the spark of the kid who stood on McKinley’s corner, determined to prove something. He doesn’t just rap about the moment—he relives it. Why It Matters: Legacy Lives in the Moments We Never Forget Five Kings (McKinley’s) isn’t just a song; it’s a reminder that greatness often begins in the smallest spaces. A deli corner. Five friends. A dream that wouldn’t die. This is A.L.I.A.S. paying homage to where his fire was born—and inviting listeners to reconnect with their own origin stories. Hit play, close your eyes, and step back to that corner where five kings sharpened their crowns long before the world ever knew their names.

Chapters
“Chapters” by A.L.I.A.S.: A Heartfelt Tribute to Loss, Love & the Stories That Shape Us “Chapters” from On Top of the World: Chapter 2 – The Takeover is one of the most emotional pieces in the A.L.I.A.S. catalog—an intimate, soul-deep song born from real grief, real love, and real-life heartbreak. This isn’t just a track; it’s a memorial in melody, a quiet moment carved out of an otherwise high-energy album to honor the people we’ve loved and lost. While many songs focus on triumph and self-empowerment, “Chapters” stands in the delicate space between sorrow and gratitude. It acknowledges the heavy truth: life changes without our permission. People we love leave this world, and we’re left to carry their story along with our own. This song is A.L.I.A.S.’s way of turning that pain into something beautiful. A Song Written Through Tears: The Concept Behind “Chapters” “Chapters” was born out of unimaginable personal loss. A.L.I.A.S. wrote this song in the wake of losing both his mother and grandmother, pillars of wisdom and strength who shaped his entire worldview. But the grief didn’t stop there—his wife also suffered the loss of both her parents within seven months of each other in the very same year. Four souls. Four goodbyes. Four chapters closed long before anyone was ready. The song captures the ache of those moments, the silence after the phone call, the weight of memories that suddenly mean more than ever. Yet it balances that heaviness with warmth—each verse gently reminding us that love doesn’t end just because a life does. “Chapters” is meant to sound like flipping through the pages of a life once lived: laughter, lessons, birthdays, inside jokes, arguments, holidays, hugs… and the snapshots we replay long after they’re gone. Who “Chapters” Is For This song is for anyone who knows the sting of losing someone they can never replace. It’s for: Sons and daughters mourning a parent People who’ve lost grandparents, mentors, and anchors Spouses grieving together, trying to stay strong for one another Friends carrying memories of those who never made it to the next chapter Anyone grieving the loss of who they once were The beauty of “Chapters” is that it makes room for both pain and peace. It gives listeners permission to cry and permission to smile at the same time. It reminds us that grief is not weakness—it’s leftover love with nowhere to go. The Making of “Chapters”: Raw Emotion in Every Line The recording session for “Chapters” was unlike any other moment in the making of the album. A.L.I.A.S. stepped into the booth carrying more than lyrics—he carried memories. He carried family. He carried the weight of every conversation he wished he could have one more time. The production intentionally leans into a somber but comforting ambiance. Soft chords, spacious drums, and warm melodic layers create a reflective mood—like the quiet moment after a funeral when everyone has finally gone home and you sit alone with your thoughts. The vocal delivery is honest and unshielded. You can hear the hurt, but you can also hear the hope. A.L.I.A.S. wanted the song to feel like a healing embrace, not a goodbye. That’s why the hook carries a gentle uplift—a reminder that even though a chapter may close, the story continues through us. A Song That Helps You Remember While Learning to Let Go “Chapters” is emotional. It’s heavy. It’s real. But it’s also a celebration—a tribute to the lives that shaped us, guided us, challenged us, and loved us. In listening, you don’t just hear A.L.I.A.S.’s story… you hear your own. If you’re grieving, healing, or remembering someone today, “Chapters” offers a safe place to feel it all. It’s a song that hurts—and somehow helps at the same time.

Ghetto Royalty
“Ghetto Royalty” by A.L.I.A.S. — An Anthem for the Streets, the Struggle, and the Crown Within “Ghetto Royalty,” one of the standout tracks on A.L.I.A.S.’s album On Top of the World: Chapter 2 – The Takeover, is more than a song—it’s a declaration. Blending hard-hitting hip-hop with heavy reggae influence reminiscent of Damian Marley’s Welcome to Jamrock and Jay-Z’s Bam, the song delivers an electrifying fusion of grit, pride, and empowerment. This is A.L.I.A.S. in full form, speaking directly to the heart of the hood while elevating its people to their rightful thrones. A Song Rooted in Legacy and Lived Experience At its core, “Ghetto Royalty” is a tribute—to the blocks that raised us, the stories that shaped us, and the bloodlines that refused to break. A.L.I.A.S., born in the South Bronx and sharpened by the streets, pulls from both personal history and cultural lineage to craft a record that honors the beauty, resilience, and unbreakable spirit found in even the hardest environments. The inspiration traces back to neighborhood kings and queens—the unsung leaders, single mothers, OG mentors, corner philosophers, and everyday survivors whose strength is rarely celebrated. This track crowns them all. It’s an anthem for anyone who grew up with limited resources but unlimited hustle, for those who made a way where there was no way, and for every listener who has ever felt overlooked, underestimated, or counted out. Who “Ghetto Royalty” Is For This song is for the people. Period. It’s for the kid on the stoop dreaming of better days. For the young hustler figuring life out one move at a time. For the neighborhood that shaped you even when it hurt you. For the generations who carried pain but still passed down pride. For every listener who understands that “royalty” isn’t about bloodlines—it’s about battle scars, triumphs, loyalty, and inner worth. Fans of conscious street music, reggae-infused hip-hop, and powerful lyrical storytelling will gravitate to this track instantly. But even more, anyone who has ever fought for their place in the world will feel this record in their bones. The Making of “Ghetto Royalty” In the studio, this track came alive with a raw edge. Heavy bass lines, militant drums, and patois-flavored ad-libs set the tone early. A.L.I.A.S. wrote the verses with cinematic precision—painting scenes of block life, community connection, and generational pride. The cadence is authoritative yet soulful, carrying the weight of someone who has seen both sides of the struggle and refuses to let his people be defined by the worst of their circumstances. The hook, infused with reggae swagger, is intentionally bold and memorable—crafted to echo through block parties, car speakers, and late-night rides. Every sound choice—from the horns to the gritty percussion—was selected to create a global street anthem with universal heart. Why “Ghetto Royalty” Matters Because the streets don’t just produce hardship—they produce royalty. This song reminds listeners that greatness can rise from anywhere. It celebrates identity, heritage, and the crown each person carries whether they realize it or not. “Ghetto Royalty” is more than music—it’s a movement, a mindset, and a moment of empowerment wrapped inside rhythm and rhyme. If you’ve ever come from the bottom but believed you belonged at the top, this one’s for you. Put it on repeat, feel the pulse of the people, and wear your crown proudly.

The Journey Begins (outro)
The is the Outro 'The Journey Begins" the 18th (last) track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. A.L.I.A.S. seeks to begin his spiritual journey but simply recognizing the path to Self-Realization is very different from walking the path. As soon as the ego recognizes that the soul seeks to gain its rightful place, maya rallies the forces of ignorance to dissuade the aspirant. Samskaras, bad habits and material desires won't give up that easily. This is the celestial "Song of the Spirit;" the inner battle each individual must fight to overcome worldliness to gain the freedom of the soul and total liberation...

God Bless
"God Bless!" is the 17th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. and is dedicated in particular to Thaddeus, Frances, Roland & Alice Pyfrom, Terrance Vanterpool and everyone who has lost family and loves ones! This is the last song of the album (not counting outro) and captures the essence of this journey. A.L.I.A.S. has started from humble beginnings, seeks all the pleasures the world has to offer, become corrupted with money, power & women and comes to realize that it is all short-lived... A.L.I.A.S. will still have to deal with the karma of his past actions (next series of albums) but for the moment has an epiphany and begins to appreciate the small moments and times shared with family and friends. Sometimes the "hood" can be the most beautiful place in the world when there is LOVE present. While the dreams of "being on top" can prove to be a lonely world full of anxiety, fear, paranoia and competition. A.L.I.A.S. seeks to close this chapter of his past and turn over a new leaf but simply recognizing the path towards greater understanding doesn't mean the journey will suddenly be easy! It is said for the individual that struggles for Self-Realization, God's grace will eventually come but for those that don't... He remains silent. Time will tell...

Me, That's Who!
"Me, That's Who!" is the 16th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. Who better epitomizes the "rags to riches" story better than Tony Montana aka Scarface! This gritty refugee in the early 80's rises from the grimy streets of Miami to become the drug lord kingpin. This movie, unfortunately, has influenced probably more "wanna be" drug dealers than any other pop culture phenomenon. Sadly, most of these inspired dealers fail to remember the end of the story that Scarface loses his best friend, wife, sister and ends up dead! The analogy likewise for A.L.I.A.S. is that the top is very lonely. When you've made your living via shady means it is a matter of time before fate comes knocking at your door. They say absolute power corrupts absolutely! What good is power and riches if it is short-lived and you have no one to share it with?! Stay focused on the things that matter most in life - family, friends, health and love! The richest man is the one who is missed the most when he leaves this earth...

Rated X
"Rated X" is the 15th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. Unlike what the name suggests, this video or lyrics are actually NOT quite that X Rated... (Did you really think we were promoting porn here?) The video doesn't show any exposed private parts or actual sex. It is, however, intended to suggest the deepening life of worldly engrossment when there seems to be no point of return. As many realize when they've made it to the "top" that life seems to only offer the same temptations night after night - "sex, drugs & rock n roll" as they say! We as souls even with fulfillment of material desires still feel a sense of longing that something is missing and we feel incomplete. That "completeness" we yearn can only be found in the Spirit...

Watch Me Now
"Watch Me Now" is the 14th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. At this stage of the "story" A.L.I.A.S. continues to go deeper into the maze of power. Here he seeks to expand his reach by heading westward via his island connects with Jamaican rudeboys! The empire is expanding and the money is coming in faster than can be counted. There is no regard for the people that are hurt or the lives ruined. We often see the glorious side of drug trafficking and praise the so-called "hustlers" and yet ignore the prisons full of sellers and users who will rarely be able to recapture a sensible life not consumed in violence...

Mesmerized
"Mesmerized" is the 13th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. As stated earlier this is only part of a story in this 18 track album. A.L.I.A.S. represents the spiritual struggle to survive in a difficult world of choosing right & wrong. At this particular juncture A.L.I.A.S. is going deeper into the "darkness" of money, drugs, the fast life, partying, drinking, women and sex. The video was shot with a gold tint to represent how in the eyes of the deluded the world appears "golden" but as they say all that glitters isn't true gold. A.L.I.A.S. will go much deeper into despair on the remainder of the album before something triggers him to have a "conscious" moment of reflection that begins to awaken him from the deepening hole lust for power & money.

Cry Of The Streets
"Cry of the Streets" is the 12th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. This is the story of hip-hop music in its pure and uncorrupted original essence. This music was born as part of the culture of inner city youth beginning in the South Bronx and expanding outwards to the rest of New York City, the nation and abroad. Of course once the corporations recognized it as a money machine, they seized control of it by soliciting artists and finding new avenues to commercialize it for "mass appeal" thus perverting her truth. In this song we're merely presenting the story of hip-hop as a girl that's been kidnapped by the industry and like good soldiers, we must go to war to get her back and bring her back to her mother - the Streets!

A Player's Love Song
"A Player's Love Song" is the 11th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. This is the story of the man who cannot appreciate the good woman he already has. Under the false bravado of being a "player" he gets greedy and engages in an affair with another women. Worse than just having an affair, he establishes two relationships in essence "lying to both women." As they say in time all things come to light and he's caught in his lies. The two women suspiciously invite him to a "threesome" with the promise of more to come but after giving him a taste of what he could have had he ends up without either. They set him up and leave him high & dry. I guess a bird in the hand is certainly better than two in a bush... But these are the risks in the game of the life of a single player.

American Dream
"American Dream" is the 10th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. Capitalism... Socialism... Communism... all birds of the same feather! There is no ideal economic system until people learn to put the "power of love" before the "love of power!" The American Dream is the pursuit of abundance, lavishness and materialism but is losing it's spirit. How does one find the proper balance of comfort, well-being and health? Financial meltdown, foreclosures, market collapsesand high unemployment are all part of the economic cycle. It's the ongoing battle of the "haves" versus the "have-nots."

LIFE
"LIFE" is the 9th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. The name is self-explanatory... This song examines all the horrors of the world and yet all the beautiful potential. God has given us free will to choose what we individually experience. "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he" and yet when we behave selfishly it creates an atmosphere that becomes self-destructive. We live in a world of duality, hot & cold, rich & poor, strong & weak, good & evil. The Taoists call it the yin & yang. Hindus refer to as Maya the "magical measurer." Jesus said to love another as thyself while Mohammed said to love the Creator you must love your fellow man first! Religions which were intended to connect man with Spirit instead they often become divisive. What it really balls down to is the "have and the have-nots!" The lust for power in the form of money is the true culprit which appears as political agendas, economic systems and religious dogma. This tactic works because it feeds off the fears of the masses and we justify our insanity with the defense of "survival." 1 S.O.U.L. an acronym for "One Source Of Universal Love" was created as a platform not to divide people but to bring people together under the cause of LOVE! Love for self, love for our family, love for our neighbors, love for our nations but MOST IMPORTANTLY - LOVE FOR ALL MANKIND!!

Not Tonight
"Not Tonight" is the 8th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. The life of crime may seem glamorous from the outside looking in but "success breeds envy" and can lead to paranoia and constantly looking over your back. Even those you think may truly care for you will stab you in the back. Like Biggie Smalls said "Your moms will light that ass up properly gassed up!" So in the fashion of Michael Corleone, A.L.I.A.S. goes on a killing spree for anyone he thinks may have done him wrong. This is a story of revenge, payback and "do unto others before they do unto you!" Spiritually speaking this is the thinking of most people, however, what good is money or power if there's no one to share it with? Even people who have money still long for LOVE! And while it may be true that some would rather be feared than loved, it is NOT true that fear lasts longer then love. All the great people in history who lived a life of love are still adored to this day by people who never even knew them personally but they helped to inspire generations... Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Teresa, Gandhi and in the words of Jesus "for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword" therefore we should try to "love thy neighbor as thyself!"

Heat It Up
'Heat It Up" is the 7th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. This song is essentially a party anthem intended to make you want to dance and just have fun! You can turn this up in your car and ride out... This song uses a woman as an analogy to describe the artist's "love for money!" It is also influenced by as well as a dedication to the "King of Pop" Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson's influence upon pop culture and his music is timeless. He lived his entire life for his passion of music but also became one of the most charitable and philanthropic artists to grace this planet. Although, his personal life may have been tarnished with controversy, no one can deny his artistry and giving nature. He will be sincerely missed as an icon... His leadership in the song "We are the World" displays his spiritual side and concern for the welfare of all human beings. 1 S.O.U.L. echoes this sentiment!

The A!
"The A!" is the 5th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. This song is a dedication to the City of Atlanta for all the love it showed A.L.I.A.S. on the underground scene from the Royal Peacock, Blue Flame, Gentlemen's Club, Magic City, Visions and all the local radio stations. A.L.I.A.S. is originally a New York Bronx Native but Atlanta is now his second home and place of residence and schooling. Shout outs to North Clayton High School, College Park, The AU Center and Savannah State University! This song gives props to all the Atlanta attractions that make the city unique and reason it draws new "out of towners," visitors and tourists every year. Much love to Busy Bee's, Gladys Knight Chicken & Waffles, the Hawks, Falcons, Braves, Georgia Aquarium, Six Flags, local clubs and other venues! In the Immortal words of Rakim - "It ain't where you're from... it's where you're at!"

For The Love
"For the Love" is the 6th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. This song is about finding that "something" in life that means the world to you! If money wasn't an issue, what would you like to do? Find that something that you're passionate about, consult your heart and then don't let anyone or anything stop you from achieving it. Let every challenge or hurdle become motivation to make you stronger and wiser. Once you've made up your mind then don't let anyone deter you from your goal. Don't look for recognition or the praise of others but do it to the best of your ability because it comes from your heart! You are unique and we all have certain talents in life that make us stand out! Be weird... be an oxymoron... be misunderstood but mostly be happy and content with yourself!

Callin' All Dimes
"Callin' All Dimes" is the 4th track on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" which is simply a tribute to all beautiful women. In these times, we seem to be obsessed with celebrityhood and outer beauty as obviously witnessed by eating disorders, plastic surgery and the Papparazzi, however, we should all be well reminded that true beauty comes from within! It may appear to be true that certain people may be born with "universally good looks" but none of that means much if you're an ugly person on the inside. No matter what the world may dish out to you it is never okay to let that turn you into a mean or nasty person. Even the most beautiful flower will wither in time... Likewise, outer beauty will fade with age and time and those who are loved the most in the long run will be the ones who were loving towards all and who were simply beautiful because of WHO they were!

M.A.R.I.A.
M.A.R.I.A. is the 3rd track (3 of 18) on the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power" by A.L.I.A.S. This song has many meanings... On the surface, M.A.R.I.A. is the next evolution for slang similar to Mary Jane, Brown Sugar etc all related to marijuana. M.A.R.I.A. on another level means simply the desire, lust or addiction for any substance such as women, food, drugs, clothes, jewelry, material objects, cars, houses, fame and/or power. However, on a deeper spiritual level M.A.R.I.A. is an acronym for "Mind And Reason In Action." It is symbolic of the battle between the gross worldly objects and the more subtle spirituality. An active mind driven by the senses is what keeps man bound to the material or physical plane of existence. Reason symbolic for "God's Wisdom" or "Intelligence" is what we need to nurture either through experience or more directly through meditation. We should never become slaves of our "wants" but rather discipline the body and the senses to serve the soul which is guided through intuition by connection inwardly with Wisdom...

Its ALIAS
This is the second track (1st song) to the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power." As a new artist, A.L.I.A.S. believes he must make a strong initial statement to the world that "I'm Here Now!" In other words, he is here to aggressively take what he wants by force and to mark his territory! As many of us learn in childhood, the world is based upon "might makes right" or "the strong take from the weak!" While this may sound like a reasonable conclusion for survival the truth is this approach is often short lived. We may gain satisfaction in the short term by "taking" but in the end we lose our freedom, family, friends and/or our own lives. Spiritually speaking, he who gives first is the most successful. There is a law of karma which is essentially "you reap what you sow," "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction" or "what goes around comes around." The prisons are full of minorities who may have been born with "the short end of the stick" in life but we must learn to overcome these challenges while maintaining our integrity. Those who give create not only psychological happiness for themselves but they become a conduit for greater blessings that come through them. You can't give what you don't have so by the "Law of Attraction" we become prosperous as givers! "Prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10

The Birth (intro)
This is the intro to the album "The World Ain't Ready! Chapter I: Rise to Power," the first track of 18 in total. It symbolically represents the birth of the artist that encompasses "Another Life Is Another Story." We all tend to wear many different "faces" depending upon our environment. The person we are amongst our friends is different from who we are in the presence of our parents, children, co-workers, family etc. In this story, these many "personalities" fight for control and dominance. The world we live in often makes it easy for us to choose the "least desirable" behaviors as paramount for survival but in the end spiritual wisdom must guide all of our choices in order to see "the Kingdom of God within you!"
