God gives the Sabbath to His people and uses the manna to teach them how to observe it.

God hears the grumbling of Israel and tests their faith by sending them bread from heaven

God tests His people in the wilderness and gives them His statute

Moses and Israel sing praises to Yahweh for His great deliverance and salvation

The final plague comes to pass and Israel is brought out of Egypt by the deliverance and power of God

God gives His people instructions to prepare for the coming judgment

Moses announces God's final plague before leaving the presence of Pharaoh

The plagues of locusts and darkness, and Pharaoh's attempt to compromise with God's command

The plague of flies is sent upon Egypt as God continues to make his name known among Egypt and Israel

The next two plagues are unleashed on Egypt as God shows Himself Lord over Egypt, Pharaoh, and his magicians.

God unleashes the first plague on Egypt

Moses needs to be reminded of what God has said and done

God answers Moses objections by revealing more of Himself and His purpose to deliver Israel

Moses is protected by God's hand and raised up to power in Egypt. Yet it is not from there that God will use him as the deliverer. He must be humbled and brought low in the wilderness of Midian before God will use him for God's glory.

God is fulfilling his promise to make Israel a great nation, even in the midst of oppression and affliction
