The power in writing and sharing our stories: #2 in the Back to Hope Book Series

In this episode Dr. Karen Hyden shares why writing and sharing one's story is so powerful. Through writing your story, you can organize your memories and reflect on the events to find meaning and healing. Through the expressive writing process you can see the events of your life from a Heavenly perspective, enabling you to rewrite your story with an emphasis on strength, healing, resilience and hope for future possibilities. Through the new lens of the positive aspects of your journey, the strengths in you, and the faithfulness of the Lord that have brought you this far, you can start to imagine a hopeful future where you live as your true, authentic self, the way God created you. It is through sharing our stories that we feel connected, validated, and not alone. Sharing our stories, our testimonies, is a powerful tool to point people back to hope in the Lord. Revelations 12:11 says "they have overcome/conquered/bound the enemy by the blood of Jesus and the sharing of their testimonies.
