Better Gird Up

A Jewish attorney and his Gentile colleague talk shop about life, the practice of law, and all things both kosher…and not so much. Your hosts are Miles Terry and Mark Goldfeder. One grew up in a synagogue and the other a church. One is an ordained Rabbi, the other was an Associate Youth Pastor once, but just finished his MDIV. Both of them “walked away” from the clergy professionally initially to pursue the practice of law and that shared legal profession has taken them right back to the front doors of churches and synagogues – entities they now represent. They talk about the everyday challenges their clients continually face and discuss all things Judeo- Christian-American along the way.

Better Gird Up: “Trump vs. Harvard”

In this episode of the Better Gird Up Podcast, Goldfeder and Terry dive into the growing controversy surrounding Harvard University and its failure to protect its Jewish students amidst rising antisemitism on campus. The discussion centers on how the Trump Administration is now aggressively taking action against Harvard’s leadership for what it calls a moral and legal abdication of duty – going as far as pulling all federal funding and terminating their tax-exempt status. The episode explores the legal and political dimensions of the case, including how federal civil rights laws might apply and the precedent such action could set for other universities across the nation. Listeners are left with the stark message that “everything is on the line”—not just for Harvard, but for the broader debate over free speech, religious discrimination, and the responsibilities of elite academic institutions in today's polarized environment. To Submit a Question, contact us at this link: https://gideonlawgroup.com/podcastNJAC: https://jewishadvocacycenter.orgGideon Law: https://gideonlawgroup.comLasting Media: https://lastingmediagroup.com Update on Issue: https://dailycaller.com/2025/06/24/donald-trump-harvard-university-surrender-officials-deal-federal-government/Mark’s recent interview on CNN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpeBtyAMpXkSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

There is a sense of relief among most Americans and now it’s time to get to work and get things done for our country. President Trump is now preparing to take office with a clear mandate and we discuss some of of the “post-mortem,” fallout, and next steps. Terry: Pastor Johnny Bragg & “The Value of a Good Name

In this episode of the "Better Gird Up" Podcast, Goldfeder is out of the office but Miles Terry takes a moment to put a spotlight on his childhood Pastor after discovering a long lost audio file from a sermon he gave almost 30 years ago. As a kid growing up in church – to me John Henry Bragg was more than a pastor. He was a role model, a mentor, a hunting buddy, and a friend. More than twenty-five years have passed since his death, and like anything else, it’s easy for life to go on and memories to fade – but we think it’s important to go back, remember, and bring honor and respect to those who were trailblazers in the ministry. In this episode, take a moment and join the rest of Miles Terry’s church family from 1995 as we hear a sermon based on Proverbs 22:1 from Pastor Johnny Bragg.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
