Love is as vital to our lives as oxygen is to our physical bodies. Love is more than an emotion; it's a necessary element in life. This morning, Pastor Mike will share a familiar parable that emphasizes the power of love by highlighting the first-century cultural elements that might get overlooked in a 21st-century reading.

Today marks our final message unpacking the book of 1 Peter. 1 Peter provides practical lessons on how to live a life by faith. In today's study, Peter reserves final instructions to Pastors and those leading the church and concludes by making the case for the power of humility. Humility may seem like an unattractive characteristic, but it unlocks power to overcome our adversary and is an effective means of surrendering our worries, anxieties, and fears to God.

In today's podcast, Pastor Mike unpacks 1 Peter 4 as Peter begins to wind down his letter by amping things up. He makes the bold statement that "the end of all things is at hand". But WAIT! Didn't Jesus say that no one knows the day or the hour when God has set for His return? Not even Him? 1 Peter 3 may be one of the most misunderstood passages in 1 Peter, if not in the entire Bible. These verses have been misrepresented to suppress and oppress. By putting these instructions into practice, we continue our transformation and allow people to see God in us!
