Celebrating Joy

I had the honor and privilege of spending time with The Porch director, Kylen Perry, discussing the joy found in Christ. Jesus desires for us to experience thefullness of joy—a joy that can only be found in Him! It was a true joy to sit down with Freddy and hear about the season of suffering he is currently walking through. Our conversation was a powerful reminder of the profound beauty that can be found in navigating difficult times. We have the choice to see our suffering as an opportunity to be vulnerable—with one another and with the Lord. It is well with my soul, knowing that beauty can arise from even the deepest valleys.

I've known Nate since I was in 6th grade, and he has been an encourager in my life ever since. I'm so grateful for the mentorship he's provided. This morning, we spent time discussing how the Lord should truly be in control of every situation in our lives. Let Him lead!

Sarah has faced many health battles but has remained steadfast in her faith even though she felt so lost. She shares how she once felt like she lost her identity amid it all, but now, looking back, she sees where her true identity is found and that is the Lord!

I am so encouraged by Ashley. She has a heart of pure gold; she lives so boldly for the Lord, and I'm so thankful to have her in my life. I can't wait for y'all to hear part of Ashley's story and how the Lord works in her life. In this episode, we talk about the Lord's provision in all seasons of life, but especially in trials.

Guys! I'm so excited about this weeks episode. I got to sit down with some good friends of mine, who just recently got married! Lynsee and I met at Kanakuk a few years ago and I am so thankful for the friendship that we have. Through Lynsee, I have gotten to watch her grow her love for Trent everyday. I love my dear friends even though we are many miles apart. I hope you find encouragement through their story as much as I do!

I hope you enjoy this week's episode of celebrating joy! I got to answer some questions my friends and family had asked me. It was a challenging and fun way to sit down and share more about myself!

I'm so excited about this! My good friend David Nunez and I got to talk about some good stuff in this podcast. David has truly embraced what living as a true authentic Christian is. He talks about the brokenness he once walked in and how the Lord called Him back. I admire David's vulnerability to talk about the hard stuff. My hope and prayer for anyone who is listening is that you will walk away knowing that you are never to far deep in sin for the Lord. The Lord forgives us. He desires for a relationship with us! 

I had the honor to talk with Lauren Bell this week. Lauren is a graduate of Samford University who has one of the coolest stories. Lauren was born with a disability, but she doesn't let that effect who the Lord has called her to be. Talking with her brought me so much encouragement and a new perspective to my life. I hope you are encouraged by her! 

It was such a joy getting to sit and talk with Lauren about how the Lord is using her in this season of life! Lauren has a podcast of her own, Authentic, and we talk about the importance of living an authentic life.

This week I got to talk to my really good friend, Collin Bass! We talked about his commitments and how dedicated he is to achieving them. He gives great advice on how he achieves his goals and how to remain passionate about them. 

Alex Trotter and I discussed the importance of not placing your faith in others. We hit the point that if our lives are comfortable, we need to work to get uncomfortable. We hope that through this episode, you will see the joy in following Christ and living in obedience to Him.
