It’s not that I’ve been afraid men wouldn’t see me as “wife material” because of my sexuality- it’s that I convinced myself I didn’t want them to. So I leaned into detachment, promiscuity, and surface-level passion as my armor.Inspired by Carrie Bradshaw’s question in Sex and the City- “Can women have sex like men?” I’m unpacking why I’ve chosen physical connection over emotional intimacy, and what it’s cost me.
