Everyone wants to live longer. Some are even trying to live forever. But beneath that question is a deeper one: why do we want to live forever in the first place? At the same time, movements like Earth Day push us to preserve the planet at all costs—to protect, sustain, and ultimately “save” what we have. But can saving the earth actually address the deeper problem within us?
