May 4-10: Numbers 11-14; 20-24; 27- Come Follow Me Lesson Ideas
Hell0! This week the Junior primary lesson idea has the kids practicing how to remember to be grateful! They draw or write a thank you card and end class with a gratitude prayer. The senior lesson idea starts off with cool facts about snakes and then acting out the fiery serpent story in Numbers. They then apply the doctrine by writing a fictional story about a kid that has a fiery serpent in their life today.

April 20-26: Exodus 19-20;24;31-34, Come Follow Me lesson ideas
In this week's lesson ideas the Junior primary gets to draw the commandments and place them as road signs and race their cars along the track. Senior Primary plays Commandment charades and then practices responding to a comment from a peer about how commandments aren't cool anymore.

Let's talk about scaffolding! As gospel teachers, we need to scaffold kids' learning experiences in the church and at home to build their confidence. Starting in Primary, we want to support them in small but successful teaching experiences. So they can confidently say, yes! I can talk about a gospel principle to my peers.

Junior Primary will be learning about soft vs. hard hearts and telling stories to their partners with a picture prompt. Senior Primary will be doing a gallery walk to learn about the Passover symbols and how it connects to our sacrament.

March 16-22: Genesis 42-50, Come Follow Me Lesson ideas
Junior Primary this week will be telling the story of Joseph forgiving his brothers with a partner and popsicle sticks. Then they will create a heart drawing that shows how they feel when they forgive! Senior Primary will do a deep dive into the scriptures to understand how Joseph's story is similar to Jesus Christ. They will then teach each other what they learned in a cooperative learning structure, inside/outside circles. It's going to be a great week!

They then make a pretend "video clip" on tips of how to have less contention and more love in a family!

This week's Junior lesson idea comes from a Friend article- "5 Ways to Be a Peacemaker." Keep kids active by engaging them in a role-playing guessing game. The Senior lesson idea focuses on helping kids become leaders and teachers in their classroom by providing them with a short teaching experience based on covenants.

The Junior Primary lesson idea is an idea about learning through play that you and other's are children of God. The Senior lesson idea is an example of how to set up a role plays in your class to practice tough decisions older kids might face in their daily life.
