Episode 11: Are We Not All Beggars? (President Holland)
King Benjamin asks one of the most thought provoking questions in the entire Book of Mormon when he says, "Are we not all beggars? Do we not all depend on [God]?" The Savior's ministry was focused on helping everyone, but He gave special attention to the poor and the needy. In this talk from President Holland, he invites us to join Christ in His work to give relief to those who are suffering. Episode 10: Amazing Grace (Elder Uchtdorf)
What exactly is Grace and do members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe in grace? While it may not be a concept we hear discussed frequently, we absolutely believe in the grace that our Heavenly Father offers us through the atonement of His Son. Elder Uchtdorf teaches what grace is and why it is so essential to our doctrine. The complete talk can be found here: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2015/04/the-gift-of-grace?lang=eng The devotional from Brad Wilcox can be watched here: https://speeches.byu.edu/talks/brad-wilcox/his-grace-is-sufficient/

09: Trusting God During Our Trials (Elder Scott)
We all experience trials. Life was not intended to be easy, but for some, life often seems to be more difficult than fulfilling. However, we have been sent to this earth to learn and grow and often that growth comes because of and through our trials. Elder Scott teaches in this talk that as we learn to ask God what He needs us to learn and how we can change through these experiences, we will be better prepared to become the disciples He needs us to become. 08: The Power of Forgiveness (President Faust)
One of the most difficult commandments that Christ gave us was to forgive everyone. Sometimes forgiveness is simply, other times, it may feel impossible, yet Christ did not say that we only need to forgive those who commit minor trespasses against us, but that we need to forgive everyone. In his final address before passing away. President Faust shares a remarkable talk about the healing that will come into our lives as we forgive. 07: A Saint is a Sinner Who Keeps Trying (Elder Renlund)
The restored church of Jesus Christ was named by Christ himself and is called "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." For some of us, we may wonder why we are called 'Saints', and we would likely be the first to point out just how un-saintly we all are. We all fall short, but that doesn't stop us from being Saints. Elder Renlund in this address from April 2015 teaches that saints are sinners who keep trying. We should not get discouraged when we fall short but should trust that God is satisfied with our effort to keep trying. We also should be patient with others as they keep trying. 06: The Enabling Power of Christ's Atonement (Elder Bednar)
Each person is carrying something with them. We are all going through trials and challenges, some minor and others serious. But why? If we are here on earth to find joy, if God's plan is the plan of happiness, why do we all have to experience trials? Elder Bednar discussed not only why we have trials, but how we can receive strength to move forward in the face of our most challenging days. You can listen to the complete talk from the April 2014 General Conference: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2014/04/bear-up-their-burdens-with-ease?lang=eng

05: The Mission Experience God has Prepared for You (Elder Waddell)
For dozens of reasons, Christ has asked His disciples to preach His gospel and to share His words with all of God's children. As we take this opportunity to become missionaries, our lives are forever changed. However, as Elder W. Christopher Waddell taught in October 2011, the sacrifices that we made on our missions will be of the greatest benefit to us as we learn to apply the lessons that we learned during those 18-to-24-months of service. God has prepared a unique mission experience for each of His children who is willing to dedicate their lives to Him. As we make covenants with our Father in Heaven, He will do all that is in His power to bring us back to return and be with Him again. 04: The Power of the Book of Mormon (President Nelson)
The Book of Mormon has the power to change hearts and lives. But, has it changed yours? As we prepare to study the Book of Mormon as a part of 'Come Follow Me' in 2024, I discuss President Nelson's talk from 2017. President Nelson teaches us how valuable the Book of Mormon is and how essential it is for each of us to cherish it and study it each and every day. The Book of Mormon has the power to transform us and make us better people. 03: Applying Christ's Atonement (Elder Maxwell)
The atonement of Jesus Christ was not something that took place 2,000 years ago, it is something that can and should be taking place in each of our lives each and every day. Elder Neal A. Maxwell taught us how to apply the atoning blood of Jesus Christ into our lives. As we find ways to apply Christ's sacrifice into our lives, we can allow that sacrifice to change who we are - we can start to become more Christlike. The complete talk can be found here: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/1997/10/apply-the-atoning-blood-of-christ?lang=eng

02: The Far Reaching Impact of Kindness (Elder Wirthlin)
There are a lot of things that we need more of in this world, but at the top of that list is KINDNESS. In 2005, Elder Wirthlin gave an incredible address titled "The Virtue of Kindness" in which he teaches us that kindness has the ability to make our lives and the lives of those around us better. Elder Wirhlin says, “Who can tell what far-reaching impact we can have if we are only kind?” Kindness has the power to change hearts and lives. Each of us should do our part to replace some of the rudeness that is in the world with kindness. We will never regret being kind. 01: "I Shall Heal You" (Elder Kearon)
For the inaugural episode of Conference Reruns, we are going back to the first talk given by Elder Patrick Kearon, our newest apostle. Elder Kearon shares with us a story from his childhood that changed his life and taught him the need to be exactly obedient. He shares his testimony that healing can be found in Jesus Christ and that whatever mistakes we have made, we can change and return to Christ's outstretched arms. Here is the complete talk from October 2010: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vs1zqc9-HzE
