Covenant Hope: Anchor of the Soul

Sometimes it seems like God disappears and doesn't keep His promises to us personally. We discuss how this may be a story of our own creating that misattributes things to God He never promised. God always keeps His word even if it's not in the way we expect or want it.

Patience and trust are required for hope to flourish. And together these principles allow us to persevere through trials with lively hope.

Why is it so essential for priesthood authority from God to make covenants and why are temples still important for providing hope today?

In part 2 of obtaining hope, we discuss how prayer, the act of remembering and as a community of Christ, lead us to obtain hope for ourselves and sharing that hope with others.

Hope is a nice concept but how do we obtain hope for ourselves and apply it daily? This is part 1 on obtaining hope where we look at how prophets and the scriptures they record for us help show us the way to obtain hope.

Faith, Hope, and Charity are three of the key theological virtues that are essential characteristics that we must cultivate in our own lives. However, the differences between the three and how they build on each other are sometimes difficult to distinguish.

In the 2nd part of the Plan of Salvation, we cover from the spirit world to eternal life with God. We spend a lot of time talking about the 2nd coming of Christ, the resurrection and judgment, and how hope changes the way we view those future experiences.

God created a plan for all of us called the Plan of Salvation. Covenants and hope were essential parts of that plan. This episode will cover the first half of the plan, from our pre-mortal life till we leave mortal life through death.

Because we are imperfect we will inevitably break the covenants we have made. How can the Atonement of Jesus Christ restore our hope?
