I'm a Pastor, a Person of Faith, an Author, A Husband, a Father to my wonderful biological and spiritual children and a friend. In Episode 2, I talked about Your Why. Why is a question you ask when you want to get the understanding to a statement made or to a question. Asking "Why" gives you a better understanding of who you are and how things work and operate. In Episode 3, I talked about your Who It is important to know and understand who you are as a person and in Christ. Who you are is not about your degrees, accolades, status or achievements. Many people have continued to look down on themselves, have considered themselves to be unworthy, do not amount to anything which makes them think they do not have anything good to offer in life and to their generation. There is something special and unique about you and that is how you identify your Who. In this Episode 4, I dealt with Your What Once you have identified your Why and your Who, you can navigate your way through identifying your What. Your What is what on earth have you been tasked and assigned to do. Everyone has a God giving assignment and task designed for only you to accomplish. You can always Step Out and Step In to your What, when you have identified your "Why" and "Who". Please checkout Episodes 2, 3 and 4 on my YouTube page. In Episode 5. I'll dealing with your How Knowing your Why, Who, and What will allow your How to fall in place. Most people do not understand their How because they have not taken a moment to understand the Why, Who, and What. I come from a part of the world where before you cook rice, you must thoroughly wash it. Most were taught how to cook rice that way, but we never bothered to ask the Why before the How. Up and until date, that is how I have been cooking rice even in a rice cooker until one day, I bought a bag of rice from the store and on the instruction was DO NOT WASH BEFORE COOKING. The turned on the light for me to find out Why do I have to wash the rice before cooking it. This reminds me of a story of this little girl who watched her mother cook fish in a baking pan. She watched her mother cut off the head and tail of the fish as she placed it in the baking pan. The little girl asked her mother why she cut off the head and tail of the fish and her response was, that was how her mother cooked fish. This little girl had the opportunity to visit her grandmother, so she asked her why she cooked fish by cutting off the head and tail. She also responded that was how she also saw her mother cook fish. The little girl and her grandmother visited her great grandmother and they posed the same question to her. She then explained that, her cooking pot was one size too small and the only way the fish will fit the pot was to cut off the head and the tail. Knowing your How allows you not to follow the crowd and the status quo. Your How makes you different from everyone else and that is what makes you unique. 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1 Peter 2:9 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. You were created as a unique, wonderful, peculiar and an amazing individual with so much potential, With amazing gifts, talents and abilities that your How will allow you to give to the world and generations what God packaged you with. Step Out Step In to identify your How. In other words, identify How you do things effectively to be more productive. Let your How separate you from everyone else to make you that unique individual. Knowing Your What.
My name is David Gyawu. Please checkout Episodes 2 and 3 on my YouTube page. In this Episode 4, I will be dealing with Your What Once you have identified your Why and your Who, you can navigate your way through identifying your What. Your What is what on earth have you been tasked and assigned to do. Everyone has a God giving assignment and task designed for only you to accomplish. You can always Step Out and Step In to your What, when you have identified your "Why" and "Who". Throughout the Bible, there were many people who knew what their assignment was. Your What is sometimes designed in a manner of going through a process of challenges, defeats and failures, but God will use all that to prepare you for whatever your assignment is. When you know your What, you do not lose your focus and you do not give up no matter what. Joseph's What was to become the Prime Minister of Egypt. He knew his What when he dreamt. His brothers hated him after he told his dream to them. They stripped him of his coat of many colors his father gave him but could not strip him of his What. He was put in a dry pit, a place of loneliness, was sold to the Ishmaelites, then sold to Potiphar, whose wife falsely accuse him of attempted rape which ended him in the king's prison. Because he knew his what, he continued to serve his purpose until he was removed from prison to occupy the position of the Prime Minister. God knew there was going to be seven years of farming, so He prepared Joseph to occupy that position in Egypt to save the Egyptians and his family. Moses' What was to deliver the children of Israel out of Egyptian captivity and bondage. Moses being a Jew grew up in Pharos's palace at a time when all Jewish babies under two years were ordered to be killed. He refused to be called an Egyptian when he grew up, committed murder in an attempt to help a Jew who was being maltreated by an Egyptian soldier. He became a fugitive, but God brought him back to Egypt to deliver the Israelites from slavery and bondage to the wilderness enroute to the Promise Land. David's What was to be the next king of Israel. His seven brothers hated him because he was born out of wedlock. He was a shepherd to his father's sheep at the backside of the wilderness. He almost missed his own prophetic conference organized in his father's house to be anointed as the next king of Israel. Because his brothers hated him, they sent him to the part of the wilderness where he could have been killed by a lion or bear. He rather killed a lion and a bear which prepared him to have confidence and trust in God to face and kill a national challenge called Goliath. Jesus' What was to offer Himself as a sacrifice for you and I to reconcile us back to God. The first Adam relegated the power God invested in man to satan out of disobedience and sin. The second Adam, Jesus Christ reinstated that power back to man because of His obedience to God. Luke 10:19 (NKJV) Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. You realize that, in the scripture I just read, Jesus said "I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. Jesus never said the "powers but power". The only power the devil stole from man has been handed over back to man with authority. Jesus stayed focused because He knew His What. Because Jesus knew and understood His What, you can also understand your What through Christ Jesus. Do you know your What? Take a moment to identify your What. You were created as a unique, wonderful, peculiar and an amazing individual with so much potential, gifts, talents and abilities that your What will allow you to give to the world and your generation what God packaged you with. Knowing Your Who
My name is David Gyawu. Please checkout Episode 2 on my YouTube page. In this Episode, I will be dealing with Your Who. Who you are matters to God a lot. Knowing your "Why" will help you navigate to know Who you are. As a child of God, you belong to God's chosen family. 1 Peter 2:9 (NLT) But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests,[a] a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. It is important to know and understand who you are in Christ. Many people have continued to look down on themselves, have considered themselves to be inferior, I don't amount to anything which makes them think they do not have anything to offer in life and to their generation. Sometimes, many people look at their background, that is where they are coming from, or their status in life based on their education to identify who they are. When God had as assignment for Gideon to go deliver the Israelites from the Medianites, he was found in the wine press threshing wheat. Gideon was at the wrong place, doing the wrong thing at the wrong time. Israel was at war and had been taken captive and out of fear and not placing any value on himself, Gideon went into hiding. When the angel of the Lord appeared to him, God looked beyond his fears and called him a mighty man of valor meaning he was a hero in the sight of God. Judges 6:15 (NLT) "But Lord," Gideon replied, "how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!" When the angel of the Lord had mentioned to Gideon that God was with him, he found and gave all kinds of excuses why he was not the right fit for God's assignment because of where he came from, the tribe of Manasseh and being the least in his entire family. God does not make us who we are based on where we come from but based on Who we are in Him. 1 John 4:4 (NKJV) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Jesus Christ did not allow where He was born to limit His ministry and His assignment on earth. Nazareth was place where I believe nothing good came out of. John 1:46 (NKJV) And Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." You are who you are in Christ Jesus. If you will resign from giving excuses God will let you know who you are so you can Step Out and Step In to God's giving assignment for your life. This is one thing I know about God. He does not call the qualified who is unavailable, but He qualifies the one He calls who is available. Understanding your Why will help you to navigate to know your Who. Step Out Step In to know and understand your Who in order to live a very productive and fruitful life. Don't forget to Subscribe to my Podcast, Share and Comment. Knowing Your Why!
In this Episode, I will be talking about Knowing Your Why. Why is a question you ask when you want to get the understanding to a statement made or a to a question. There are certain parts of the world where if the answer to your question is NO you dare not ask Why. Anytime my kids will ask me an opened ended question and I answered NO they would demand for a Why. Asking "Why" gives you a better understanding of who you are and how things work and operate. The reason why many people are where they are in life and doing what they continue to do without making changes and adjustments is, they have not asked the "Why" for their existence. I have good news for you. Always remember and Know that You are never a mistake, an error or an experiment. God had you in mind even before your parents met
