Dear Child Of God,When you think about sin, what is the first thing that pops in your head? Is it fornication? Adultery? Idolatry? Murder? Not walking in the will of God?If you said 'yes' to any of these, you're right. Those are considered sins in the eyes of God. But what about those other 'little' sins we have categorized as not so bad because we don't think it's that deep?What about lying? Gossiping? Judging others? procrastination and laziness? I'm sure that now that I have called them out loud, you're thinking ''yeah that's true. Those are bad too''.But the truth is, a lot of the times we put them aside and they have become so normal in our society. But these ''little'' sins that we deem innocent, are abominations in the eyes of God. God doesn't just want us to look at the outward sins but He is also interested about the sins of the heart.In this episode, Sammy J discuses 7 sins that we take lightly but God takes seriously. because God is so intentional and He doesn't want us to be walking outside of his will. Dear child of God,When we talk about worship, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Is it your favorite worship song? Is it lifting your hands in the air when singing?What does worship mean to you?Maybe like you, whenever I heard of the word 'worship', my first response was to put on music. But as I grew in my faith, God showed me that true worship to him was obeying his word. True worship to Him was loving people right. True worship to God was forgiving. True worship was living a life with a repentant heart and honoring God, not just with my words but with my actions, what I wore, how I spoke, what I ate,with my emotions, EVERYTHING!God was showing me that, He wanted to be Lord over ALL my life and not just some parts. He wanted me wholeheartedly.This pushed me to be so much more intentional about how I live. To live for an audience of ONE: GOD! Dear Child Of God,Have you ever found yourself in a space where you feel like maybe you didn't hear from God and so you start comparing yourself? You start wondering if what you are doing has impact, if you're relevant. This past week, I had to sit with myself and be honest. I had started comparing myself with other people. I started feeling as though I have nothing to say. I started saying things like 'God, why do I seem to be working so hard and I get no results, yet someone else seems to just start and they have what I want?'God had to remind that, everyone's journey is different and with Him, it's not about popularity. It's about impact.When the devil came to tempt Jesus by telling him to bow to him (the devil), Jesus could have taken the eay way. Jesus could have given up his authority for a temporary solution/pleasure. But Jesus knew better. He knew that the suffering of today was nothing compared to the glory of tomorrw. And his sacrifice led to the world being saved.So dear child of God, God doesn't want to take you somewhere just to leave you stranded. He wants you to last. And for that, it will take time. But if I were to tell you to wait for 5 hours, 5 days, 5 months, 5 years, ...would you still enjoy waiting?The truth is, the waiting season is very unpleasant, it's tiring, it'unpreictable because you don't even know when it will end. And a lot of the times, when we find ourselves in the waiting season, our first reaction is to complain, compare ourselves to others, and we will try to rush it. But you cannot rush your waiting season!Your waiting season is not punishment; it's preparation. God is trying to prune something in you. God is trying to teach you something. God is trying to reveal something to you and if you don't learn that lesson, you will find yourself repeating the same mistakes and repeating the same cycles.So dear child of God, in this episode, Sammy discusses what the waiting season really entails and how you can wait well. What you need to be doing in your waiting season and how you can partner with God in order to become who He always intended you to be.How you wait matters! So wait well.

You start feeling like God doesn't care about you. You feel God is insensitive to your requests. But a lot of the times, when we feel distant from God, the person who has moved is us; not God. There could be so many things hindering us from feeling God's presence: is it sin? Is it distractions? Is it your misconceptions about God?In this episode, Sammy dives into why we may feel distant from God and how to reconnect with Him again.
