Dear Elizabeth

A friend once pointed out I give too much power to the world and peple around me. It drew attention to how easily decisions could me made with a mindset of “what will people think”… This was true for me in ways and I wondered if this could also be true of many of us. Many of us allow people's remarks and opinions to play too big a role in what God is building through us. It made me question what it would look like if we paused and stopped to consider what everyone around us is saying or not saying and truly set our eyes on God. What would change if we built solely for God ?In this letter we explore what that means and how we can set our hearts on things above and not be too easily swayed on our God given mission.

Recording this was almost as messy as the concept where sometimes you can be well into something and before you get to the end there's some chaos, disruptions and delays in between that are often unwelcome interruptions.Today we talk about how we need to believe we are going through and aren't stuck no matter how much it feels like we are. It's also a reminder there are certain things happening way in the background that are necessary for the completion of what you are rebuilding.I quoted a song and completely butchered the artist name, the artist is Melvin Crispell III, I highly recommend you listen to it. It's a good reminder that God is in the detail.Don't give up Elizabeth, you're in the middle...there is an end. It will be beautiful.

What comes to mind when you think of building. I immediately see a construction site and a hard hat and lots of dust.Building requires a lot of tools and hard work both in the literal and metaphoric sense.Rebuilding is the same, only that we start when there's already something set up that we must first deconstruct.In this letter we will talk about 'clearing the ground' and setting up to start the work of rebuilding. Life has a way of making us feel unproductive. Whether it's through comparison, self doubt or time seeming to run by.In this letter I share from a time I felt this way and lessons I have learnt since then. I remind us that through everything we are still becoming even when it feels that there is no tangible progress.I invite us all to be present where we are and take note of how God is working in us even in what may feel like nothing.

Life can feel like a hike. It can be a slow walk beside a stream then suddenly it’s a rocky steep . It helps when we have a helper, a guide and in this letter we tackle what it looks like to walk with our guide.

What does it mean to Trust … and obey ? I often grapple with the concept . I have however picked up a few lessons along the way and in February 2018 it seemed to have been weighing heavy on my mind .In this letter I share what I learnt and continue to learn and I pray it encourages you to keep trusting and obeying .

Vulnerability is a concept I continue to explore and learn to embrace. In this episode I share a few lessons I’ve learned around the subject and the power I believe it holds.We can be many things , what we can always be certain we can be best at, is being ourselves.
